Pressure on Salah captainers as Lovren returns on Liverpool bench

All eyes turn to Anfield today as Liverpool host Burnley in the noon kick-off.

There will significant attention on Gameweek 30’s most-captained player Mohamed Salah (£13.4m), who has blanked five times in his last six Premier League outings.

With armband rival Sergio Aguero (£11.9m) registering just an assist for Manchester City on Saturday, there is an opportunity for the Egyptian to help his backers make up some ground.

They will be hoping for something like Raheem Sterling‘s (£11.4m) hat-trick against Watford, which has already set the bar for success in Gameweek 30 very high.

Salah will today operate alongside usual attacking colleagues Sadio Mané (£9.8m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.2m).

Adam Lallana (£6.9m) comes into central midfield for a first start since Gameweek 25 to sit between Fabinho (£5.5m) and Georginio Wijnaldum (£5.5m).

Virgil van Dijk (£6.6m) and Joel Matip (£4.9m) are once again the central defensive pairing but there is a welcome return on the bench for Dejan Lovren (£4.9m).

Meanwhile, as expected, it’s Andrew Robertson (£6.9m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.5m) at full-back.

Burnley have rolled out the usual 4-4-2 formation with the in-form Ashley Barnes (£5.7m) and Chris Wood (£6.2m) hoping to stop Liverpool earning an 18th clean sheet of the season.

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Burnley XI: Heaton; Taylor, Mee, Tarkowski, Bardsley; McNeil, Westwood, Cork, Hendrick; Wood, Barnes.

      Who's your front 3?

      I have Vardy, Jimi and Arnie.

      If I could have my time again I wish I hadn't grabbed Arnie 4 weeks back.

      The ideal front 3 this GW is Vardy, Wilson, Higuain IMO. But if Arnie starts then who knows.

      Wilson has Newcastle and Burnley at home and better fixtures to end of the season. Have a feeling Vardy is going to have a great end to the season though with Tielemans and Rodgers there

      I've just had a long hard look at the stats.

      Goal threat very similar. Although Vardy does better away than Wilson at home.

      But Wilson has much more assist potential.

      Although Vardy has pens and is Rodgers main man.

      My conclusion? There's not enough between them. Go Wilson and pocket the saving.

          The extra £3m odd might come in handy when you use your free transfer in 33, though. Could give almost anyone a major upgrade.

    A salah brace minimum hopefully for me as a capper after Sterlings heroics, that Sterling hatty completely deflated my good start, with Rondon and Vardy, atleast this is last GW without City assets

      It's tough, especially with ongoing uncertainty about HOW blank 33 will be and the extent of DGWs....

      I'm currently thinking FH 32 WC 34 with a decision about BB and TC based on whether there is a 3rd DGW...I think there will be.
