Is this the best possible move?
    KDB+Saka > Salah+Son(-4)

    Turner
    Zabarnyi - Brantwaite* - Gabriel*
    Palmer - Saka* - Foden - KDB*
    Solanke - Watkins - Haaland

    Areola - Taylor - Hwang* - Doughty*

      I'm on a wildcard.
He is very tempting, and could be easily switched to Branthwaite or Tsimikas or whoever else emerges as a good option.

I'm just a bit wary of a potential Gomez and Tsmikas combo in the full-back postions.

I am on a WC and think due to lack of funds I will go Kelleher. I am booking in a transfer for BB GW37 but at least he is nailed for the next 3-4.

Thanks. That's my other option really. I'm on Petrovic for now on my WC. I've got the FH left for 34, but no BB.
Either way, I'll need to use a transfer to sell Bradley/Kelleher.

    WC30 - BB34 - No FH or Haaland YOLO

    Petrovic (Raya)
Zabarnyi | Virgil | Porro (White, Ait Nouri)
Son | Palmer | Eze | Salah (Saka)
    Solanke | Darwin | Isak

    GW31 - Roll
    GW32 - Porro > Braithwaite
    GW33 - Son > Foden

Porro/Son blank in GW34. No City? I also have WC/BB with no FH, and tempted to WC this week so I can get Salah in, but I plan to keep Haaland/Foden until the end of the season, and use the WC in 35.

        Rp from old art

        Replace Bowen with:

        A: Salah
        B: Palmer

        Or

        C: Bowen + Saka -> Salah + Palmer (-4)

Really looking forward to the newly launched FPL Challenge.

Great to have deadlines that allow us to see team sheets (apart from perhaps one game scheduled last in the GW) before finalising our squads. So called ‘loopholes’ have already been discovered. Don’t see them as loopholes myself. The rules have been written in such a way that allow us to maximise our points if we are shrewd enough. Judgement and to some extent luck is still required in order to benefit.

Features such as Unlimited Budget (GW30) & Forward Focus (GW31) bring much needed variety and require a different strategy to the main game. I wonder if any of these will be adopted for FPL 24/25 season?

With no cumulative scoring involved this game allows us the freedom of risk taking without the worry of long term rank damage. Yes this new idea has its critics, but for me it’s a breath of fresh air which provides renewed interest for those of us ‘already on the beach’.

Finally, thank you to all those who have already joined my league called Challenge Charlie for which the code is shown below. Still room for more!

Can’t summon the enthusiasm tbh. If it becomes a 38 week league challenge then yes weekly variety will be good. As it stands limited interest currently

Guess FPL will judge this on how many play the game during weeks 30 - 38. Then make decision on a renewal for next season.

I think there is a market out there for a weekly/daily fantasy challenge as already exists in some other sports around the world. Guess this venture could be the fantasy football equivalent of T20 cricket. Perhaps then there is room for two types of FPL?

New ideas often meet with opposition before becoming part of the fabric. Time as ever will tell with this one.

Opposition isn’t the correct phrase. Indifference really. I want to be interested but I’m just not. Weekly prizes will be swallowed up by bots not people so why bother. If it becomes season long FH teams then probably it has legs

Need a defender this week and I'm looking at Bradley or VVD to come in.

With Bradley I can do Watkins to Darwin next week ( plus Son to Salah) and with VVD I need to sell Watkins to Cunha (or Foden to Sarabia).
Will most likely need to sell Bradley in 34 for VVD for a hit if I get him in now but do you think getting Darwin in over Cunha makes up for that -4 in the next three weeks?

        Dubravka
        Saliba Gabriel Doughty
        Foden Gordon Palmer Son
        Watkins Haaland Solanke

Attacking returns for defenders doesn't dictate who Arteta picks in the team. It's all about setup against each opponent. Kiwior provides different attributes to Zinchenko

Hello anyone with opinions on which of gw 34 or 37 is better for BB when considered in isolation and assuming Ben Crellin is right with his fixtures? Reasons why appreciated

I don't think you can decide individual GWs in isolation for BB as it impacts your team around those GWs

In isolation 34 imo. But only if you can WC 35. For me with 3x Spurs and 2x Che 34 wouldn't maje sense. But for those with 3x Bou etc. it's a different story. 100% team dependant. Of course some teams are exceptions.

