Tottenham Hotspur players are causing some Fantasy Premier League managers dilemmas at the start of the season.

They have a favourable opening fixture at home to Aston Villa but with a trip to Manchester City in Gameweek 2 and relatively expensive price points, their assets could be the ones to miss out on those initial teams.

However, there are some encouraging reasons to own some of Mauricio Pochettino’s players at the start of the new campaign.

In this article we assess Spurs’ defensive and attacking potential based on last season’s underlying statistics.

As this analysis uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.

    1) or 2) please? 🙂
    Or something else?

    1) Digne and Dendoncker (play 4-4-2)
    2) Lascelles and Perez/Grealish (play 3-5-2)

    Pope (4.0)
    TAA/Robertson/Azpi/xxx/4.0
    Salah/Sterling/Siggy/Tielemans/xxx
    King/Jota/4.5

Morning all. Best 4.5 defender. Playing 3 at the back so he's just bench fodder really and already have Lundstram.

Currently on Dunk but seen a bit of hype around that Villa dude.

Yh that's my concern. Because I don't know him or Villa I'm a little worried about rotation.

The Leipzig line up is as close to starting 10 only possibility is new DM instead of Hourihane but possibly same 11. Elmo is RB and RM bench cover

We didn't buy a fast overlapping RB to play Smith's system only to keep Elmo at RB who played there really only after Hutton was injured and was phenomenally better

My theory on the previous article that this site and membership helps you FPL better. After using this site for over 10 years I can see both sides to this argument.

Initially I spent HOURS on here looking at stats, having discussions, analyzing tickers, etc. but in the end it became a blessing an a curse. You take punts based on site bandwagons, make unnecessary transfers, and generally burn hours overthinking a game that relies a lot on patience, timing and luck.

I don't member anymore, cause I'm just not on here very often, though it is still my go to site for all things FPL.

Last season I took a conscious decision to not spend too much time on the game, get the fun back in playing (the game really started to affect my mood), and overall not take it too seriously, and I had a good season, finishing 35k.

My mantra for FPL now is this... Enjoy the ride, cause when the season ends, it all really doesn't matter. Unless you win of course!

Can't see any reason why that can't happen if it hasn't.. one of the best in his position in the world, dare i say it probably the best when it comes to attacking as a RB, can play RB/RM, and is joining for the best club in the land

So I've been a member since the site began.. But the main things I look at are the season ticker and the player stats/comparison tool using pen box touches, shots in the box, chances created and big chances. Are there any other important stats to consider? I've never really looked at xG or xA.. What are they calculated from? Also if someone has an xG of 3.1 and has scored 0 goals does that mean they should have scored 3(based on what factors?) but scored 0.. Meaning they have a goal imminent(ie Joe's table?)

    1. SpiritRising
      • 8 Years
      6 years, 11 months ago

Expected goals is based on the quality of chances they have based on the location they have taken the shot. It is based on how often the average player would score from that position. There can be variance we to whether a player exceeds this total but you would be expect world class players to at least match the xg and sometimes significantly exceed it ala Salah 2 years ago

I'm a big believer that wolves will get more clean sheets this time around and were unlucky last year not to. Players like boly for 5 who is also a threat at set pieces. Wolves perform well against top sides so won't be to rotate too much.

With cancelo's signing, is it better to -

Morning! Not the best to choose from, but what do you prefer please?

    A) Coleman | Lundstram | Dendoncker
    B) Guilbert | Montoya | Norwood
    C) Guilbert | Lundstram | McGinn

All would be in the starting XI

    Thanks!
