Which Spurs players are worth owning in FPL this season?

Tottenham Hotspur players are causing some Fantasy Premier League managers dilemmas at the start of the season.

They have a favourable opening fixture at home to Aston Villa but with a trip to Manchester City in Gameweek 2 and relatively expensive price points, their assets could be the ones to miss out on those initial teams.

However, there are some encouraging reasons to own some of Mauricio Pochettino’s players at the start of the new campaign.

In this article we assess Spurs’ defensive and attacking potential based on last season’s underlying statistics.

As this analysis uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.

    So looking for a 4.5 defender that I will need to play in GW2
    who are the nailed 4.5 Sheffield United defenders and which would you pick?
    Don't think Palace up to much attacking wise especially if Zaha is gone or has the hump.

      Not sure about McGinn or Robinson not looked into both much.

      I prefer Trossard because of the 3 fixtures and he seems to be nailed. Also on set pieces when Gross not on the pitch?

      Last one is a coin toss I think go with the one you think will keep more CS.

    Thinking of Wilson / Greenwood to King/ Ings, to add a be of flexibility - Which I guess is another question.

      Its a pretty good team. You're picking decently players from the 2 best teams in the league. The bench is weak - there's a chance you might not get 11 out if someones rested, but that could be a price worth paying.

        And on your other question. Guess it depends on whether you think Wilson is a big upgrade on King or not. King/Ings gives you an extra safer bench option, but you then have to choose who to bench each week. Will Wilson outscore King by enough to risk the weaker bench?

      This is my dilemma too. Both look good and could bring the bacon home.

      My SSK team differences to yours are KWP,TAA,King,Ludstram to your Zinchenko,Dunk,Wilson,Lund.

      Then I wonder whether a Kane > Wilson downgrade would be more beneficial, change King > Wood and spread the rest.

    Anyone figured out a really good 4.5 def rotation?

    Currently on Cathcart + O'Connell. Fixtures work well, both nailed and both did decently last year (albeit SHU in the champ) but I'm not convinced Watford or Sheff.U are the most likely teams to be keeping sites) cleanies...

      I was all set on oconnell.. He missed the last 3 games though. So may be a small doubt for gw 1. Waiting on presses. Burnley + Sheffield/Villa+ West ham look good for a 3 way rotation. Burnley + Villa for 2 way. I think both those sides will get a lot of CS tbh as compared to the likes of brighton/Watford etc in the 4.5 range

      Robinson played OOP attacker in pre-season and couldn't stop scoring. Although the acquisition of McBurnie leaves a question mark over his role in the team. I'm punting on him anyway. Great form and fixtures.
