Having previously looked at the optimum Free Hit squad for Blank Gameweek 31 and Double Gameweek 32, we revisit this feature ahead of Blank Gameweek 33.

This isn’t just an article for those using their Free Hit chip, of course, and the data we analyse below will hopefully provide some assistance to those who are either deploying their second Wildcard or navigating the blank fixtures using normal transfers.

The tight turnaround between Gameweeks 32 and 33 means that we will be grouping Fantasy midfielders and forwards together in our search for appealing attacking assets.

      There's merits in Erik but still think Mane will deliver. If liv are to win this, those points got to come from somewhere, and Mane is the form man.

      Rondon would block a rival. Just think Rafa will go ultra defensive and Palace are fairly sound defensively. A point for both is edging towards survival for both.

        Cheers. I'd love to replace him but he has a fixture and he could always get some game time. Hadn't realised his stats were so good. The eye test really wins this particular debate.

          Yeah, as an Arsenal fan, Laca looking great. Only question is how Arsenal will do in the next few (away form been pretty ropey). Also always a chance Emery rotates and starts Auba up top on his own. More nailed than Hig though for sure

    Any advice hugely welcome:

    Keen to get rid of Higuain this week, as his can't seem to score, and not even sure he'll start. I have used my Wildcard. Should I:

    A) Get Vardy (hud) with the potential of another transfer to get in a double gw player for GW35 (think he's the most likely to score big this week)

    B) Get Laca (eve) and keep for the DGW.

    C) Keep Higs and hope he'll start/actually score.

    Leaning towards King since every single return (apart from 1) he had all season was at home. Any reason King is better than Wilson or the opposite? Do Burnley concede many penalties for example?

    There doesn't seem to be much love for Josh King (BOU) on here at the moment it's all Vardy or Lacazette. Has everyone forgotten what a great blank gameweek player Josh is. 2 goals and 3 bonus points in BGW31 and I seem to remember similar hauls in season gone by. With a Bournemouth home fixture (always better at home) against Burnley could he be the man again?

      I’m not sure his performance is driven by whether or not it’s an FPL blank gameweek!

      Think most here prefer Wilson to King but I think both are good options.

        I was one who preferred Wilson to King in BGW31 as I didn't believe this theory either. I have never signed him in previous seasons and he's always the man I should have had. I'm going to ignore him again for BGW33 because logic and stats suggest others are better but .... Josh haul incoming? .... watch this space. LOL

            I was on a FH in GW31. As a result my GW33 team only had 9 active players so I needed to sign another striker and have gone for Vardy because of form and fixture but just know King is going to defy logic again.
