There’s a lot of talk that Poch is trying to squeeze as much football out of Son as possible before he departs for he Asia cup, so if that holds he should start.

Sterling *should* also start as if Pep doesn’t win that game it really puts them on the back foot. But reduced minutes a big possibility for both.

Son could easily be benched for Moura also! So hard to call here players at the minute.

          Yeah, I know.

But if I read that correctly, if you had to bet youd say they both will start.

Yeah I think so - Son maybe a bit more of a doubt than sterling but they should both start. Pep & Poch could both be frauds & bench them though!

        Or the opposite with Son?

If he wants to bench Kane for the Arsenal LC game, he will start Son as the number 9. If that’s what Poch is thinking abt then Im not sure Son starts v Burnley...

Can you post evidence in support of this? Excluding the first two league matches that Emery was ever in charge at the club, I think Lacazette has started 1 league games against top 6 and benched for 1, excluding matches where he was unavailable or returning from injury (i.e. the immediate game after missing out through injury). Feel free to point out where I'm wrong 🙂 Even if I've made a small mistake, I don't see enough evidence to to form a pattern or generalisation.

Forget opinions on the moves, mostly checking I'm timing them right.

Want to do Salah & Rich to Sterling & Sané. Want to wait as late as possible to hear as much as possible about City squad.

Sané COULD rise tonight, so am I sensible doing Salah to Sané now to avoid being priced out, then the other tomorrow assuming no bad news on Sterling?

That'd also allow Sané to Sterling if by some disaster Sané is ruled out tomorrow.

Probably unnecessary thought but does this seem sensible?

I wouldn’t, Salah hitting form and Rich and has a good run of fixtures coming up is ticking over nicely. I think one of Sterling and Sane will be benched at the weekend but god knows which one. Would consider moving salah to a city mid but don’t think the timing is right now.

it can be anything, full 90 minutes and no goal would mean he certainly isnt starting vs Southampton, now its something like 50:50. As for me, i've already done my ft so definitely not going -4 to sell him for some starter

I think I’d rather he played 90 and blanked would be an easier decision

keep for this gw. He had the only goal in today's game which shows that he and auba are only legit goalscorers in that team, and if he's benched, its not like he's not able to score from bench, like we've seen against spurs and utd

not sure about sterling 2nd on the captain poll, sterling always a good shout to return but imo aubameyang and hazard more likely to hit double or triple attacking returns. sterling's big scores have all come against a bunch of trash this season, the kind of trash kane, aubameyang and hazard are up against next. difference between everton and burnley/southampton/brighton's defences is bigger than difference between man city and tottenham/arsenal/chelsea's attacks imo

I agree, Sterling can hattrick against pretty much anyone, but the Pep factor would really put me off captaining him.

Kane meanwhile goes into the Burnley game with one start in his last 11 days - should be primed for points (hopefully)
