FFS Cups – Entry Now Open

Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce our Fantasy Premier League Cup competitions.

We are launching our 15th open-to-all tournament, along with an eighth competition for Members. Both tournaments have £300 in prizes on offer.

Sign-up for the open tournament can be found here.

Members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark, Leon Harris, A Manager Has No Name and our reigning champion, Sleepysi.

As former winners, those listed will gain a bye to the first round of the tournament should they enter with the same username.

In our Members Cup, our winners list is as follows:

Waltzingmatildas, Fuzzy Dunlop, Kippax Kickers Acquafresca, Trigg Ola Svanheld and the current champion, Malaikat Jahad.

Again, those listed above will gain a bye to the first round proper of the Members Cup should they enter with the username listed.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

How do the Cup Competitions Work?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup will take place in Gameweek 15, with the first round poper running in Gameweek 16.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday December 4, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

The qualifying round for the Members Cup will take place week later in Gameweek 16, with the first round running in Gameweek 17.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday December 11, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

How do I enter?

Enter the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

Enter the FFS Members Cup via the entry form here. This form is only visible to Members and you will need to log into the Members’ area to view the form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team id at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

You entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team Id as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

The Members FFS Cup list is here.

How do I find my FPL team Id?

Your FPL Id is your unique Id for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL id field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after December 4 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Results from the Members Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after December 11 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Everyone in my ML's has WC'd, so I am thinking of using mine. Sat 1st/2nd in all so in good shape. Dropped to 170k overall.

    WC proposal

    Elliot DDG
    Daniels Mustafi Davies (Moreno Mee)
    Salah Pogba Sane Richarlison (RLC)
    Kane Morata Wilson (or Murray)

    Current team:

    Elliot DDG
    DAVIES Mee JONES (NAUGHTON Moreno)
    Salah SILVA STERLING Richarlison CARROLL
    AGUERO ABRAHAM Kane

What do you think? Aguero (likely rest if plays tonight) Jones (injury) Abraham (injury then cannot play v Chelsea) Carroll (dropped)...

Is it a much improved team?

    Would really appreciate some help!!!!

I don't think you need to WC.

Aguero -> Morata this week and then g2g.

Looking to shift Aguero and Carroll -> Sane and one of:

    A) Abraham
    B) Wilson
    C) Someone else?

Worried that Bou have a number of striking options and Wilson will be rotated.

      So this was my dilemma.

The only solution that made sense was to go alot more expensive, which ruined my midfield, or go ultra cheap. I've gone DC-Lewin for the next two Niasse following that. Frees up lots of funds, they play and are as likely to score as Abraham imho. Win win.

Wilson or go cheaper and DCL in Niasse's absence.

      B. He won't play all, but when he does he probably delivers. Great fixtures, in form, and might be on penalties.

To back it up. I'm playing him away to the Swans, rather than sterling because i expect sterling to come of the bench and get 5-6 points max.

If Abraham is ruled out next week what is my best option

Play Mee (ARS) in a 4-4-2
Play Gross (mun) in a 3-5-2
    Do Abraham > Wilson

    Any ideas would be welcomed

I'm struggling for XI this week (even after shipping Mbemba and Stones for a -4). I'm not too worried about Mee coming off the bench if Sterling/Jones get no minutes between them

Probably could just do Abraham to Wilson, has great fixtures in a row and similar price. Rather safe than sorry i feel. Or hold the transfer if you have other more pressing options and 2 FT's would help you a lot next week.

So it's tricky. Everyone will say get the extra player which makes lots of sense but imho if your that squeezed for funds it's better to have the money on the pitch and a greater chance of points than coverage where neither will score well. Just my two pennies.

Yeah usually it would be A, but for Xmas it may be best to have a deep bench. That said, 14/15 of my team are starters and im happy enough with that.

Hey guys, I own Sterling and Aguero, what do you think is the best move for me this week?

    Pope - Speroni

    Daniels - Lowton - Moreno - Duffy - Hunemier

    Salah - Sterling - Richarlison - Zaha - RLC

    Aguero - Kane - Morata

I have the same front line. Many are selling Aguero and downgrading to a cheap forward and then upgrading at mid to Hazard. Some are straight selling Aguero to Lukaku. I am on the fence myself. You could also trade Sterling to Sane, which seems less popular, but I think Sane is a must-have. You could do nothing, too. Aguero and Sterling could both do as well as any other player, regardless of starting or coming on as subs.

      1. Forza Juventus
        • 9 Years
        6 years, 6 months ago

Yeah this is why it's so tough. Don't rly want Hazard this week but after i wouldn't mind the double up at all. Would be able to keep Sterling too and see how it goes with him, but that means no Sane which i dislike. Also wouldn't mind having Pogba soon but i guess i could wait until those 2 bad fixtures come about 3 Gws from now. Holding seems ideal until i see them both benched and get pissed haha, frustrating...

Right. The challenge is to try and remove the emotional-frustration part from the equation, and use logic and probabilities to reason it out. Aguero may very well not play again vs Hud, or come on as a sub, or maybe he starts. The key is over the next 3 games -- Huddersfield, Soton, and West Ham -- do we think he produces on par with the alternatives. I think he does. It will be tough to hold this stock against market forces.

