I don’t expect either to keep a clean sheet and since you are playing schar I’d probably go with Ramsdale just.
      I’d captain Salah over Mount.

Lose Raphinha. Leeds aren't as good an attacking team as Tottenham & have players that finish assists. Kulusevski has better fixtures & is cheaper so it will free up slightly more funds. Also offers some Tottenham cover if you don't have Son / Kane.

    Brave or stupid?

Jota + Laporte over TAA + Kulusevski

I was set on Jota this week on FH and at first I felt his benching would cement it, but considering Diaz's performance (and performances of late) and Mane now in that central role I'm actually not completely sure Jota will come right in. Laporte should be a good shout, especially with City's injuries in defence he should be as nailed as ever.

i dont know why people keep saying that. Klopp rested our best attackers vs everton a couple of seasons ago and they are much weaker now than they were then

Hmm maybe... saw someone post recently about Trent's bonus pts dropping off recently - is that something you picked up on too? Starting to appreciate what you can do with no Trent now that I'm doing the community team & paying the full 8.4. Feeling pretty bullish on Jota atm

I have to pay full price for TAA too and that's what's bothering me a bit.

Going TAA > Laporte is very tempting. Especially since Laporte is more nailed than TAA for this weekend.

Just can't see Jota getting the minutes long-term. I'd love to love him.

Maybe I'm being a tad optimistic, but I feel like there's a good chance Klopp continues the pattern of Diaz in midweek/UCL games, Jota for PL. With Firmino out the rotation of 4 players into 3 spots should give all of them pretty decent mins anyway

TAA & Kulusevski for me. Going without TAA isn't an enjoyable watch. Jota is a rotation risk with 5 players competing for 3 positions & Liverpool equal interest in both PL & CL with the FA cup final to come.
Kulusevski seems nailed & with good fixtures.

Your team defensive / attacking cover is a factor. Do you have other Liverpool or City DF's?

Also who is your first sub if Jota doesn't play?

    Good to go?

    Ramsdale
    JAMES, ALONSO, Cancelo, Robbo
    MOUNT(c), Salah, Coutinho, Kulu
    Kane, Pukki

    Foster, Martinelli, Broja, Ait-Nouri
    Bank 0.0m, 0FT, BB/FH left (36/37)

I'm just finalising my picks for the community team & starting to see a few comments around who may or may not be rested this weekend. TBH I'm not that great at these predictions & dont have any kind of twitter network /ITKs, so would appreciate some collective wisdom on Liverpool rest candidates, especially since I dont have the luxury of subs. Anyone you'd avoid out of the following..?

    Trent, Robbo, Matip, Jota, Mané

For one week, I'd punt on Jota since he had his rest and seems to have played well after he came on. I can't see the scout picks risking him. Are you going without Salah? If you're looking to fall the right side of random one-gameweek variance you probably need to go without and spread the funds.

I'm leaving out Salah, hoping that he's earned his way back into the scout picks. Currently on Trent, Jota, Mané

If I were you, I would go all in and punt on Robbo over TAA.

Been back & forth on that. But mainly swayed by Everton's weaker looking left side (in FFS predicted lineups) with Mykolenko & Iwobi (instead of Coleman & Allan)

          I'd go Diaz over Jota.

Mane if you don't fancy Salah.

And I reckon VVD could score a header so he may be a better budget pick. Or TAA or Robbo depending on how you play into Manchester City.

I think Sterling is the guy to go for with Manchester City rotation btw.

All budget busters but you've got Palace to fall back on and Pukki too.

I think Matip should be fine, had a rest v City in the cup. Likewise Robbo had a rest v Benfica last week. TAA also did in the same match so I think they'll both be fine but perhaps I'm wrong.

Mane seems to be playing now in the CF role and is doing well and again, he had a rest v Benfica. Jota is the only one I'm unsure of despite having a rest against ManUtd. I was sure it was a good thing initially and expected it and thought he was the PL man but I'm honestly not sure now due to the form of Diaz.

Thank you all. Jota/Diaz looks like it might go right to the wire...
Think I'm going to play safe City-wise with Cancelo & KDB. Sterling is tempting but could easily see Jesus (not so tempting) starting ahead of him

      1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
        • 3 Years

If it helps I don't think Jesus has started on the left for a very long time, maybe not even at all this season. I'd expect Jesus starts and Mahrez is rested, it's probably more likely a question of what mix there will be of Sterling/Grealish/Foden. Could be just one, could be two of them (possibly even 3)

Yeah, I was thinking Jesus on the right, Foden/Grealish left/centre. Or one of Bernardo/Gundogan could get pushed forward too, as Pep seems to like playing both of them with KDB atm. I'm totally set on KDB, so Sterling is prob too expensive to punt on with no bench

True that's fair, he definitely ties up too much money if there's a doubt. Best of luck whichever way you go this week!

I think Sterling could be the best pick this weekend.

Diaz is 0.4m cheaper than Jota.

VVD saves you 1.6m on TAA.

I'd avoid Brighton at home too.

Anyone considering using last FH this week? A lot of same teams have double gw 36 and 37, so navigating them without FH could be worth considering? Depends on team structure of course.

Would no TAA, Havertz and Salah be too much in that draft?

    Schm

    Mane/KDB/Son/Mount/Saka

Of course, especially considering the damage that Everton did to a few players last season. Could still do plenty of damage though.
