According to fplstatistics, 3 Liverpool players could rise tonight: Salah, Kelleher and Bradley. Interesting stuff, seeing as they blank.

Kelleher and Bradley could be in a WC team considering they're cheap and only need to field XI.

Selling Jota for Garnacho but gota choose Darwin or Virgil out for a hit.

Gabriel or Saliba for Virgil? or Solanke in for Darwin (a week early maybe)

Also worth a -8 to get all 3 liverpool boys out? Solanke, Garnacho and Saliba or Gabriel in? Only fielding 9/10 players atm

    Best move pls on WC
    1. WC now because only have 8 to start gw26 (taking -4 hit)
    2. Wait for gw 29 to WC and get salah, better liv fixtures

thinking 1, as i would get an extra 10 pts, 6 from 3 starting players next gw 26 and avoid the -4 hit i am currently on for gw 26, no?

The lousy thing about wildcarding in a blank is being forced to buy players who aren't blanking and you can't really load up on the players you may want in the game weeks beyond, e.g. Salah or Son

For medium term, I really like Sensei. If you can bench in week 26 (plays MC), he has Burnley week 27 and a very nice double at home in 28. So, week 27-28 he has three good shots at a clean sheet and has offensive potential. Cheers, Malcolm

I replied in the previous thread, but not sure you saw it.

How about Foden instead of KDB?

Then you could have Neto instead of Garnacho.

You'd also have cash to either upgrade your third defender, or to get Son in for Foden down the line.

Two points .. one without any real question:

    1. At this stage, if Haaland blanks or doesn't get a brace or something, TC looks like a bad outcome of good decision with those chances missed

    2. I am becoming more and more torn about dead ending into GW29 and WC30 with FH in 34/37. I can see a minimum of 2 hits and a maximum of 6 hits in 2 weeks.... does anyone have the possible teams blanking in a graphic??
How disastrous would it make the 34/37 doubler situation if I wild carded into 34 and tried to trade and hit for 37? Would it be a similar situation hit wise do we think?

    1. Gegenpress
      • 7 Years
      5 months, 8 days ago

      1. Yeh I was all set for a bench boost but due to injuries ended up TC Haaland too!

      2. I’m looking at the same option I think FH in 37 or 34 could hold more value then FH in 29.. So I’m also thinking about using transfers and maybe 2 or 3 hits to get a team out for 29 and then WC.

I was stupidly conservative on hits and didnt take one for Rich to Saka before the gwk and may do that this week even though Rich plays in 29 - i think 8/9 players could cut it in 29 aw

Basically, I think the FA Cup semi-finalists are at risk of blanking in 34 (plus their PL opponents that week). However, there's a free midweek slot in 34 (where the doubles go), so I think semi-finalists won't necessarily blank if their fixture can be moved e.g. from Sat - Wed. But I don't know the exact determinants of whether/why it would be moved within 34 or to 37

I also bought him in for TAA but he'll be a sub defender most of the time so it really doesn't matter. It was a team structure decision to facilitate the move for Salah. Nothing wrong with that.

It is really late though. The idea being that I can use it for DG37 as well.

planning for that long is tiresome and takes the fun out of it as we have to make each and every transfer carefully. No room for emergency either.

The WC will always be there but will make it more awkward if I change strategies part way through perhaps.

All depends on the fixtures I suppose but I am not confident in making it to GW34 with my heavy bench

Most are rocking decent benches right now but if all of haaland Watkins Salah Kdb son Saka are desirable, which looks like may be the case in the run in, we will need to thin out our benches.

I think one of the best benefits of a WC is being able to restructure your bench, so if you're heavy now it would be ideal to BB before WCing so you can go lean and afford the heavy hitters

27 looks good enough as a single for me so I'm planning for then.

Yeah, I get it in that instance if you can't easily get all the big hitters. I guess I might be in an easier situation with four 4m defenders!

To early. Difficult to plan for DGW34 when we don't even know if it is going to be a double GW, or if it is who doubles. It's possible that the fixtures postponed due to the FA Cup SF's are just moved to midweek making it a SGW, with all the GW29 postponements being moved to DGW37.

I guess if that outcome were to occur you wouldn't FH34 but just WC once this info is known ready for a BB37. It would also help if hanging onto the WC beyond GW30

Wildcarding in 33 or 35 and FH29 has actually crossed my mind and is something I may end up doing. Was initially set to build a team without FH in 29 but it would mean loading up on underwhelming West Ham and Villa assets now and not attacking the current fixtures.

Not knowing the fixtures that will happen in GW34 is the difficult part in planning for it though.

Maybe we can pool resources/ideas here & try to figure out what 34 would look like? At the moment I'm not totally convinced it'll great to BB. This graphic:

        https://twitter.com/FPL_Spaceman/status/1752064318429077659

... suggests DGWs for Everton, Sheff Utd, Brighton, Palace, Wolves, Bournemouth & Chelsea.

Already a bit underwhelming, but also slightly confusing since:
        - Everton's outstanding fixture from 29 would be LIV, who are likely to make the FA Cup SF (and therefore couldn't double?)
        - Chelsea's outstanding fixture would be TOT/ars but neither of them are forecast to double. Ditto Brighton (MCI game to be rearranged).

Sheff Utd I would obviously ignore; same for Palace unless Olise back. Wolves double might be BOU ARS, and Bournemouth's wol avl - neither that great.

Maybe this graphic is way off though...?

Pick 2 out of 3 on WC

      A. Watkins
      B. Hojlund
      C. Solanke

A and C saves a transfer down the line. I like B but maybe Garnacho as an 8th attacker is enough?

Could even start Garnacho over Solanke this week

Same question. Already have Solanke, the dilemma is down to Watkins vs Hojlund for me

      Thoughts on move?

-4 for a mid or fwd depending on Darwin/Jota update?

Don’t think Burn gets any points & need to get rid when spare FT.

      Flekken
Van Heke, Saliba, Ake, Gabriel, Burn,
      Saka, KDB, Gordon
      Watkins, Haaland

      Dubravka, Palmer, Darwin, Jota

      3.7

Jota out worth a hit imo, he's injured and Salahs back

I'm in a similar position and and thinking Jota to Wolves mid (Chan or Neto) is worth a hit. Neither of your Newcastle players are likely to contribute. Gordon is great at home but only has one away return all season v shu and now travels to play the PLs meanest D.

2ft and 5.2itb. Planning on not using FH29 and WC30/31

      Ederson
      Saliba Reguilon
      Foden Garnacho Saka
      Haaland Watkins Solanke

Dubravka; Palmer*, Richarlison*, Porro*, Doughty*, Konsa*

Palmer and Konsa -> D. Luiz and Pau for free? Team is then full for bgw26.

I'm considering Kudus as well as Villa mids like DLuiz and Bailey as they have a GW29 fixture.
