Leicester City’s squad could provide Fantasy Premier League managers with some powerful differentials in the early part of 2019/20.

Probably because of uninspiring opening fixtures, none of Brendan Rodgers’ players is owned by more than 13.7% ahead of Gameweek 1.

However, there is enough in the underlying statistics from last year to suggest the Foxes could enjoy Rodgers’ first full season at the helm.

As this article uses data Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who are signed up for the 2019/20 can access it in full.

It's that precious 0.5 over Perez

You'd think Perez plays further forward so don't see why you would.

Looks good, I'm not sure I'd double up on city's defence. You might need that 3rd spot to go to a attacking player in a few weeks

Strong talks linking Cancelo with city for Danilo+Cash. Cancelo can play RW, CM, RB and LB. Definately more pep rotation in bound if this goes through lol.

In a draft league so have to keep everyone all season. What do you think is the safest punt (most starts) out of Zinchenko, Stones or Emerson?

      2. JohnnyMagrinho
        6 years, 11 months ago

I agree with all other than Pope.

Hart has played more in pre-season than Pope. But I do remember talk of Hart leaving.

I think it's one to watch.

How do drafts leagues work and how do you set them up? Or is it like a consent thing where you agree to not make transfers etc

    1. Brosstan
      • 11 Years
      6 years, 11 months ago

Invite people to a league. Set a date and time for the draft. Everyone goes online at the same time to do the draft, alternating picks. Anyone who isnt there gets automatic picks. Tip: Dont do it during peak times like for instance Sunday evening as the game will lag as 5hit

There is a draft tab in fpl. You can enter a public draft which normally starts 15 mins after you enter a team or do one with mates and set a draft time. You take it in turns to pick a player you can swap with free agents and each other. Hope that helps

Then we would have the exact 15. I do really like Siggy though. I think B is more of a gamble but a lot high point potential. KDB I expect to play a deeper role and Barkley is Barkley.

It’s based on the average premier league player right? So someone who overshoots their xG consistently over a few years is proving they’re comfortably above average at finishing.

Am a bit surprised at most teams in here having a double up of any defence for the first game of the season.

Liverpool are a bit disjointed and playing a new team - could easily snatch a goal as they're a bit of an unknown quantity relatively speaking. Pre-season shouldn't be the biggest factor in deciding who to go for, but Liverpool don't look solid at the back right now. Sundays game will be telling.

And City are away at a team that doesn't roll over and recently beat them.

As its such an easy opening fixture for Liverpool it just seems like it's almost inevitable they'll concede.

    1. lugs

Firstly, it will be easier to downgrade from robertson, TAA or VVD to any other defenders instead of the other way round. Secondly, these defenders not only have clean sheet potential but also attacking threat. Having said that, I'm punting on Origi and choosing only 1 liverpool def because if he does well in GW1, his value will definitely soar at a higher rate than if the liverpool defenders do the same.

    3. Mr Bird
      • 7 Years

Everyone will take time to settle but not everyone had one of the best defences by far last season... it’s logical to get as many LIV/MCI players as possible from the start but even in the extremely unlikely event either turn rubbish over night, you can move to literally anyone else in the game

  22. Tsparkes10

    Talk about squad depth...

    Hendo
    Robo TAA Cathcart
    Bilva KDB Salah Perez Robinson
    Jota Lacazette
    (4.0, Wesley, JOC, Diop)

3 4.5m defenders rotate nicely... Wesley can rotate with Robinson or Perez. KDB can easy become Son... Laca easy become a 6.5 and then Bilva to Sterling etc.

I see Villa's mids benefitting more from Wesley than I see him necessarily scoring. I think FPL wise Adams ir worth the gamble

Wesley will score and assist and Villa will score more than Soton imo so you do the maths. Both could be good at the price.

Very similar to my current draft but I am thinking of Moura instead of Bilva..

It seems everyone is so intent on Kane doing well, and whilst i can see logic in choosing him, i just can't seem to do it myself.

How many times has he let us down, has something drastically changed or something as to why people are choosing him?
Doesn't he drop deep as usual?

Any insight here would be helpful, thanks.

Never let me down. Maybe I am just lucky with him. 😀

Haha! maybe, i'm at the opposite end of the spectrum, i've hardly ever had massive success with him unfortunately.
Best of luck for the new season Doosra, hope all is well, always a pleasure 🙂

First off the price is very tempting along with the fixtures GW1 and 3 which make Kane a viable captaincy choice.

The problem with Kane is his points potential is less than Salah and Sterling. This is because more points for a goal and cleansheet and they’re more likely to get assists than Kane. Albeit Kane is cheaper than both I think they’ll outscore Kane this year.

Agree with all that, he either tends to deliver big for me (rarely), or does the minimum and grabs a goal, and for the outlay i just can't seem to bring myself bringing him in to begin with. Each to their own of course, just wondered if any new insights emerged to make him a kind of 'must have' lately.

Of course I fear him and he could make it difficult for non-owners early on with those fixtures! 27.3% ownership too.

This is true, but then those without Sterling/Salah to accommodate Kane could also balance it out 🙂

I'd love to have him, but I don't have the balls to go without Salah and Sterling

    Thoughts:

    Ryan (Button)

    Robbo, VVD, Zinchenko Vertongen (Kelly)

Salah, Siggy, B Silva, Pogba (Dendoncker)

    Vardy, King (Murray)

Alternatives for Vertongen: AWB, Maguire, PVA, Coleman

Murray to 4.5, BSilva to KDB.
Pogba to Fraser, King to Wesley/Adams/Ings, Zinc to Laporte

Haller , Jota , King or , Murray, Ings , Pukki, Deulofeu . Rank them 1 to 7. or at least rank the best and worst if 1 to 7 is too much

You could go back to your avg OR from 2008-2016 😉
On a more serious note, you insist so much on the guy it almost look as if you wanted to mislead people into selecting him. But hope he will deliver for you this season.

There is a pub in Donegal (Letterkenny) giving 10 free pints each week for gamesweek winner plus winner takes all prize money. Are there any other good establishments doing anything similar.

Anyone considering Rashford in their team? I was planning to bring him in later but Chelsea has been conceding a lot in pre-season so maybe it might be a good idea to get him in for GW1?

It will be a choice between Wilson or Rashford for me but probably will wait until next week for final decision.
