Chelsea v Everton team news: James starts, Cucurella benched

The evening fixture at Stamford Bridge rounds off the day’s Premier League football.

Both Chelsea and Everton come into this match buoyed by positive results in the last two Gameweeks but the Toffees haven’t won away from home since October 1.

The hosts make three changes to the side that beat Leicester City last time out.

Benoit Badiashile comes in for Marc Cucurella at centre-half, Reece James returns at right wing-back at the expense of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Christian Pulisic takes Mykhailo Mudryk‘s place in attack.

Ben Chilwell, the most-bought player of Gameweek 28 with nearly a million transfers in, starts at left wing-back.

Kai Havertz, himself transferred in by almost 350,000 managers ahead of Friday’s deadline, is again part of the three-man frontline.

Everton, unsurprisingly, are unchanged from the win over Brentford.

Moyes is just as bad, if not worse and he’s the one who’s spent loads of money. I don’t mind Dyche

Kompany should sub himself in as an extra defender. Still wouldn’t be enough though!

Chasing dgw with mediocre players tends to end up going badly

Haaland surely a c option next gw even with a single game

Is Mitoma a mediocre player? Or Rashford?

In relation to Haaland, they probably both are.

Same in GW25 with Arsenal mids

Very undecided on captaincy next week though tbh. I wouldn't entirely rule out Haaland although there's quite a few doublers on the shortlist also

I'm currently on Mitoma C with Maddison VC

Could be Rashford C/VC but those two opponents aren't leaky

It’s boring to captain Haaland, we will do it for every week remaining this season apart from 29, just captain someone else

I think there is a balance. If SGW players are in form and have the fixture then they are still options in a DGW. I remember a DGW a few years back where people totally loaded up on DGW players and Spurs assets like Dele Alli hauled. Things in the last GW could have been different if Brentford hadn't got that clean sheet.

I'll have 3 Arsenal and Haaland for DGW29.

I'm sorry but captaining Haaland against liverpool, who always give city a game and will be bang up for it, is just not viable when there are several good dgw options

    DDG / Reya
    Henry Chilwell Fofana Trips Estu
    Rashford Saka MacAlister March Maddison
    Kane Toney Watkins

I'm pretty happy with this as a bench boost apart from maybe my Brentford assets. Don't really fancy Henry and Toney a slight risk with that yellow card threat looming.

Only 1FT and a plan on bench boost. Assuming no inuries and other issues I think Henry out for a better defender is on the cards but not sure who. I have up to 5.4m to spend on that spot (keeping enough ITB for Toney to Haaland in gw20.

Shaw feels like the obvious one but i'm not so SHAW about a united defensive double up.

Without Casemiro, a United defensive double up is very risky. I wouldn't do it.

City chasing Arsenal and Liverpool defense a bit leaky. Won't be surprised if City put a few past Alisson.

City lost twice v pool, league and shield which obviously isn’t a prem game, fairly competitive opener to season, Haaland nothing in them two, pool do better v top teams than lower ones, even in the last couple seasons

Burnley keeper shirt is about 10% lighter colorwise of the outfielders shirt.
