Sane joins Sterling and Aguero in the City attack at Turf Moor

The penultimate match of Gameweek 36 takes place at Turf Moor as Manchester City aim to extend their 11-match winning run and return to the top of the Premier League table.

Kick-off in Lancashire is at 14:05 BST.

There are no huge shocks in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI, with Fernandinho not recovering from the knee problem he picked up in midweek.

Bernardo Silva has thus dropped back into central midfield alongside David Silva and anchor Ilkay Gundogan, so Leroy Sane is handed a start on the left flank.

Raheem Sterling moves over to the right wing, with Sergio Aguero leading the line once more.

City’s back four is unchanged.

Sean Dyche has named the same starting XI for the fourth game in succession, with Phil Bardsley still not having recovered from a gashed leg.

The Burnley manager has resisted the urge to pack his midfield and defence for the visit of the reigning champions, pairing Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes in attack for the 17th league match in a row.

Outside of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, Aguero and Sterling were the two most-popular Triple Captain choices of Gameweek 36: 14,542 managers backed the Argetinean striker, with 8,997 deploying the chip on Sterling.

Bernardo was the second-most-bought FPL player of Gameweek 36, having been transferred in by 146,541 Fantasy bosses.

Aguero and Aymeric Laporte were also bought by over 100,000 FPL managers this week.

Burnley XI: Heaton, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor, Hendrick, Cork, Westwood, McNeil, Wood, Barnes.

Subs: Hart, Gudmundsson, Gibson, Ward, Vydra, Long, Driscoll-Glennon.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Bernardo, Silva, Sterling, Sane, Aguero.

Subs: Muric, Danilo, Stones, Mahrez, Otamendi, Jesus, Foden.

Disagree. Being defensive, long ball etc are perfectly legitimate tactics.

But the time wasting and deliberate fouling needs to be more harshly punished by refs IMO.
