I'm looking for 1 week punt, either defender (5.4) or striker (8.9).
Currently on Jenkinson and Jovetic, any other suggestions?

So, are people WC straight away to grab some value or...

Wishing until Aguero is back ?

    I'm unsure.

I may go straight away, and keep some cash in the bank for Kun or get a RVP place holder in there 😉

I haven't seen any avalanches this season. Didn't someone say early in the season that wildcard transfers didn't count towards price changes, I rememeber that in first few GWs

What is happening to David Silva's market price can certainly be considered as an avalanche I guess.

That is true according to the FISO CTC 2014 Forum.

There will be a large increase in the number of transfers, but it probably won't be long before we start getting complaints from the early wild-carders about the lack of price changes.

Probably GW23 here because of the fixture turns for a few teams and Aguero should be close to back by then (or even have a few games under his belt according to Stupendous!).

I'm doing it GW 22, all my defenders have to play against each other and I've got 3 Villa players (Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea ....). Just sticking with Costa and 1 mil itb so I can use a FT to get Aguero in when I need him

I aim to leave it as long as possible...usually happens around with one week to go. I find that with new players/managers/change in fixtures its best to leave it, unless of course you emerge from December with a dog's dinner of a team - which mine is gradually looking like.

There are arguments for an against. Common argument is late as possible, for which there are definite advantages.

An early one shouldn't be ruled out, particularly if your current team isn't great. You could easily miss out on 3 or so gameweeks decent scoring by holding on. For me its always a mix including current form players/teams and fixtures and the current state of my team.

This basically replicates last January's wildcard doesn't it? Everyone holding on until the last possible minute to try and shoehorn Aguero back in.

Undecided. Will definitely keep cash for Aguero (unless I keep RVP) and have the transfer planned. I'll see how the price volatility looks. If there is money to be made then I will go early. If not will hold it as long as possible or until I actually need it. The option to see tranfsfers, injuries, potential postponements and a couple of FA cup rounds is worth a lot.

Whenever it is played everyone should make the transfers before activating wildcard, in case wildcard transfers don't count towards price change.
If everybody played there WC at the last point they can rely on themselves to play it without missing the deadline then the price rises will be maximised!

Definitely eyeing up a United defender (Shaw) and attacker in that GW.

Not sure who though. Don't like Rooney long term at CM. RVP expensive but could be an Aguero placeholder.

I got on him early and kept Siggy so I have 3 big hitters plus it it allows me to have 3 good strikers and a solid backline. When I get the WC'd then I will consider a re-jig as the fixtures toughen up but I might end up keeping him again as it will get me Aguero and Costa if I go for them both again

      Guzan
      Baines, Zabaleta, Clichy, Hutton
      Downing, Hazard, Sanchez, Silva
      RVP, Austin

McCarthy, Kane, Azpi, Boyd 2.4 itb.

Boyd > Siggy for -4? And play Siggy over Clichy or Hutton?
      Or gtg

Clichy may not play. Siggy will. Doubling up on Villa is a slight risk I think.

Have you seen their fixtures from GW23 until the end? Only 2 bad ones, and one is in GW38.

double up for good fixture, or pick one for a bad one..... It's 50/50.

Bertrand for his goals are nice - Clyne for BAPS is nice

Yes. I was going to do Clyne > Terry to have a solid backline - but don't want to take a hit.

Best Bony replacement for 8.3m or less?

    A) Jovetic - Punty, hasn't started much, good fixtures
    B) Benteke - Villa don't score, but has good fixtures
    C) Carroll - Poor record, but good fixtures
    D) Kane - Chelsea next... but scores most of Tottenham's goals
    E) Other?

    Thoughts appreciated...

This formatting thing of potential transfers I really don't get. Maybe I'm being dull. That says to me that you want to go FROM Siggy to Sterling or is it meant to read Siggy is greater than Sterling so I'm going to Siggy? Why don't people just put 'Sterling to Siggy' . I'm a pedant I know.

Guys I can do Siggy to Silva
    and
Falcao to Benteke ..... Leaving me with

    Fabianski
    Zabaleta Dummet Chambers
    Silva Cesc Hazard Sanchez
    Austin Costa Benteke

    McCarthy Wisdom Boyd Moore

    Good moves or bad ?

People round here don't like Benteke, I favour him though. Can see him getting a haul sooner or later - just going to be one of those matches.

Siggy I like and I'm keeping for the season I think, but for Silva It gives you a really nice midfield.

Note though: I don't like chambers, and Zaba is at risk of rotation. (I have zaba too fwiw)

Jonty made a very good point about WC's only use it if your tesa,m is a mess or there is a big fixture swing otherwise you end up regretting it