Thank you, I was alluding to the set of best fixtures per gw tbh. I've had to use my WC this GW and am currently inclined to BB 34 and then build up my Spurs, but will onload some Chelsea assets now as fixtures good.

        How's this WC team looking?
I will FH in 34. No BB left, so preparing for the doubles in 35/36 and 37.

        Petrovic, Dubravka
        Gabriel, Udogie, Gusto, Bradley, Lascelles
        Havertz, Salah, Son, Foden, Palmer
        Haaland, Isak, Muniz
(3.0 itb to get Darwin in for Muniz in 31 if he's fit)

Can I do better than Bradley and Lascelles for cheap defenders?
Is Havertz too punty, without Saka?
Is Dubravka even going to be playing when I need him?

        Any ideas???

With no BB left, do you need to risk it with Dubravka and the hassle with rotating GKs? You could just go with Areola.

Although with Petrovic, I would only really need my other keeper to play in 31 and 35. And Areola has Spurs and Liverpool those weeks, whereas Dubravka (if he plays) has Everton and Sheff Utd.

Man Utd is one of the best fixtures for GKs this season:
                https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2024/02/22/which-teams-do-fpl-goalkeepers-perform-best-against/

Fellow countryman, I personally like A more long term, because FH34 allows to have B that time.

True. But slightly feel like Darwin is a rotation list where as Solanke is nailed and on pens. Also like Ait-Nouri more than Van Hecke. Mutta jep onneks on vielä aikaa miettiä

        Best combo for gw 30:

        A. Ait-Nouri Salah Son (c) -4
        B. Ait-Nouri Son Salah (c) -4
        C. Porro Foden Son (c) (no hit)

        Thanks.

Would like to bring Salah in. Would mean a -4 with the below transfers. What do you think?

        A. Watkins > Mubama
        B. Martinelli > Sala

        Current Team

        Dubravka
        Gabriel / Konsa / Porro
        Palmer / Son / Martinelli / Saka / Foden
        Watkins / Haaland

        Areola | Solanke | Branthwaite | Kerkez

        Thanks

            Do you mean Mubama?

Don't have the cash to upgrade him until I get rid of Porro in a few weeks time.

You need at least Muniz imo. Or -8

I don't think Watkins + 4 pts is better than having Salah, but you may need another transfer next week, so I am not against it either.

        Really unsure what to do.

Only have BB and WC left.

        Areola - Dubravka
        Gabriel - Saliba - Porro - Udogie - Zab
        Palmer - Saka - Salah - Tavernier - Barkley

        Haaland Watkins Solanke

        Used FT for Salah.

I guess build a BB34 team and wildcard 35? 2 spurs and palmer a headache. Going to have to go without son Vs Luton too

Yes build for GW34 but probably better to use WC in 35/36 to set up GW37 BB given that you've got both Spurs to get rid of before GW34, nether keepers doubles in GW34, and you have 4 other SGWers.

Best GK combo up to 8.4 on WC, on BB34? Kelleher and Henerson? Alisson will ruin my plans I feel, and not much trust in Henderson...

        Dubravka
        Porro, Gabriel, Zabarnyi
        Gordon, Foden, Palmer, Son (c)
        Watkins, Haaland, Solanke

        Areola, Saka, Saliba, Taylor

        1ft 3.4itb

Planning to roll and use 2ft to bring Salah back next week.

Is this GTG or would you make any other moves?

Would you roll transfer with the below team, or bring in Salah for -4?

Also is bench players correct do you think?

        Dubravka
        Kerkez / Konsa / Porro
        Palmer / Son / Martinelli / Saka
        Watkins / Haaland / Solanke

        Areola | Foden | Branthwaite | Gabriel

        Thanks

I considered that, but Spurs have some nice fixtures coming up.
