    GW1 XI:

    Sanchez
    TAA AWB Digne
    Salah Son Havertz Greenwood Buendia
    Antonio Wilson

0.5m ITB to bring in Mahrez for Havertz for GW2

What if Havertz score a goal and Mahrez blank GW1? what then? still going Havertz > Mahrez?

Will embrace Havertz’ points before embracing Mahrez’ points in GW2

Some risk he won’t be back for GW1, but looks promising over the season.

Not a bad option, I think Dias is a decent set and forget defender too as both defences were strong against any team last season. I'd still want Trent and Shaw too though.

I think I've boiled it down to this:

    A)Bruno + Barnes
    B) Mahrez + Son (Can go for a GW1 punt and get either one in GW2)

What do you guys think? Only care about the first 4 GWs really as looking to WC anywhere between GW4 and 7

A after Mahrez poor showing and 90 minutes today. Also easier to get kane without a hit

Started with Wilson last season for the first 4 games and he got returns of 8, 2, 8, 16.

If he is fit, I will probably get him in.

Is there a good indication of how long KDB is out for? My worry is that he'll be back for Norwich and Gundo will drop back into the double pivot.

It really depends on how long KDB is out for. Gundo is very advanced when De Bruyne isn't there, much deeper when he is. Mahrez we know will play in the front three.

Likely to start with a 4-4-2 and think I may go VVD over Trent. The years that Trent and Robbo really smashed it, VVD also did quite well, and the extra 1.0 is significant (could be used to upgrade Toney to a 7.5 if needed or turn 4.5 def into 5.5).

Trent is an amazing asset, and I think he will put up huge points this year. But a well selected 5.5 defender can *probably* outscore a 4.5 by 40ish points. A back to peak Jimi (say) also *probably* outscores the average 6.5 Championship golden boot winner by a similar margin. I’m not so sure Trent will outscore Virg by 40 or so.

Yes, but I won't be even touching him atm even though I'm a Finn and big fan of him. He wasn't fit or in form in Euros and now he has covid and we haven't heard anything about his recovery. He may easily have fitness issues and drop in price before fixture change.

How many points did he score against Leeds in reverse fixture (6-2), 17? How many points did he get in Southampton reverse fixture (2-3), was it 12? If he repeats that in first 2 this season, BruNo cult can delete their accounts and try again in 2022.

BruNO is perfectly viable. At the moment I have no idea who of Lukaku, Fernandes, Salah, Kane and Son is going to score the most points. If Lukaku turns out to be the man then it would be a mistake to go Fernandes.

Central to everything, he’s just the perfect fpl asset. I find it crazy there are 2 players more expensive than him, best for points for 18 months or so now

          • 9 Years
          2 years, 9 months ago

Yeh you don't need to sell him to me. I had him from the first game he played for United so I already have a bias.

I am not convinced. You're describing everything he was. This year they will be less reliant on him, they will likely get fewer pens, the points may be slightly higher but they may be substantially diluted, he may play fewer than 37 games.

He is brilliant, but I feel that he will become a kdb, inasmuch as you need him at the right time to justify his value, and no longer an essential

Love those fixtures but somewhat relieved to have that DCL + Digne money to spend elsewhere.

That gives more freedom, yes. On the other hand I thought they would my perma picks before WC, even if it was to be gw7 or later.

Out of the Villa defenders, who is the best for:

    1. Nailedness
    2. Goal threat

      Probably Mings for both

Could be wise to steer clear given Villa's defensive record towards the end of 20/21. Just sayin'.

Probably the best three opening fixtures for clean sheets, by which time we'll have enough info to see which teams are looking good to transfer them too

Same predicament myself. Still think Rafa can provide Everton with stability but based on the performance earlier it might be wise to avoid to begin with.

So now then, wise folks of FFScout, which team does rotate well with Leicester defensively? or should i just start Amartey in every game?

With Brighton and Leicester in the opening 10 weeks you get: bur, WAT, nor, bre, (LEI or bri), cry or BUR, cry, nor, bre, ARS

ah, was thinking start Amartey every week & another 4.0 fodder

        1. Gomolon
          • 9 Years
          2 years, 9 months ago

Ahh right! I think Omo, Manquillo and Duffy are the only other possible 4.0's at this point right? With Omo being the most likely to get minutes

          1. The Red Devil
            • 9 Years

yes, leaning towards omo currently, starting Amartey every week & having another 4.0 def allows me to upgrade Toney to Bamford or Wilson/Watkins (if i keep 0.5 ITB)

Tempted by this… Too light up front? Also, do we think Stones is pretty nailed?:

    Sanchez
    TAA, Stones, Shaw
    Bruno, Salah, Buendia, Raphinha, Mahrez
    Anotonio, Toney

    (Foster, Amartey, Gilmour, Manquillo)
