Newcastle United’s players are assessed as we continue with our series of team-by-team refresher articles ahead of the Fantasy Premier League resumption in June.

Looking firstly at data from the six Gameweeks that took place immediately before the suspension of play in March, we will also venture further back in time where relevant to highlight any season-wide trends.

Steve Bruce’s side are not the most glamorous outfit and goals have been very hard to come by in 2019/20, although only five clubs have registered more clean sheets.

Most Fantasy managers who are in the market for a Newcastle player, then, will be gravitating towards the Magpies’ defensive assets.

        currently on possible wc in 36 setting up for a bb in 37 and then fh in 38 loading up on players and teams who are playing for something.

          BB in 31 would have been the best with my squad but Henderson won't be playing so no. 37 looks like the next best time. But that's for me, not everyone.

    I have no WC. Should I:
    (A.) play my FH in GW30 (and then revert to this team for GW31).
    (B.) BB in GW30 and treat the unlimited FTs as an extra WC and set my team up for the remainder of the season.

        Nope no Salah - Mane could be salah tbh. Basically it’s either one Liverpool mid or Aguero, for this week and moving forward. Although it would be quite straight forward to make the switch with 2 ft or a -4 I guess

        I think it's the best time to BB while a lot of teams still have something to play for. The lineups will become more unpredictable as the season goes on imo. You can also combine it with unlimited transfers to get the best out of it.

          Disagree, there is no numerical advantage bb this week to any other weeks. I also think under the current circumstances it maybe better to wait and see which teams and players play better and then can use the chips more wisely

          Not sure on Arsenal line up likelihood - if it seemed the consensus was Ozil plays both then I reckon it’s worth the risk on the former. Jimi is the one reliable pick out of all of them though

    Mount instead of Ozil (3rd Arsenal player) a reasonable pick for this GW?
