    Hello all.

Have you had a nice international week off?

Would you care to once over my team? I can’t see any need to make transfers but I would love your thoughts on Turner over Johnstone and any benching errors.

    Turner
    Gvardiol Chilwell Gusto Udogie
    Salah Rashford Saka Maddison Mbuemo
    Haaland

    Johnstone Archer Estupinan 4.5

    Neale aka Skonto Rigga

My word what depth you have gone into.

We cant complain that we don't have enough stats. What we do with them is another though.

But my thanks for all your time this took is unending.

    Cheers

Pedro with 7 mins for Brazil under 23s.

But Brighton find a replacement for his position every other week, will he start at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon?

He's got a fair amount of travelling over 3 days.

I'd say Brazilian and Argentina and Colombian and Peruvian players could easily be benched come Saturday.

Martinelli, Jesus and even Gabriel should be okay because they don't play till Sunday.

The Fati deal is a pretty unusual one for Brighton (breaking wage structure for a loanee) so I think RDZ wants him starting as the 10 ASAP. Suppose it depends on his fitness & how much work they've got through over the IB, but I'd guess maybe one more game for Pedro before Fati gets a start...?

yep, I guess they rotate and Pedro might be viable as a first sub option but not in the starting 11.

even with injuries to Welbeck and possibly Ferguson he could be benched again against Man Utd.

        or start and score 2!!

Double Forrest defence gamble this week it is, hopefully attacking return for Aurier. Needed a punt as my templated defence was no fun

Haha yeah. Turner gets a shot from the bench anyway this week like many will do, so Aurier is the gamble. He has very good target men for the crosses he sends in so see what happens and can bench him until their next good home fixture

just sort by mins played. There's options at Luton and Burnley.

Burke has some goal threat so maybe him.

I'd get Gusto and even Henry if cash isn't an issue this season.

Thoughts on bringing in Darwin Nunez GW5. Fixtures for the next 4-5 weeks look good but are his minutes still a concern with all the options Liverpool have up front?

In a word, yes. But then I did expect Klopp to start a better presser up front against Villa. Can see the temptation but I think he still has work to do on his defensive game (given Klopp comments a few weeks back) before he becomes even remotely nailed

he's a punt but can explode off the bench but will frustrate too in equal measure no doubt.

didn't sound good for him in his match the other day.

Benching decision - let's call it a benching luxury rather than a benching headache (kudos to the poster who criticised the negativity of the latter term a few days back). Need to bench 2 of these:
    A) Wissa
    B) Diaz
    C) Trippier
    D) Estupinan
    E) Chilwell

(Porro & Digne are definitely starting in defence; Archer on the bench - so no formation rules to consider here)

    1. Surfreak
      • 14 Years

That's really tough with the exception of D due to his international travelling and opponent. Tripp on form but his fixtures look juicy.

    2. Tonyawesome69
      • 5 Years

I would start Diaz and Chilwell, bench Estupinan so between Wissa and Trippier for the last bench spot. It's tough as I think Newcastle are likely to concede and Brentford will play WBs in a 352 so I think Wissa will start up top with Mbeumo

Thanks, sounds about right. Slight concern around Diaz often being benched after IB but will keep an eye on Darwin news (i.e. if Jota is needed up top) as I would really regret benching Diaz if he starts

I think the starts are there but with the attackers Klopp has available I guess we could see early subs regardless of game state.

B and D might be anyway, but could come on...

I'd expect Estu to start Iif the physios clear him tomorrow or Friday.

Presumably he gets some rest when he lands back.

Chilwell is often hauled off around 60 mins but you've got to play him on the left wing and probably Trippier but I prefer Wissa tbh.

Tricky one... Burnley currently languishing bottom for xG but having watched their games I don't necessarily expect that to continue for long. Haven't seen them play away yet though so its possible they might setup a bit more solidly & the cup game between these 2 was tight. Forest defence looking pretty decent this season though & Palace should still be the tougher fixture, so I think Turner is probably right

Fair challenge as isn’t many. Henry isn’t a good pick and you don’t want double Villa defence. I would maybe say Regullion and Anderson from CPL. Out of your options, Botman.

Henry isn't amazing but as far as 4.5 mils go he is pretty decent. Nailed, in a pretty good Brentford defence, has some attacking upside (inconsistent though) and his fixtures after this week are pretty nice. Obviously not comparable to guys like Udogie and Cash though.

He could also be rotated with Dalot so not a good pick, at all. Neither is Gusto as will be replaced with James. Neither is Colwill as don’t expect CS and he has no attacking threat.

                    1. Harold99
                        9 months, 4 days ago

As long as Shaw and Malacia are out AWB is pretty nailed but Man Utd's defence looks shocking with Maguire and Evans so I wouldn't bother

I expect Reg to take Shaw’s spot and Dalot and AWB as rotation risks. Plus with a rubbish defence, I would go with Reg or none of them tbh

Dalot and AWB are fine to hold down the FB spots so long as they don't get injured. No reason to start a hopeless defender.

Exactly - Reguilon won't see minutes outside of the domestic cups / late subs.

AWB was absolutely a good pick as the season started and so has Gusto too.

I bet Gusto becomes season value in assists etc.

Apart from first game he has been useless and has competition from Dalot. Person is asking about now. Not start of season. So Gusto is a terrible pick as he will be soon replaced by James, unless he is injured for the season.

