Saturday’s curtain-closer finds Chelsea playing host to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are growing in confidence following a dreadful start to the campaign, with two clean sheets under their belt in as many fixtures. The Cherries, meanwhile, have finally discovered their scoring touch, netting five goals in their previous two match-ups.
Chelsea occupy the middle of the pack with regards to attempts (53), shots inside the box (30), big chances (four) and shots on target (14) over the last four Gameweeks. No team racked up fewer goals (two) during that time frame, though, engendering the worst shot-conversion rate (3.8%). On a more positive note, the Blues rank bottom for big chances conceded (one) and third-bottom for shots inside the box conceded (21) since Gameweek 11.
Bournemouth lead the field in terms of attempts (71) over the last four Gameweeks, having mustered nine more efforts at goal than Liverpool and Spurs. Additionally, the south-coast outfit have crafted the second-most shots inside the box (41) and the most key passes (55) across that stretch. There’s still vast room for improvement at the other end of the pitch: Villa (10) were the only team to concede more goals than the Cherries (eight) in their previous quartet of fixtures.
