Manchester City options are likely to form the bedrock of Fantasy Premier League teams again this season.

However, selecting the right ones might prove challenging in the early part of the season.

In this latest article, we take a look at how they performed last season and what trends were set at different stages of the campaign.

As this uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout members area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.

It is a very fun pick

              Nice opening 2 games
              Tough game vs Pool
A NLD, but to me that means goals galore if the past is anything to go on

            From the last page

            Avoiding Brighton's attack personally

            1) they're not great at scoring
            2) a lot of rotation risks

They scored the least of all teams that stayed up last season (35) and only scored 34 goals the season before

It’s a different attack tho mate. New manager’s system is literally set up for his front 3 to do damage.

Trossard is a winger who plays for Brighton and costs 6.0. He's done well in preseason and Brighton have good fixtures.

Adams will rotate with Smith. He's a striker who did very well last season for Birmingham (I know, I know, different league) and only costs 6.0. Plays for an attacking side.

I’m thinking the same! Currently on KWP, think he will be rotated after GW2 with Foyth back.

I’m thinking of using my transfers on this position early on as the rest of my team is pretty safe...

      GW1 KWP
      GW2 Zouma

Can’t guarantee noble and Jorginho play every week when there is Wilshere waiting for noble and Kovacic and Kante better than Jorginho.

I think Robinson, SHU fans here think he starts up front. Ceballos a safe pick but probs ends up being deep roaming playmaker. Haven’t found a 4.5, 5 or 5.5 mid I like

Jorginho is a terrible pick imo. 0 threat from open play and isn't even on penalties like some thought. Robinson would be my pick at that price

McGinn might play a bit deep eventually and seems to be a YC machine.

I like Ceballos but I'm concerned about (a) minutes and (b) deepness.

Robinson is my current pick. I think he plays after his preseason performance.

Have 0.5 itb to make him Mount/Barkley just in case.

Pass. It's much safer to just have Perez/Zaha etc and wait for the best of the rotten 5.5 bunch to emerge.

Really think Hughes could be a shout. Decent form when he came back from injury and secured his starting spot, and decent pre-season form. Likes to get in around the box.

      I'm starting with Cebellos.
There's enough around the price mark to switch, but everything I've seen / read tells me hes going to be the Ramsey replacement, or play in the no. 10 position. For 5.5,I love the idea of him - and seems a sensible risk.

lots of bandwaggonning for Championship players from the promoted sides on here. I prefer a safer pick with an actual premier league player from a midtable side.

Wilshere. Of course needs to stay fit but has had a very good PS. Plus saves 0.5.

        Thoughts on Robinson and Ceballos.

Robinson - everyone is mentioning his preseason form, quite rightly. But what of last season? The lad couldn't stop scoring. His turn, touch and shot are brilliant. He's like a good Jesse Lingard. Best 5.5 by a mile. OOP as striker too.

What is with this obsession with Ceballos? He has like two goals in his entire career and never assists. Awful pick.

McGinn card magnet but will get the odd return.

Depend if your planning on starting the 4.0 or are they on the bench? No point having 5.5m on the bench and no 4.0 m guaranteed to start at the moment.

'It will probably prove difficult to include both players (Sterling and KDB) given the premium options that might need covering elsewhere'

    Henderson
    TAA, Robbo, Zinchenko, Coleman
    Salah, Perez, KDB, Sterling
    Jota, King

    Button, Dendoncker, Lundstram, Wickham

    Boom!

It's a nice team - had something similar myself for a while but decided having Wilson & Siggy was more valuable than KDB & another 6.5m early on.