Richarlison after his side Brazil beat Peru 1-0, stating he needs psychological help: "On the field I’m a happy team player, I try to help as much as possible. Sometimes, things don’t go the way we want. I think this part is a bit of the off-field side that ended up getting in my way. Even though you want to do things right, it ends up going wrong. I will continue to focus on the club, the storm has passed. I went through a turbulent time in the last five months off the field. Now things are right at home. People who only had an eye on my money walked away from me. Now things will start to flow, I’m sure I’ll get a good run at Tottenham and make things happen again. That sad moment wasn’t even because I played poorly, in my opinion I didn’t play a bad game in Belém, it was more of an outburst about the things that were happening off the field, which got out of control not on my part, but on the part of people who were close to me. I’m going to go back to England, seek psychological help, from a psychologist, to work on my mind. That’s it, come back stronger. I believe I will be in the next squad, I will work for that. It’s about getting a good streak at Tottenham, this week I’m going to sit down and talk to them, I need a good streak, get the rhythm of the game and get here well."

Difficult for us to answer of course, but I don't imagine he's unavailable for selection purely through having therapy. Although its effect on his onfield confidence may keep him on the bench

I come from the older generation where such things were taboo to discuss. I am glad that has changed. However, the more people telling it as it is gets favorable news reaction and I sincerely hope some who use it as an excuse cannot play the sympathy game. It sounds harsh on my part and it is not intended to be. I sincerely hope football gets it act together and put the tools in place to remedy it. A friend of mine who played pro for Newcastle took home 15% of his pay because his family insisted he had a trust to pay into after his short career and now gets a monthly lump of money.

Ok, so I was set on WC but now not sure:

                      Turner
                      ERoyal Botman Chil
                      Son[vc] Bruno Saka Sterling Eze
                      Haaland[c] Jackson

                      Onana Henry Mubama Baldock

I still have 2.5m itb and think a hit [or 2!] this GW will be fine.

Yeah, it feels a bit sideways. The only other transfer I’d look to make would be moving Gvardiol/Chilwell on but any moves would feel sideways too.

I'm starting Henry. Think Brentford will go 3-5-2 against Newcastle away. Henry looked great in that wing back role against Spurs GW1.

                            Don’t start Henry

Good Morning Guys! Hope you are all well.

I would like your advice on the following moves. I have 2FT and have a bit of a luxury move and a potential forced move with the introduction of 2 new goalkeepers at Forest and Palace and with the fixture swing of Newcastle coming up, so wanted all of your opinions before doing so.

                      Team

                      Turner / Johnstone
                      Chilwell / Estupinan / Udogie / Kabore / Beyer
                      Rashford / Fernandes / Saka / Maddison / Nakamba
                      Watkins / Haaland / Jackson

                      A) Watkins and Nakamba - Alvarez and Diaby
                      B) Johnstone - Flekken
                      C) Kabore - Botman

Really want Maddison. Worth swapping Sterling or Foden for him?

                      RM(WC)T

                      Sanchez
                      Chilwell / Cash / Udogie
                      Salah / Maddison / Foden / Diaby / Mbuemo
                      Haaland / Alvarez

                      Areola / Estupinan / Burn / Archer

                      Any glaring issues?
                      Bench order correct?

Sanchez on a wc seems wrong.... But that's just me.

                      Thoughts on this WC team?

                      Leno
                      Chilwell / Udogie / Cash
                      Salah / Maddison / Son / Mbeumo / Saka
                      Haaland / Morris

                      Bench: Areola, Burn, Bell, Archer

Pretty good. Guessing Morris is the only (starting) forward you can afford and the DGW is a small perk

Yeah. Did have Alvarez but west ham not the easiest fixture and allows me not to destroy my defence

Hi all, Im stuck. Any advice?

                      Onana Pickford
                      Estu Chil Henry Gusto Gabriel
                      Rash Saka Mitoma Mbuemo Eze
                      Wissa Jackson Haaland

                      1FT 2.3mITB

                      A) Gab > Udogie (got cover for next couple GWs)
                      B) Onana > Ederson (set and forget gkp)
                      C) Both for -4
                      D) Wildcard
                      E) Save transfer

I quite like A, I'd avoid GK transfers so not B. You don't need to WC that team. Maybe Mitoma to Maddison or Son (if you can get there)

                      Turner
                      Estu Chilwell Udoige
                      Fernandes Mitoma Saka Foden Mbuemo
                      Haaland (C) Watkins

                      Onana Archer Henry Kabore

                      3.1m ITB 1FT

Onana is probably my most frustrating player so far but United have a good run around the corner and I usually view GK transfers as a waste so I think I'll keep him till WC.

                      Would people transfer out
                      a. Mitoma b. Foden c. other
                      to d. Maddison e.Son f. other?

                      TIA

Out of those I'd be transferring out Mitoma for Maddison or Son.

Was planning on rolling FT with the following team. Anything to change here?
                      Turner (Johnstone)
                      Chilwell, Udogie, Estu (Gusto, Botman)
                      Bruno, Foden, Mbeumo, Saka, Maddison
                      Haaland, Alvarez (Mubama)

I may play Gusto depending on presser.
I did consider Bruno to Son but then with Spurs fixtures it would likely be a direct swap back the week after. May have other more pressing moves to make at that point. Worth it or roll?

                      Cheers.

Foden is the only one there that makes me nervous with his rotation risk but City's next few games are so good it might be a good gamble to keep him till the Arsenal game
