Who are the best FPL captain options for Double Gameweek 36?

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are advised to target assets who play twice in Double Gameweek 36 when looking for their next captain.

Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£11.9m) have emerged as the two outstanding candidates, but are there any outsiders who are perhaps being overlooked?

First, we will assess the fallout of the captain poll, before then analysing the best options, Rate My Team (RMT) and the Premier Fantasy Tools ratings ahead of Saturday’s 13:30 BST deadline.

THE CAPTAIN POLL

As expected, Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne are leading the captaincy poll ahead of Double Gameweek 36.

So far, Liverpool’s Salah has been handed 50.17% of total votes by our users. Second-place De Bruyne, meanwhile, has received 18.56% of votes ahead of his double-header against Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The top four is closed by two familiar names: Son Heung-min (£11.0m) and Reece James (£6.4m), with 6.03% and 3.19% respectively.

        Tired Leicester and a shocking Everton side at home - only issue is that Watford themselves aren't exactly the best.
        Only other option is Nketiah really and would need an extra hit as already maxed on Arsenal

          I would be pretty confident he blanks v Palace (A), and I'm more wary of Everton now that they've tightened up substantially in the last 2 games

          What if Broja returns? I know that he probably will not but would guess the probability is almost the same as a Watford forward has in single fixture.

          To be honest, I find estimating GK pts in bad fixtures one of the toughest aspects of FPL still, but I took a -4 for Dubravka to Schmeichel. 7pts v Liverpool was great, but is it too optimistic to expect something similar v City (A)? Maybe more likely 0/1pt?

          Its just frustrating, had left cash itb for sterling to son last week, but thought I'd be smart, save the ft and bring in kdb now.

          Think I'd play Watkins and Cash ahead of Guhei and KDH this week, and maybe for that reason 36 is better - you've got six games on that bench rather than three in 37

    Is it me or have these articles started holding back a little more in the last couple of weeks? Usually the pick is very confident but last week I think it was pretty hesitant and this week it's another two man choice. No harm as people have to make their own decisions but just wondering if this is a deliberate change of tact.

      Incredible team, James to Alonso if you're feeling a bit punty but I wouldn't recommend it.

      Probably look to off White and set up for a GW38 team? If players are rotated your bench would be important
