Christian Eriksen remains sidelined for Tottenham’s home clash with Everton. Arsene Wenger has central defensive concerns ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Newcastle, Diafra Sakho is expected to overcome a groin problem for the Hammers, whilst Palace receive mixed injury news in midfield ahead of their visit to the Bridge.
Arsene Wenger could be without both his first choice centre-backs once again at Newcastle this weekend. Per Mertesacker is still sick, while Laurent Koscielny will be assessed later today – the former is less likely to be fit, according to the Gunners boss. Danny Welbeck is progressing well following his knee injury and could return after the international break.
Diafra Sakho looks likely to overcome a groin problem in time to face Liverpool, according to Slaven Bilic. Elsewhere, Kevin Nolan has left the Hammers by mutual consent.
Brendan Galloway remains a doubt for Everton after being forced off with a knee problem last weekend. Roberto Martinez has also confirmed that John Stones “will be ready” to face Spurs, despite Chelsea’s ongoing interest.
Mile Jedinak suffered a hamstring injury in the midweek Capital one Cup clash, and will be out of action for two to three weeks, suggests Alan Pardew. Meanwhile Pardew has revealed that Yannick Bolasie will return to the Palace squad this weekend, following the death of his father last week. Connor Wickham could return from a rib injury, though Julian Speroni remains out and is expected to return to full training next week.
Watford have no fresh injury worries but will be without summer signing Miguel Britos, who is set to serve a three-match ban for violent conduct after being sent off in the Capital One Cup earlier this week.
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Christian Eriksen remains sidelined with a knee injury. Andros Townsend is back in training however, and could be available. Pochettino has also admitted it’s unlikely that he’ll start new boy Clinton Njie due to fitness reasons, whilst the Spurs boss confirmed that Danny Rose – who has yet to start a league match – is now fully fit after sustaining a problem against Real Madrid during pre-season.
Norwich boss Alex Neil has stated that the club have suspended forward Lewis Grabban until next Tuesday, due to disciplinary reasons. Martin Olsson is expected to step up his recovery with a run out for the U21’s today.
Sadio Mane looks set to be available for Southampton’s clash with Norwich. The Senegal international recovered from a hip injury sustained at the weekend and was an unused sub in last night’s Europa League loss to FC Midtylland.
