Jota benched as Robertson returns to Liverpool XI

A mouth-watering clash at Anfield sees Liverpool take on Chelsea in the Saturday evening kick-off.

The action on Merseyside gets underway at 17:30 BST.

Jurgen Klopp has decided to make three changes to the Reds side that beat Burnley at Anfield last weekend, two of which are significant from a Fantasy perspective.

Kostas Tsimikas (£4.2m) and Diogo Jota (£7.6m) are both benched as the fit-again Andrew Robertson (£7.0m) and Roberto Firmino (£8.9m) are recalled to the starting XI.

Klopp’s other alteration sees Fabinho (£5.4m), back after missing Gameweek 2 for personal reasons, come in for Naby Keita (£5.0m) in midfield.

Teenager Harvey Elliott (£5.5m) keeps his place in the centre of the park.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has kept things simple, making just one, predictable adjustment after the 2-0 away win over Arsenal last Sunday.

That change sees N’Golo Kante (£4.9m) come into the midfield for Mateo Kovacic (£5.0m).

Marcos Alonso (£5.6m) once again starts at left wing-back, with Ben Chilwell (£5.8m) still without any game-time since May.

Romelu Lukaku (£11.5m), transferred in by over half a million Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers ahead of the Gameweek 3 deadline, is again flanked by Mason Mount (£7.5m) and Kai Havertz (£8.3m) in the Chelsea attack.

The sale of Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) was perhaps used to free up funds for the Belgian for many Fantasy bosses, with the Egyptian the most transferred-out midfielder of this Gameweek.

He is still the third-most captained player of the round, however, with just under one million of us handing him the armband.

Liverpool Xl: Alisson, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Firmino, Mane, Salah, Henderson, Robertson, Matip, Alexander-Arnold, Elliot.

      Salah is staying in my team all season. I may or may not sell Jota. I would like him to play at least 1 or 2 of those three after the IB. If Firmino has to isolate, which is looking unlikely at the moment because the clubs are blocking their players going, then he will play all three. Otherwise, I have a decision to make over the break.

        It’s different when the ball deflects on to you than you reaching out to save it though. That’s why there is ball to hand v handball.

    Ref spent 2 seconds at the monitor and only saw a still of the ball hitting James' hand, imo that 100% made him give a red. Should have shown the whole incident.

        I imagine VAR recommended the pen, but the red was mainly down to the ref; isn't a red imo, arm was in a natural position, it had to swing forward as James was off balance. Obviously a pen.

      the whole incident wouldnt change the fact that the ball was blocked from going in to the net by an arm, which is a foul and red due to blocking a clear goal opportunity. pretty clear cut

      It happened all very quickly, probably an unconscious reaction to try and get it away from him arm/the goal. Slow motion makes it seem like he'd have been thinking about it longer.

      Wasn’t one of those situations where the ball comes of another body part and deflects onto the arm/hand. Clear second movement to try and keep the ball flicking off his thigh into the goal.

      Rules need to change to stop that being a red though.

          Yeah - those fixtures are appealing, but until he's scoring again I'm more partial to Bamford. Also incredibly sad there's no real Arsenal player to choose given how their next 17 fixtures play out.
