Manchester City are the focus of the Double Gameweek 30+ captain poll.

Their assets have dominated the discussion boards for weeks since the fixtures were announced, and now it is time to make the big decision.

We’ve compared all the best options to help you chose the right one for your team…

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area only those with a valid subscription can read it in full.

Captain Poll

Kevin De Bruyne (£10.6m) is the current poll leader heading into today’s deadline, backed by 40.1% of voters.

With two matches and more minutes than any other outfield Manchester City asset this season, that is not a massive surprise at all.

The Belgian is top of the league for assists in 2019/20, with a total of 18, and his eight goals so far this campaign already matches his best tally in a Premier League season.

Not too far behind him is Sergio Aguero (£11.8m), who has garnered the support of 33.9% for the very same fixtures as De Bruyne.

The Argentinian has five goals in his last six against Arsenal and the same number in his last six against Burnley. He also started seven of the last nine matches before lockdown, suggesting that Pep Guardiola still favours him over Gabriel Jesus (£9.6m).

The gap between those two Manchester City options and the rest of the pack is rather large.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.1m) has come up in third place but still only managed to pull in the support of 6.2% of voters.

The Arsenal man is generally afforded more minutes than the average Manchester City asset, although there is a tight turnaround between fixtures in Double Gameweek 30+.

Either way, he is still in the Golden Boot race with 17 goals this season, two behind Jamie Vardy (£9.7m) and, if he were to bridge the 15-point gap between him and the Leicester man, he would be in with a chance of being the top-scoring FPL forward for two seasons in a row.

Jack Grealish (£6.4m) is a surprise inclusion in the top five for the poll results, but support for the Aston Villa man is understandable. He has 14 attacking returns this season, more than any colleague.

Raheem Sterling (£11.7m) completes the top five with the backing of 4.7%. We imagine the support for him is so small on account of his rotation threat and his poor form going into lockdown.

His last attacking return came in Gameweek 19 with his tally for the season standing at 13. The last two seasons have seen Sterling get up to 35 and 32 respectively, showing just how much of a struggle 2019/20 has been for him.

Hmm, just made a shocking switch as a result of reading the article. Was captaining Kun but now as I'm going with Kev, I've partnered him with Raz and Maz, which enables me to have Auba.

Nope, im Sterling all the way. Have had him in my template from the start. The main reason is obviously past points and this is pretty much the start of a new season. I also think he has been very active on social media in regards to MLB. I think he will be very motivated to perform.

Bench boosting managers will need at least a couple of them and seasoned managers will know that ignoring proven players with a single fixture in favour of riskier options with a double can often prove folly anyway, but what single gameweek assets will you be pinning your hopes on as FPL finally returns tonight?

I want Liverpool coverage in my team - Everton are decent and it’s a derby but with home advantage perhaps not as beneficial without the fans, it might well be that a hugely motivated Liverpool can come out on top here and i’m looking at having Alexander-Arnold and maybe one of Salah or Mané in my side too.

Chelsea play an Aston Villa side who should be fighting for their lives but their defence have proved rather obliging this season so Tammy Abraham might fancy his chances at a ground he knows well, though I’d be a bit concerned about his minutes as he often fails to finish games and Oliver Giroud was in good form before the break. Mason Mount could be a good alternative here at just £6.2m.

Wolves are another single gameweek team with a good fixture on paper and the likes of Matt Doherty and Raul Jiminez could well be worth considering against a West Ham side that have conceded 26 goals in 14 home games this season.

For bench boosters with budgets stretched over 15 players, I would also be looking at Romain Saiss at Wolves for £4.6m, Newcastle’s Jamaal Lascelles at £4.3m and Jack Stephens for a Southampton side that has travelled well this season at £4.4m.

How many single gameweek players will you have in your teams this week and are there any other names you think we should be considering over the double gameweekers?

Wolves fixture is tasty imo so Doherty and Jimenez

Haven't seen this guy mentioned at all which has really surprised me.

      -Nailed
      -On pens
-Potentially explosive with 7 double digit hauls this season.
-4th highest scorer in FPL behind only Salah, Mane and KdB, and also cheaper than the above.
-Playing for a top side pushing to secure their grip on CL qualification.
-Good fixture vs relegation threatened team.
-Favourable ongoing fixtures for those without WC or chips.

The answer of course is... Vardy! Is there something I'm missing as to why I'm not seeing him in hardly any teams?

Was just logging in to say this! I can't shake the feeling that he is going to mega haul against a skeleton Watford team. He's also on the charge for the golden boot - so much to play for...

I see so many people fretting over man city assets

My advice is just pick KDB and 2 from below and you should be fine.

    Aguero (124 points)
    Mahrez (121 points)
    Sterling (118 points)
    Ederson (82 points)

Apart from Ederson and KDB all of the above has similar points and will probably have similar minutes over both matches

Anyone holding on to dear ol' Danny Ings? I've quite a bit of cash tied up in him (and I know that doesn't matter too much at this point) but I can't say that I'm confident in any of the potential replacements...

Sold for Kun, that’s a bit of an upgrade lol
I find it hard to see past BB front 3 other than Kun, Auba & Jimi but it’s taking a lot of the budget up front.
If you spend the $$ wisely elsewhere it may actually work for you

Hahah, I'd switch in Kun if I could! Yeah I've gone heavy in the midfield instead, thought I'd mix it up a tad

I’m doing the opposite, light in mid with balanced mid price options: Kdb, Grealish, Mount, Sarr/Barnes and Adama.
Bringing all the midfield big hitters (Mane, Mo, Son, Fernandes) back on a WC next week with cheap strikers and fodder bench

    A) Martial + Richarlison + Guendouzi (bench fodder)

    OR

    B) James + KDB + Cantwell (bench fodder)

    For GW 31+ and after?

    Thoughts? BB

    Leno Ramsdale

    Stevens Baldock Lundstram Targett Lascelles

Sterling KDB Grealish El Ghazi 4.7m

    Aguero Auba Jiménez

(still deciding on that 4.7m MF)

Yeah one of these, also looking at Joe Willock as a real differential - think he’ll start one of the games

Not sure not this. You have such a mix of defenders and meds that are playing against each other. Your best outcome is 0-0 villa v shu and then shu to beat nufc to 0. Cant see it happening.

Yeah that’s a fair point, it’s more trying to cover both outcomes, would be happy with 0-0 (x2) as that’d give me 24 points before bonus for each game

Targett. More nailed. Same number of CS (0). Tiny chance of assist.

Tinkering for days but getting settled on this Bb.
    Any thoughts?

    Ederson Leno
    Basham Lund Egan TAA Lascelles
    KDB Bruno Grealish Moutinho Luiz
    Auba Kun Jimenez

Lots of cash tied up in TAA Bruno and Jimenez so they stay.

Mahrez if you can get son in next week either via a WC or FT.

Chances of any of these getting zero mins?

Considering my FH with a bench that has no chance opf playing..

    Henderson
    TAA - Baldock - Egan
    Kdb - Sterling - Grealish - Pepe
    Aguero - Auba - Nketiah

Alternative is doing Baldock ? Egan and getting a playins defence sub.
