Leicester City’s squad could provide Fantasy Premier League managers with some powerful differentials in the early part of 2019/20.

Probably because of uninspiring opening fixtures, none of Brendan Rodgers’ players is owned by more than 13.7% ahead of Gameweek 1.

However, there is enough in the underlying statistics from last year to suggest the Foxes could enjoy Rodgers’ first full season at the helm.

As this article uses data Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who are signed up for the 2019/20 can access it in full.

      Quite possibly.
I prefer Perez at 6.5m OOP, and not keen on the double up.

Someone classed as a midfielder but playing as a striker.

I'm worried about Perez upsetting the balance of the Leicester team. Having an extra strike on the pitch doesn't automatically mean the team scores more goals. It means that there's one less midfielder controlling the game. If he plays on the wing then is he better than their wingers? I'm not sure. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up rarely getting 90 minutes.

Both will play up front, with Maddison in the 10.
Think how Sterling, Suarez and Sturridge played at Liverpool under Rodgers.

    Fabinaski
Van Dijk / Coleman / Alderweireld
Salah / De Bruyne / Fraser / Perez

      Very nice indeed.

Ings is the class of his bracket but those fixtures are completely back to front. I’d personally put that money at the back.

No Sterling I think is correct if you go Mo. I don’t see that combo lasting in the template for long. The bigger call is single Liverpool defence imo.

    - Rotating keepers

    Hows this 442 looking?

    Heaton/Henderson
    TAA/VVD/Zinc/coleman
    Sterling/Salah/Fraser/Grealish

Wouldn't go for 5 at the back personally particularly starting Taylor every week and KWP (although he may be a good option if we don't sign a new RB, still hoping we do given he is bang average and can't cope with pace), Barkley not guaranteed either

Lads, I'd appreciate it if you could help out a non-English FPL player who has not watched a single minute of the Championship.

How much can we expect out of (a) Grealish and (b) McGinn?

    1. HamezMace
      • 12 Years
      7 years, 1 month ago

When you say how much can we expect, what do you mean?
Both are good players, Grealish more of an advanced playmaker, who does come up with some nice goals.
McGinn is possibly the best 5.5m option, although Robinson could be.
McGinn does pick up a few bookings, but gets forward a fair bit too

      1. sirmorbach

I do apologise for my vagueness.

If this helps, I would appreciate some thoughts on Grealish's FPL potential, value for money, things like that. Quite directly: worth the 6.0? Overpriced? Under?

          No worries,
I think there are better options than Grealish personally, I don’t think he’ll score enough goals to be worth £6m.
There are a few options at Chelsea at £6m who will be better.

Grealish a great pick IMO. i have him in my team and i expect him to do well this season.
Mcginn is also class, but i prefer Grealish because of more advanced position and naildness.
also villa has great opening fixtures an i expect them to be attacking. defence is a question mark with so many new transfers but looking promising as well.

i agree his stats last year are not impressive, but also villa is a different team this year, i feel he has something to prove this year and as i said before i expect him to do well, great preat season stats as well. of course this is all theoretical but that's my thinking and i also like a punt or two.

Decide what formation you want to play, 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 by the look of it. And downgrade the player you’ll be benching...looks like either Grealish to a 4.5, or Jota to a 4.5...and then see what upgrades you can make to your starting eleven with the money saved.

Gonna balance out no sterling with Bilva and Kev to start, and perhaps in the end downgrade Kane and have both Mo AND Sterling.....

    Steer
    Zinchenko TAA VVD Digne
    Perez Salah Barkley BSilva KDB
    Kane

    Button Wickham Lundstram Janssen

I wouldn’t like to have no bench with three city players.

I don’t think you need Bilva and KDB. Maybe get rid a Bilva for Fraser or Martial who I am punting on. Gives you 0.5 to stick on your bench...

Ceballos or not? As a playing 5th midfielder in a 3-5-2 set up.

For all those on minimal frontlines isn’t there at least half a case for Jota Jim?

One will play anyway whatever happens in EL. Both have unbelievable goal involvement. Wolves will continue to score goals. Fixtures are neutral if last season is any guide. Find me a 6.5 to 7.5 forward who isn’t going to disappoint on a regular basis. Those two you can put up top and feel confident of regular returns. Almost set and forget territory avoiding wasteful haul chasing transfers of the latest Mitro from last season.

Are you suggesting that people should have both or one of them?

        Both

It may look reckless of course!

'Neutral' is a stretch. Two favorable home matches in their first eight.

But they bombed in easy matches as a team and performed against top 6 was my general point.

Did they not lose to Huddersfield twice? That’s what I remember anyway. I also recall them scaring Liverpool badly at He end of the season.

I'm with Jota and I am fully considering Europa.

Jimmy along with him would be too much for me though.

        Jota bothers me.

I think he’s one of those who could be great this season. But Cutrone could well eat into his minutes given how often he was hauled last time. Is there even a reverse oop scenario on the cards?

I suspect I will end up with Jim when I downgrade my forward line. But still Jota feels as if he has a higher top end if EL doesn’t interfere and they at least maintain form.

You have great points. Jota's risks sure are (a) Cutrone and (b) Europa.

But here's where I'm coming from: at this price range, who *doesn't* have risks? King might still be unable to score away. Wesley, Adams might not adapt to the Premier League from the get go. Ings has fitness issues. Wood does not have great stats.

Balancing everything, I think Jota is still the best option.

Agreed at 6.5 Jota is the pick for me and by a distance. I’m just less convinced that Jim won’t be better value at 7.5

I’m flying against orthodoxy here I imagine by treating my mid value players as potential set and forgets. I’m thinking Fraser and Perez in the middle and Jim or Jota up top

This. I really like Vardy, but the difference between Robbo-Digne is bigger than Wilson-Vardy imo.
