Double Gameweek 33 Confirmed for Palace and Everton

The Premier League have this afternoon confirmed a new date for Crystal Palace’s home clash with Everton. The pair will now go head-to-head at Selhurst Park on Wednesday April 13, meaning they will play twice in Gameweek 33.

Palace will host Norwich prior to the Toffees’ visit, whilst Roberto Martinez’ men also face a trip to Watford beforehand.

Both clubs now face back-to-back double Gameweeks in 33 and 34 before being handed a blank the following weekend due to their FA Cup semi-final date.

Everton also have to play twice in Gameweek 37 (lei &sun), handing them a trio of doubles in the final seven rounds of fixtures. Although just one of those six matches across their doubles is at Goodison, investment in Romelu Lukaku is set to intensify – nine of the Belgian’s 18 league goals this season have arrived on the road. The likes of Ross Barkley and Aaron Lennon will also hold extra appeal in light of the announcement.

Interest in Palace’s prospects will also be on the up, though they then face back-to-back trips to Arsenal and United in double Gameweek 34 prior to their blank. Furthermore, the Eagles have scored just 16 times in front of their own fans – only three sides have netted less – and have lost six on the bounce at Selhurst Park.

The confirmation perhaps adds a little more weight to the idea of wildcarding in Gameweek 33 now as we look to take advantage of both clubs’ schedules. With many still holding Bench Boost and Triple Captain Chips, today’s news just made things a little more interesting.

These chips are annoying me. 30 point lead in my ML but we all have the chips left and seems like without them I can win far more easier than now with the randomness of what's about to happen.

3 DGWs, TCs, bench boosting 15 DGWers potentially... random alright!

hmm....not sure its random to me.

random would be like, if you had to click a button that put your TC on any of your players.....

Of course it's much more random than if the chips did not exist. WC by their very nature are a proper shake up.

sure, but its not random is it? its relative to the players design and choices. I mean, its no more random than FPL in general.

"Random : proceeding, made, or occurring without definite aim, reason, or pattern:"

sorry, just the pedant in me.

Great for those with a wildcard IMO.

Don't think I'll have any Palace.
Mainly means more Everton compared to before and GW35 = a hit or 2 for 11 perhaps.

This announcement doesn't change things much for me. I sort of like it.

How does this look to everyone:

      GW33 Wildcard:

      Robles - Elliot
      Dann - Coleman - Bellerin - Sakho - Simpson
      Bolasie - Sanchez - Ozil - Payet - Firmino/Coutinho
      Aguero - Lukaku - Deeney

GW 34 transfers: Dann to Rojo, Bolasie to Firmino/Coutinho

GW 35 transers: Lukaku to Kane, Coleman to PVA

Yes. I don't want to go without Kane for any longer than I need to. If Costa is somehow firing more than Kane going into GW36, I can consider swapping.

To get more DGW players in 37 I'll still have the two free transfers in 36 and 37, so I can bring back Lukaku or bring in Cresswell or look at Klose, etc.

It's good for those wanting to wildcard earlier I guess but more of a headache right? Now we'll be putting players in we wouldn't have wanted for GW34 (Lukaku not included).

Not sure any Palace are worth it. Bolasie as an outside punt, about it.

If Norwich score (on form, quite possible), he gets 4 points for the DGW. Then a FT to transfer him out.. maybe a -4 down the line.

            Nil points.

I see the upside, but I wouldn't want him in 34.

Does the second keeper play during BB?

If yes: getting two DGW34 keepers, both with blanks in GW35, is the same as getting one DGW34 and one SGW34 keeper, with the SGW34 having a game in GW34.

Over GW34-35 the two DGW keepers get 4 games
Over GW34-35 the one and one keepers get 4 games.

      Correct?

Antonio instead of Payet is a real game changer from me in terms of budget for GW33 WC. Is it mad to go through DGW34 without Payet? If I do this I will bring him in after the blank.

      Something along the lines of...

      DDG Robles
      Kos Reid Janmaat Sakho Simpson
      Mahrez Ozil Sanchez Coutinho Antonio
      Kane Kun Lukaku

      Dann the Template Destroyer.

Based on his current PPG score, his anticipated score for DGWs 33 & 34 is now 16 - that now takes him to the top of the class on that particular measure.

For those two weeks he's effectively a 224 point, 8 PPG, 10 goal, 4 assist, 12 clean sheet, 11.6m defender!!

Reckon I might take a chance on him!

Which are your Best(and highest owned) options from each dgw teams?

Feel if you keep the best options from each team you'll surely do well...

        Here are mine:

        Everton - Lukaku | ManCity - Aguero | Westham - Payet | Westbrom - Dawson
        CPL - Dann | Liv - Firmino | Newcastle - Mitrovic /Wijnaldum | Utd - DDG
        Watford - Deeney | Arsenal - Ozil / Sanchez | Chelsea - Costa/Fabregas
        Sunderland - Defoe | Norwich - Klose / Hoolahan

        Head blown

        With 3 x double GWs...surely 2/3 Everton a must...but then so many blanking players in 35.

Think we might just have to either accept 10 players or some points hits!

Is it essential to try and have both Sanchez and Ozil?.

Currently own Ozil but can get Sanchez on WC however his price his high and I can get Barkley instead a lot cheaper freeing up funds elsewhere?

It's essential not to throw this word about. Lots of options.

Nothing has changed in my eyes..

Pardew notoriously sucks at the end of every season.
Everton have no motivation to play for anything, and have 3 away games.

          Lukaku only for me!
