Williams wasn't taken to Astana so I assume he is very likely to start against Villa. If anyone is looking for a 4.0m defender, it could be a good short term option with significant attacking potential in the short term (and maybe longer term).

Ole all but confirmed he will start vs Villa, word is now that Shaw will have to fight hard to oust him. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Shaw will play vs Astana and think Willams will be preferred to Young regardless.

Young was fit vs Brighton and Sheffield as well so looks like he is behind Williams in pecking order right now.

Shaw was taken to Astana so pretty certain that he won’t start vs Villa. There is still a possibility that Shaw might get his spot back once he is back to full fitness but for now Williams seems safe.

After tonight's performance, I sold Salah and went for this team:
    (3-5-2)
    Ryan / (Button)
    TAA, Tomori, Söyüncü (Lundstram, Rico)
    Mane, Son, KDB, Maddison, Pulisic
    Abraham, Vardy (Greenwood)

Why are some looking to sell Abraham so quickly when they have no idea of the problem ? He has been stood up speaking about the injury this evening . If it was that bad surely he wouldn't be doing that.

Will wait until pressers obviously, but it's opportunities like this that can sometimes prove quite fortuitous to snap up someone who may have two great immediate fixtures to cover for Tammy's blanks (if he is out for 2+ games). A move we wouldn't normally consider should tammy not got injured.

Agree but some appear to be assuming he is out for a good few game weeks already. Would love to see him sold by them now and for him to be fit for the weekend.

Why does that bother you so much?

      1. George Sillett
        • 8 Years
        4 years, 5 months ago

It doesn't "bother me" , it rather defies logic . I am trying to establish the reasoning why people consider selling so quickly without the full facts.

        1. soup natsi
          • 9 Years
          4 years, 5 months ago

the 'logic' is obvious to anyone who knows game mechanics, highly-owned player is subbed off injured, it's called opportunity. it clearly bothers you from a team value perspective.

          1. George Sillett
            • 8 Years
            4 years, 5 months ago

Ah you're working on an assumption based on pure speculation. Team value doesn't bother me one jot . The logic is sound. Why rid yourself of player before knowing the full extent of the injury ? That is illogical.

            1. soup natsi
              • 9 Years
              4 years, 5 months ago

he was subbed off at half time, and that was because he couldn't continue. these are facts, not speculation.

he himself said 'not bad as feared', and feared looked like broken bones, so your reading of 'potential bruising' is an assumption based on pure speculation. and I don't see people actually selling right now, but obviously talk is taking him out. purely logical.

              1. George Sillett
                • 8 Years
                4 years, 5 months ago

I never denied that he was subbed off at HT - that ia a fact. Your reference to "not as bad as feared looked like broken bones" is speculation on your part . Potential bruising is not an assumption , just a possibility . Look at the string of posts above and decide for yourself whether there is a bit of a fire sale going on or if you continue in denial re this look at fpl statistics to see how many are selling.

                  4 years, 5 months ago

Again, why does that bother you? If people are making illogical decisions isn't that better for level-headed masters like you who can separate facts and speculation and keep him?

                    • 8 Years
                    4 years, 5 months ago

Yet again you are completely missing the point. Where did I say it bothered me ? My post was based on factual evidence . Please don't demean yourself by introducing terms such as " level-headed masters such as you " . Patronising shite such as that makes you look like a real kock.

                    1. soup natsi
                      • 9 Years
                      4 years, 5 months ago

Well you made two posts questioning why would anyone sell, it does look like you're bothered. Questioning other people's decision-making is the definition of patronising, and that's why I am bothered.

                      1. George Sillett
                        • 8 Years
                        4 years, 5 months ago

Again you're working on assumptions " it does look like you're bothered " - an opinion only , no fact. "Questioning other people's decision making"is precisely that and so can how that be defined as patronising ? ( it's just a question based around logic ) Your previous reply is an example of patronising. Big difference.

    Assuming Tammy is injured...

Tammy + Cantwell to Pulisic + 5.2 striker for bench (? Ayew / go greenwood and have spare cash).

Have Party and Jimmy and not keen on another striker really to continue 343!!

Yes or No? If yes who to get as bench striker?

Looking to WC to this, has a few variables:

    Hendo, 4.0
    Williams, Lundy, Robbo, Soy, Tomori
    Alli, Mane, Moutinho, KDB, Dend,
    Kane, Vardy, Jimi.

    Thoughts?

      Looking good.
      Like the Alli pick.
Mouthino gives you options around 4th mid- good spot to play with punts!
      Any money left?

        .2 remaining.

I’ve had a rethink though and maybe this is Better?

        Hendo, 4.0
        Williams, Lundy, Guilbert, Soy, Tomori
        Son, Mane, Perez, KDB, Dend,
        Kane, Vardy, Jimi.

        .5 itb

I agree with losing TAA- controversial I know, but Liv def is overpriced and over-rated (VVD owner since gw1)
However, with 0.5 itb, you can do better than Perez..

            Tielemens instead is Poss.

How many games would Tammy have to be out for before you would consider selling him?

I think 2 or maybe even 3 at a stretch.

    1. George Sillett

Depends on your bench. I have each week atm one of Tomori , Soy or Lundstram to pick so I guess for 3 GW's I could easily ride it out.

Not wishing the lad any misfortune or anything but it would really spice things up in the forward line if he is out for a while.

I was late enough moving for Tammy myself and secured his services for £7.4m so i would have a lower threshold than you have WR before i would consider dumping him.

With that much value tied up in him it would be hard to sell unless he is out for 3 games or more.

Depends on what price you bought him at. A lot of people have decent benches at the mo so could handle at least 2 games out

Not buying that. All the best players in the world play twice per week. Mane seems to have done pretty well so far doing it. Salah top FPL pts scorer last 2 seasons playing every game, twice per week. It's only an extra 90m of running around a week.

I have suffered a few rib injury's in my time from hard falls and you might fine an hour or two after the injury but when you wake up in the morning you will know all about it.

If he cracked/bruising a lower rib then he will be dam sore for a few days and maybe could play past the pain barrier in no less that 5 to 7 days depending what kind of pain he can put up with.

It looked like a hard fall to me so my guess is he will miss one game and make the bench for the Villa game.

Leicester defends properly, Chelsea can´t defend and Spurs also tingly at the back. Aurier the one with higher ceiling but also comes with a risk of a brain fart. Soyuncu and Aurier for me, but really a coin toss.

    What everyone’s take on Fleck?

Thinking of doing Doug Luiz > Fleck.

Sheffield has a very nice run of fixtures and could be a good diff off the beach if Tammy was deemed out this GW. Big if though lol.

Was thinking the same until someone on here mentioned SHU not being so attacking which is true. But that has definitely improved in the last few weeks. Fleck is a really good differential imo
