Manchester City options are likely to form the bedrock of Fantasy Premier League teams again this season.

However, selecting the right ones might prove challenging in the early part of the season.

In this latest article, we take a look at how they performed last season and what trends were set at different stages of the campaign.

As this uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout members area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.

If u play a version where you are not allowed to make any transfers during the season. Only change formation and captain.

What would your team look like?

    Mine is:

    Heaton/henderson

    vvd, Coleman, cathcart, Laporte, Lundstram

    Salah, pepe, bilva, mcginn, pulisic

    Wilson, Wood, jota

think I'd have Wilson, Vardy & Jota probably
Triple Liverpool defence with Sterling would be tempting, not sure how affordable that is

    Heaton 4.0

Only Rico nailed of the 4s long-ish term. Even he can drop out any second really. Nice try but doesn’r Work sadly. Downgrade king to a 6m like Wesley then upgrade Lundstram to a 4.5m like Montoya. Play 442 with Montoya and Rico benching Wesley first week then away you go

I don't hate it, but the logic of this setup over the long-term is that a 6.5 forward will score more than a 6.5 defender, which I wouldn't feel confident about..

Newcastle fans. Where does Hayden fit in once ASM is settled? Is Bruce really going to play ASM as the LWB? Or is going to be sensible and change to 4231? If he does this will Hayden fit in the double pivot or does ASM bench him ?

KWP is my only real worry. But can’t think of a better 5.0 defender. Seems like a good punt for gw1 against Villa. Otherwise Lundstrom comes in for a cameo which isn’t the end of the world.

How about this as a super-flexible team:

    Heaton / Ryan
    TAA / Laporte / Coleman / Diop / C. Taylor
    Salah / Sterling / Moura / Perez / Barkley
    Wilson / Wesley / Greenwood

    Pros:
    - Nice rotation for keepers
    - Can play almost any formation (4-5-1, 3-5-2, 4-4-2 most useful)
    - Bench cover (Greenwood only true bench fodder)

    Cons:
    - 1 Liv Def
    - Moura / Barkley aren't nailed -> although Moura probably become a 6-7.5 player after gw2
    - Wesley unproven

    1. abaalan

      Otherwise:

From GW3 onwards I think have 5 man midfield will be essential once the naileds, OOPs and standout form players become clear. Picking just 5 will be the hard part. Salah, Sterling, Mane, Son, Pepe, Richarlison, Bilva, Pulisic, Martial, Zaha, Perez, Almiron... any of them could be excellent OOP players.

I'm already having trouble picking the mids. Have Fraser, Barkley and Lanzini at the moment.

Ive looked at West Ham as well. But their defence is so pony that there is no base for their exciting attackers to play from.

      Robbo to TAA
      Laporte to Stones/Zinchenko
      Coleman to Digne
      McGinn to Barkley

      imo

Also surprised you're on Kane over Sterling, rationale?
