Salah returns to Klopp’s starting XI and carries captaincy hopes of millions

The penultimate fixture of Gameweek 15 sees Liverpool defend their 66-match unbeaten league run at home against a West Bromwich Albion side led by the last manager to taste success at Anfield.

Sam Allardyce, whose Crystal Palace side were victorious on Merseyside in April 2017, takes charge of the Baggies for the second time today.

Kick-off is at 16:30 GMT.

The headline team news sees the most-captained player of Gameweek 15, Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) return to the Liverpool starting line-up after his benching last weekend.

The Egyptian was transferred in by over 500,000 Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of Saturday’s deadline, swelling his ownership figure to over 45%.

Around 2.4 million FPL bosses handed him the armband for this fixture, with just over 100,000 of us using their Triple Captain chip on FPL’s most expensive asset.

Curtis Jones (£4.4m) is also recalled to the Reds’ team, with the benched Takumi Minamino (£6.0m) and the absent Naby Keita (£5.2m) making way.

Keita misses out with a “fitness issue”.

Allardyce’s only change from the 3-0 home defeat by Aston Villa is an enforced one.

Callum Robinson (£5.4m) returns in place of Jake Livermore (£4.7m), who is suspended.

Matheus Pereira (£5.6m) is available again after serving his own three-match ban and is among the substitutes.

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Fabinho, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Robertson, Jones, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

West Brom XI: Johnstone, Furlong, Gibbs, Ajayi, Robinson, Phillips, Diangana, Gallagher, Sawyers, O’Shea, Grant.

      Matip was on the pitch a total of 60+ minutes today, including the added time in the first half and the pre match ceremonies. I would sue FPL if I were a Matip owner.

      It’s pretty ridiculous to go with the ”Matip owners knew the risk” IMO. Yeah he is injury prone but how often do you see a player injured and taken off 30 seconds before a CS? That’s just a tough blow for owners, don’t pretend something else

        Nah. FPL is a medium to long-term game. Matip was never a 1 week punt for many. Bringing him in as a known injury-risk was always a poor play.

          Just like people bringing in Antonio now for DGW19. Guy is also an injury risk and so if you bring him in you have to accept he might let you down by being injured.

            I think it was for many who transfered Chilwell out for him, like me. Accepting he let’s you down by being injured is maybe applicable of he doesn’t make the matchday squad at all. 30 seconds away is just unlucky regardless of how you put it

        Really pithy to say, but depends who you TC. 2 games from Salah like today and you’ll be struggling to match even a pretty poor bench who play twice

        A good bench boost will outscore all but an insanely good triple captain whatever week you play them. You get 1 of each. If BB 19 outscores TC 19, it doesn’t mean it was the right move for every team. A good BB in 26 also outscores anything but a ridiculous TC score. Same goes for every week.

      Button -- Stones -- Justin -- Brewster and 0.6m ITB

      Happy with rest of team, but feel that BB19 may not be viable. All of that money would likely go to upgrading Button!

              First instinct is FH18 and BB19 or TC19 if BB does not look worth it given such a low TV/SV.

              But if I know I won't do BB I could alsso have BGW players on that above bench instead and avoid FH18.Less likely though.

          Didn't own DCL until he was 7.8, had Mitrovic, Wilson, Soucek, C.Taylor, McCarthy all from the start who basically all went down or stayed the same. I'm sure there are others too.
