Fantasy Football Scout are giving you another opportunity to ask questions of our esteemed panel of FPL personalities, this time ahead of Gameweek 3.

If you are stuck on a particular issue and want some external input then this is your chance to get the feedback you need.

We’ve assembled another panel of three Fantasy managers this week and will be bringing you a different set for each Gameweek over the course of the season.

    Last year, I learned that it’s best to pick one or more City players and just stick with them.

    With the additions to the squad plus guys like Laporte and Bernardo bedded in, the risk of rotation week to week will be much higher this year, but particularly in the early weeks as Pep tries to protect those who had deep WC runs.

    I’m beginning to wonder whether it will be possible to own more than two City assets if there is this much rotation. Three is just too risky for me until the picture is more clear, particularly because if you have 3 plus 2-3 Pool, you likely have a weak bench and could get killed by rotation. Doubtful that the hauls when your assets are playing will more than balance that out

    FPL is hard enough without these extra sleepless nights pep gives. I was starting to thing sterling the only Man City safe bet!

      It was the same last year. I tended to avoif and got bitten frequently. Though went for about 5 City attackers in my Draft team and won comfortably. If there are not better options, City attackers can still get high PPMs and you can simply utilise the bench players in case of emergency. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. You just hve to know and remember that there's a higher then usual probability that your player doesn't start. 🙂

    I'd happily keep Mahrez if I didn't need to find a way to fund Alonso. Maybe I'll sell Bilva instead to avoid his benching next week. Looking forward to seeing Mahrez off the bench later, though I wouldn't mind him staying there so I get Hughes' haul from first sub.

      Gotta treat it case by case, player by player. For Mahrez and Sterling, I think it's more of a "don't sell" situation rather than a "buy now" situation, but I'm tempted to sell Mahrez for the finds anyway, and if others are looking for a perfect 9m fit in their team on a FT, then I suppose I could envision buying him too! In conclusion, there's no "should" or "shouldn't" which can be generalised to players playing or benched imo.

          Well we held them to 2 goalless draws in the FA Cup last season but realistically I can see them beating us 2 or 3 nil tbf....they are just too good!!

          Does your backup GK play? If so, rotate next week and then Pat back in. He will score a lot of save points for sure!

      Between B & C for me. Hate to use transfers on GK positions. Even though King has been crap, Moura to Mkhi might be the better odds for scoring points next week since Spurs are at United, Arsenal are at home facing West Ham’s leaky defense, and King is also at home facing Everton’s poor backline against which he has a good history. Granted, if you go this route, you are accepting a price drop on King.

    Well done kun owners and captainers. Must say I didn't see the mahrez benching coming. Not sure who will be on set pieces now. Not sure there's too much to worry about for those of us with mahrez, sterling or even sane. It'll only be one or two by 65 mins when 2/3 come on against tired Huddersfield.

    I doubt Bilva will play RWB today. Pep knows Huddersfield will sit really deep...

    Mendy will drop into a back 4 when they attack occasionally but other than that he knows he can have more attacking players on because those attacks aren't of much concern to him as getting through the parked bus

      Playing at RWB for city doesn't mean anything. He'll get forward at will. The opposition won't have enough ball for him track back and tackle.
