Fantasy Football Scout Community Trials open again

The dawning of a new year brings fresh opportunities, different perspectives and, of course, a brand new FPL wildcard to tempt us! In this spirit of renewal, Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to be re-opening our Community Trials in order to discover and celebrate upcoming writing talent.

Alongside the Pro PunditsScout Network and Scout Academy, the Trials are part of our continuing mission to support the wider world of FPL content creators and expand the extent of FFS’s own coverage.

Specifically, the Community Trials offer an opportunity for budding writers to submit an article with a view to getting a paid commission, raising their profile and generally furthering their editorial career.

We ran the inaugural version of this enterprise back in the Autumn and, after much deliberation of MANY articles, ultimately picked four winners: DomWatts23GreyheadKroos Kontrol and RubberDucky.

We handed each of these writers a chance to work alongside the Fantasy Football Scout editorial team on a commissioned article that will feature in the main editorial flow. The first of these was published last week, as mindfulness coach DomWatts23 revealed his thoughts on how to balance FPL with our mental health in an unpredictable season. You can READ IT HERE.

If you fancy an opportunity to follow in their footsteps then now is the time to get your thinking cap on and start sharing your ideas.

The Community Trials window will be open for four weeks, between today and Sunday, February 7. During this period, we will monitor everything submitted, provide a little feedback here and there and then reward the best and most interesting new writers with paid commissions to contribute to the main site.

We think this is a great opportunity to test out new ideas and angles, flex your creative muscles and get attention from our editorial teams. Even if you don’t get picked first time round, don’t worry, we’ll be running more trials throughout the year.

The second Community Trials are now officially open and run through to February 7, so start submitting using this link.

As frustrating this uncertainty is, it kind of adds an extra dimension to the game, breaking the monotony, making it almost a bit fun. Anyone agree?

Not sure where I can find the fun in having 4 players wiped off a starting 11 in blank gw due to a covid postponement.
Will probably force my hand into using fh, removing any gain I had over "casuals" who plan nothing, and would have just hit fh this coming gw when they see they have 6 players.

Afternoon guys, assuming Villa game is cancelled. Do you think a -4 to field only 7 players but have the main core and the team I would want going forward beyond 19 worth holding the FH..?? 0.3m in the bank............

    Martinz/Forster.
    DIAS, STONE, MAGUIRE. Kwp, Dallas
    KDB, BRUNO, Grealish, Son, Salah
    BREWSTER, WILSON, Bamford.

Any realistic chance of the prem being put on hold before GW18 commences now?

  8. EmreCan Hustle

Wanted to save their FH or WC and field 7-10 players in BGW 18.

Have Kane, Son, Dier, Watkins and Grealish. Most most of us have between 3 and 5 from the Villa vs. Spurs game.

    What should I do now?

    A) Play the FH - load up on United and City.
    B) Stick with the initial plan - FH might be more useful later.

    Thanks.

    4. Silecro

Why not Martial? He will either start as a ST, or if Ole decides to give Cavani a rare start, Martial will be on the wing then, either way he starts the game.

For me, coming in auba was as close to a season keeper as you got.

        3 years, 3 months ago

No. With Cooper back I doubt it. May gets minutes but I wouldn't be getting him. Anyway we don't do clean sheets that often. At that price though he is a good enabler.

        1. have you seen cyan

I had a good read about Struijk on Leeds forums.
Fans like him and rate him, think he formed a good partnership already and is good with dealing with aerial threats which is a big issue for Leeds.

Some of them think Cooper won’t get back in the team, Cooper is captain though.
I got him as bench cover a couple of weeks ago, probably wouldn’t be 100% confident in him always starting though.

To all the FHers; all the best getting proper 11.

    No clue about Villa Spurs
No definite options in City apart from KDB maybe
United with only Bruno and Rashford as the definite attackers. Defense refuses to keep a CS
Rest of the games can be anything

    1. Forza

Avoid Villa and Spurs - there are plenty of other options
Stones and Sterling rested, KDB and Cancelo subbed at HT today
United have the second best CS odds

Anyone playing FH later will likely encounter similar problems anyway.

      1. I think we'll get an answer by deadline.
      2. KdB, Dias, Cancelo, Stones all nailed on and have only played half the game today.
      3. It's Burnley. I think United will keep it clean.

Agree. What I am trying to say is if you have 7 nailed on, good players in your team the difference between your team and the ones using FH might not be more than 8 to 10 points.

Without spurs( own martinez, dier, son, kane)
          Am left with
          Cancelo, Taylor
          Kdb, bruno f, saka, burke
          Dcl
Big question mark over taylor and burke, so likely 5 players!

      To all the non-FH ers

good luck getting more than 5 playing !! Would rather have FH knowing I will guarantee 11 than risk only having 4-5 playing
