Tottenham Hotspur players are causing some Fantasy Premier League managers dilemmas at the start of the season.

They have a favourable opening fixture at home to Aston Villa but with a trip to Manchester City in Gameweek 2 and relatively expensive price points, their assets could be the ones to miss out on those initial teams.

However, there are some encouraging reasons to own some of Mauricio Pochettino’s players at the start of the new campaign.

In this article we assess Spurs’ defensive and attacking potential based on last season’s underlying statistics.

As this analysis uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who have signed up for the 2019/20 season can access it in full.

Who's the pick from the United defence?

RMT rates Shaw quite highly and he compares quite well vs Maguire and AWB. I'm thinking he could be an exciting differential and more nailed than Zinchenko or Coleman now.

      AWBaps.

The only risk with him is if United underperform, he will drop in price pretty hard.

The calibre of players rumoured with PL clubs is incredible.

    Dybala, Fernandes, Coutinho, Eriksen...

Let’s bring them all in. We might need a bigger FPL budget.

I had to include him as he is also likely to be on the move as Spurs want money for him.

But it really is making for an exciting season. Especially as it is Arsenal, Spurs and United with the reinforcements.

It’s a case of don’t fix what isn’t broken for LFC and City.
