No Sanchez for United as Lukaku makes first start

Brighton and Hove Albion entertain Manchester United in the late-afternoon match, with Alexis Sanchez‘s (£10.5m) omission from Jose Mourinho’s match-day squad the headline news.

The United boss confirmed the Chilean midfielder, the ninth-most captained player of Gameweek 2, misses the trip to Brighton through injury.

Romelu Lukaku (£11.0m) gets his first league start of the season, as do Ashley Young (£6.0m) and Anthony Martial (£7.4m). Matteo Darmian (£5.0m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.0m) make way.

Paul Pogba (£8.1m), the fifth-most bought player of Gameweek 2, captains United once more.

The Seagulls’ only two changes from the side that lost to Watford are in the full-back department: Bernardo and the injured Bruno being replaced by Gaetan Bong and debutant Martin Montoya (all £4.5m).

That Dale Stephens (£4.5m) is the most-owned Brighton player in FPL, sitting in 10% of squads, says much about the Fantasy community’s faith in the Seagulls this afternoon. Stephens is also the fifth-most benched player of Gameweek 2: over 84% of his owners have opted against playing the budget midfielder.

    Which set of transfers would look better long term?

    A) Tomkins, Jota , Bsilva, Mitro -> Mendy, Mhiki, Maddison, Ings (-8) Double up Mendy and Ederson

    Kinda knee jerking but I don't want Jota in my team and have to get Mendy in somehow (Already have 3 city players though - Aguero Ederson and BSilva)

          Neat and tidy. Played at RWB until Mahrez came on. He then went central and got into some good positions, could and probably should have scored near the end.

      He wrote the article. Then a 'itk' city source shared the article. However the article was conjecture based only. Which many including me failed to note. Went with Salah instead stupidly

      I actually think the community wisdon here did pretty well. When I read it, I immediately switched over to Salah, but there were plenty of calm heads here saying, "Nah, it still makes no sense" and I switched back at 11:28. I would like to thank each and every one of those people (assuming Salah doesn't score four).

    I want to bring Mendy in. To do that, I need to sell Ederson. Which keeper do I bring in?
    1) Hart (may well be a rotation risk, especially now Heaton is back and after today's performance)
    2) Hennessy (good fixtures but I keep thinking that Guaita will take his place)
    3) Fabianski (WHU are not looking too good at the back)
    4) Patricio (Wolves same as WHU)
