What to do with the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£8.1m) and the suspended Michail Antonio (£7.9m) has been a hot topic among Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers this week.

Calvert-Lewin could be missing until after the October international break, while Antonio will sit out Gameweek 5 after his dismissal last weekend.

Leeds United’s favourable fixture swing and the ongoing Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.6m) v Romelu Lukaku (£11.6m) debate have also been on the FPL agenda in the run-up to Friday’s deadline.

You’ll find plenty of advice on these sources of discussion, along with the usual help with armband conundrums and transfer dilemmas, below.

There’ll also be team reveals, Members articles and videos in this comprehensive guide to the upcoming Gameweek.

It was *fairly* obvious for anyone with half a brain to suspect it was complete bollocks - the Friday night kickoff trolls need to up their game & start targeting slightly lower owned players 😆

      https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2021/09/17/why-mane-could-be-an-explosive-fpl-differential-captain-in-gameweek-5/?hc_page=12&hc_sort_by=comment_date#hc_comment_24144617

      - He's the highest owned FPL player in the match
      - It's Friday night kickoff with a deadline approaching
      - Leeds haven't communicated anything about an injury
      - They put him all over the gameday banner that came out shortly before midday today

Nothing conclusive obviously - but if, say just for argument's sake, you mischieviously wanted to start a panic on a Friday before deadline, it would probably fit pretty well with the fact pattern above

Not totally BS. Harrison does actually have COVID as the rumour said: https://twitter.com/BenDinnery/status/1438929039398510599?s=19

The rumour also only said Raph was a doubt as opposed to being out.

The Raphinha piece is what OP & myself were referring to, Harrison was a whole ‘nother kettle of fish, and pretty irrelevant given his 2% ownership

      2. Sgt Frank Drebin
        5 years, 1 month ago

That guy was actually right on Harrison (unless it was already known earlier). Didn't say Raphinha is out, but that he's a doubt. But anyway, I'd rather recommend to ignore all the Twitter just-before-the-deadline rumors. Sometimes they will be right, bur more often probably not.

Set your watch for 11am-ish on Friday 21st October (the next Friday night kickoff)

You can almost guarantee we’ll get some sudden & vague “doubts” to surface from screenshots of “fan forums” about a highly owned FPL asset or two in that game in the run up to deadline too

Most probably, and we shouldnt pay any attention really, which doesn't change the fact that this particular guy didn't make this up.