Fully depends on if you have a good bench option to replace him and how badly you rly want to keep him going forward, but sounds like he should miss this one game max and be fine after.

Keep Abraham or bring in Wilson? On benc I have T. Carroll but if I keep Abraham I would probably do Carroll to RLC

    1. Forza Juventus
      • 9 Years
      6 years, 6 months ago

I think RLC is a big upgrade over Carroll. So if Tammy benches this one game having RLC v Stoke at home isnt bad at all. C Wilson could explode again but also Bournemouth have 4 playable strikers in a busy period, i smell rotation regardless of his form, especially as C Wilson is injury prone.

Thans for replay. Don't want to sell Abraham. I got him for 5.5 so if I sell him now for 5.7 it won't be easy returning him back if his price stop droping at 5.9. On the other hand he will miss one more game, against Chelsea.

Can't be alone in having no clue what to do this week. 1FT:
    Elliot
    Jones (Mee) Daniels Wimmer
    Salah Silva Sterling Choupo
    Kane Morata Kun

Unlikely to get any clean sheets, Sterling & Kun rotation risks, Kane unfit and not producing. Would you just ride this weekend and save FT and look to downgrade Kun to put funds into GK/Def? Or any moves you would make? Nothing ITB

I can understand the suggestion but I don't like Kaku as an option right now. Seems a bit out of sorts and I can see Zlatan getting a start in one of the 2 fixtures before the tough moves. Think I want to downgrade Kun to a cheapie to spread the funds into the rest of my squad

    1 FT, 0 ITB

    Begovic - (Elliot)
    Otamendi - Kolasinac - Cedric - (Mee - Moreno)

Neither. At that price bracket I'd say Choupo is the best bet. Or RLC and use the funds elsewhere

Well I have Clark. Was gonna do Clark to Kiko but at the moment it looks like Kiko will be assessed and Lascelles won't make it so better to stick for now I guess. Kiko will be in in a few weeks though

    Thoughts on my W/C team

    Begovic/Elliot
    Smalling/Christensen/Duffy/Mee/Moreno
    Gross/Sane/Sterling/Pogba/Salah
    Kane/Morata/Niasse

    Main questions are:
    1. Defence look strong enough - little worried Christensen/Smalling might be rotated/dropped?
    2. Do I hold Niasse over his ban - would most likely be sitting on the bench anyway?
    3. Any big hitter that I'm missing out on - Hazard seems like the one but not sure how to fit him in without losing Kane

      1. Smalling Christensen and Moreno all susceptible to rotation/dropping. I'd have one, if any of them, not all three
      2. On WC I wouldn't go Niasse. I'd keep if I had him but wouldn't bring him in
      3. Can't have them all

        Thanks Professor.

        1. Moreno I can deal with a little more as he will be used mainly for home games - the other 2 are less acceptable to me.
        2. Problem is lack of alternatives as I only have 0.2 itb. Calvert Lewin is the obvious replacement but that will most likely only be a 2 week fix

      If possible Smalling > Mustafi
      Moreno > Dann
      Niasse > DCL.
      Teams looks great then

Is Mustafi a big improvement over Smalling?
Personally can't have Dann, much happier with Moreno.

Only have 2 fit defenders if Jones is out. This worth a free hit?
    Pope > lloris
    Jones > Davies

Same dilemma. Only 5.2 to spend though. I'm thinking Mee, Maguire (Simpson/Morgan if I want the extra money) or Kiko Feminia.

Have Moreno, Duffy, Dann and Daniels already.

Out of yours would go A!

Hey. There will be no rises befor night time, central European time? Holding of Sterling to Pogba until i looked at couple more possibilities. Clean cut swap RLC/Pogba in for Carroll/Sterling. 12.5 m for 12.5m.

Damn!! my WC team is falling apart for this wk. Loaded bench with nailed players but Jones and Niasse out for easy fixtures has hurt me.

Forced to play Mee v Arsenal and Knockaert /Duffy v UTD.

Stick or use ft to get rid of Jones at least??

Teams a mess and potentially won't have enough this weekend, looking for some more suggestions:

    Elliot
    Alonso, monreal, dunk, mee
    Richarlison, eriksen, sterling*, Silva
    Aguero*, kane

    Foster, Jones* niasse* Carroll*

Bench won't play and have a few starting player doubts.

possibly but who do you swap him for this week
was thinking if both kun and sterling get benched you only have silva in a good fixture. He has gone 6,5,2,3,7 over last five games. Would have thought you would want more than that from city this week

    2. Jekori
      • 9 Years

Jones > Maguire. TC > RLC/Surman. You don't wanna play dunk and sterling probably plays some minutes. If Kün doesn't Mee can come of the bench.

Since we are in the same boat, we could strategize. I am likely moving Jones to Otamendi, and if Kiko is uncertain, I may also move Kiko to Daniels. Kiko does have some tough fixtures coming up, so it is not a poor move regardless, yet we'd naturally bench if he were healthy. I feel like I need four definite playing defenders this week if I choose to hold Aguero, and I don't want one of them to have to be my fifth defender, Fernandez.

Yup have Aguero and Kiko and if I choose to hold Aguero I might do Kiko to Otamendi as have the exact cash
