    I guess with all those wingers, bailey, traore, possibly watkins, buendia will play deeper, more as a playmaker and assisting the assister

      Going off his previous prices and returns before he moved to Italy he should be priced at 10.5 max. He had declined in output already at Utd so I don’t see why time in Italy should increase his price.

    Something derived from Fantasy Football Hub rather than my own original thought. A sprinkling of Black Box but more influenced by the former.
    We have "drafts" set up early but just one premium forward blows them out of the water.
    Take 6 of your most favored picks who will get you most points over 6 weeks, regardless of cost. Use all the normal criteria such as fixtures, gametime, history, captaincy etc..
    Choose 1 Keeper, 2 Backs, 2 mids and 1 Forward. This should cover future transfer movement.
    An example for me is Martinez (5.5) TAA (7.5) Shaw (5.5) Salah (12.5) Mahrez (9) Vardy (10). Vardy being a move away from the model due to price point. Total cost (50 mil)
    Next take 4 subs with one cover player (4, 4.5, 4.5, 4.5) Total cost (17.5 mil)
    There will be 32.5 mil available to spend on your "players of the moment" There is good argument value will be found in defenders with the caveat Mids and Forwards benchwarmers will be more expensive as a first sub.
    5 players must average 6.5 mil with nothing spare in the bank. (Remember 15 defenders earned 120pts or more last season compared to 7 and 5 respectively for Mids and Forwards.
    I conclude there is a good argument for playing 4 or 5 at the back.
    My team would end up something like this.
    Martinez 4.0
    CHILWELL COUFAL DIAS Taa Shaw (Take off 17 mil from the balance)
    RAPHINA SARR Taa Mahrez 4.5 (Take off 13 mil from the balance)
    4.5 Vardy 4.5
    I will have 2.5 mill to do what I want, like upgrade Vardy to Kane or Lukaku or spend on another playing sub.

    JEEZ that was hard work.

    Lukaku only once hit 20+ goals in england. For that money I except that regulary. I hope he learned something in Italy. In any case, no brainier for easy fixtures. Never forget triple gw with him triple captain and 2 2 2 scores

      That's only if you're talking about Premier League Goals. Lukaku hit 20 or more goals a season for four consecutive seasons from 2014/15-2017/18. Three at Everton, then one at United.

      He's also had 30+ goals a season in his last two seasons, at Inter

          In terms of League Goals, Lukaku has hit 20+ goals in 3 of his last five seasons, the only two where he didn't was at United. Different style of play at Chelsea, he idolises Drogba, has developed since then, and has a point to prove.

        On pens, proven, playing up top with Watkins, buendia, Bailey all assisting him, fresh off a move so should be highly motivated, 8m price so easier move to nacho, jimi, bamford, should they do well at the start

              I have Watkins and no idea what to do. If I didnt have a packed midfield I would probably have Buendia.

              It was all so simple till this week. Transfer chaos

                I am happy with my team and mostly boiled down to ings v Watkins for me at this moment

                I don’t have a special need for the 0.5, it might just sit itb but I still think I might prefer Watkins because he is

                - nailed
                - consistent
                - seemingly resilient to injury thus far

      How is Ings obvious?

      I can see reasons not to pick Watkins playing out wide, but dont have a scooby who is getting relegated to the bench at villa.

        What I meant was the reason to go ings over Watkins are obvious assuming you will have 1 villa attacker which I do want

    Hi All,

    I have my 5-team ML draft this weekend (FPL, standard non-draft rules with cap) - i.e. no duplicate players in league but price a consideration. What would be your top 5 players? I currently have:

    1 Bruno
    2 Salah
    3 KDB
    4 Kane
    5 TAA

    (after that is probably where it gets really difficult!)

      They are all your premium picks to set up the spine of your team. I would rather settle on your 5 main choices in one draft only. The method you are using could hurt your brain going forward. Try 1 keeper 2 backs 2 mids and 1 forward and try to pick 3 of the above including TAA. Set your remaining choices around 5 players plus a keeper.
      I hope that did not confuse. You have been on this site longer than me so I have no intention of teaching "grandma to suck eggs"
