Fixtures

Which FPL players are on international duty ahead of Double Gameweek 32?

A week of international fixtures gets underway today, with Germany and Wales among the countries in action this evening.

This is the final international break of 2018/19 and falls before the biggest Double Gameweek of the season, so there will be a nervy wait for Fantasy managers as we keep our fingers crossed for an injury-free seven days.

This article gives a club-by-club rundown on which assets will be away from their sides during this period, also detailing the dates in which these players will be competing for their respective countries.

There are several high-profile names missing from this list, of course.

Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) won’t be linking up with Egypt, while Aymeric Laporte (£5.9m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.8m) will not be representing their respective countries either.

Alexandre Lacazette (£9.4m) was omitted from the France national squad, while Gonzalo Higuain (£9.6m), like Aguero, wasn’t selected by Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni.

Marcos Alonso (£6.4m), Cesar Azpilicueta (£6.3m) and Jonny (£4.3m) won’t feature for Spain, meanwhile.

There are a cluster of players whose countries are scheduled to be in action in the early hours of Wednesday March 27 who then face a long-haul flight back from the Americas: Tim Ream (£4.2m), Antonio Valencia (£6.4m), DeAndre Yedlin (£4.5m), Miguel Almiron (£6.0m), Fabian Balbuena (£4.2m), Javier Hernandez (£6.1m) and Raul Jimenez (£6.8m).

It may be, however, that some of those players have been the subject of agreements between club and country to return to the UK before their respective nations’ second fixture over the international break, as has been the case before.

The good news for owners of Argentina and Brazil assets is that those two countries aren’t playing their two international friendlies in South America, although Argentina travel to Morocco on Tuesday.

Sadio Mane (£10.0m) is amongst the popular Fantasy options in action in Africa on Tuesday, while Son Heung-min (£8.6m) will be heading over to Asia for a double-header with South Korea – the second fixture being contested on Tuesday morning (UK time).

I opted for Laporte Kepa over Ederson luiz.

      A) Cheaper
      B) Luiz rotation in easy game concern.

Is there an easy game for Chelsea? Since I last checked, every game is hard for them

Apart from Deulofeu, who is a rotation risk in the 2nd easier game against FUL.
      Great team.

Too nervous to confirm him in just in case it screws things up

      So it's down to:

      A. Kane + Deulofeu

      B. Higuain(or another striker) + Son

      Which would you choose?

      Rest of the team is:
      Ederson
      Luiz - Lindelof - Schlupp
      Hazard - Pogba - Sterling - X
      Aguero - Jiminez -X

Griezmann being linked with Man Utd on BBC today, what a signing that would be

Bale not so much. The guys perma-injured and his wages are a joke.

Griezmann would be interesting, his release claus reduces to 120m after this season

Only chance of Bale in the PL, and I'm not it's even possible, is some kind of loan agreement to Chelsea, involving Hazard going to other way.

Otherwise the only other club he'd move to would be PSG I think.

Seriously considering going 1 up top this gw32. Am I mad?

      Ederson
      Azpi, Luiz, Lindelof, Shaw
      Hazard, Sterling,Pogba,Alli,Milli
      Aguero (C)

I'd only have Pogba is Matic is fit and Shaw is flagged at the min.
Just reckon 4 at the back is 40+ and i'll get more out of a midfield than Strikers.

By that i mean keeper and 4 defenders with at least 1 clean sheet each average. 40 plus.

Maybe consider wolves and Watford but don’t be too disheartened if they don’t play 180mins or only play in one match but league is Saturday 30 March then Tuesday 2nd April then Fa Cup is Sunday 7th April. So nice gap of 5 days to prep for semi. Both bosses like their fav XI but prepared to rotate on odd occasion

      Guaita

      Etheridge Barnes Clyne Bednarek.

Pogba played very deep against southampton after being the real threat for weeks for MU.

Matic situation should be monitored I believe, so as herrera's. We can't afford a deep Pogba at that price tag

He’s been playing in a different position because of injuries. With the squad coming back he should be in for more like returns we saw prior to injuries.

Matic has withdrawn from international duty. Needs monitoring to see if it’s a real injury. I’ve owned Pogba since OGS arrived and am reluctant to sell but don’t want two 4pts in DGW.

Very valid points, but still I've not seen a single team without him. Assuming everyone on this site is consolidating top 10k ranks and blocking off mini league rivals then? Sterling, Aguero, Hazard and Sclupp I understand, Pogba is expendable I believe.
