Scoutcast Episode 363 – Everton on the radar as Kane joins the injury list

Joe and Seb are joined by Ted to look at the key issues facing Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of Gameweek 21.

This latest Scoutcast episode proved a rollercoaster for Joe, Seb and their guest Ted, from TedTalks FPL, taking place during Thursday night’s eventful clash between Tottenham and Liverpool.

With Son Heung-min (£9.8m) and Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) goals ruled out, a haul for Sadio Mane (£11.8m) and an injury, possibly for weeks, to Harry Kane (£11.3m), there was plenty for our trio to mull over.

As the only Mane owner of the three, Joe struggled to contain his excitement in particular.

But where now for the Gameweek 21 captaincy, especially as Kane had been penciled in by many FPL managers to receive the armband ahead of Spurs encounter with Brighton?

Everton’s returning assets could be the answer. Dominic Calvert Lewin (£7.6m), Lucas Digne (£6.0) and James Rodriguez (£7.7m) are among Toffees stars to return from injury ahead of a kind run of games.

Ted’s already tripled up on Carlo Ancelotti’s troops and Joe and Seb are keen to invest too.

A key factor in Ted’s bold move has been his analysis from his statistical graphs over recent matches. Armed with a quintet of graphical delights he takes the Scoutcast team through his latest thoughts on chance creation to clean sheet probability.

His charts also help him to pick a differential, following some recent successes for the show, thanks to West Ham and Manchester City’s low owned gems.

Seb has some intriguing thoughts on attacking defenders, especially with new management and tactics at Chelsea.

Meanwhile, the crew reveal their transfers and fresh captaincy thoughts ahead Gameweek 21 as well as consider the latest high-fliers on the fixture ticker.

                    Haha it’s probably a trap, but Burnley are quite poor away, Werner rested and it’s easier to get in vardy or Kane in a few weeks if I have a pricey forward

    Kane injury is the biggest break I've had for a while. Going Kane and Son-less every week has been horrible watching when Spurs counter. Now the 6m I had spare for the Kane upgrade can go on Son, Trent and loads more upgrades in prep for BB26

      Personally think TAA is too reactionary. He's not even been close to justifying his 7.3 price tag this season and with Matip now out long term clean sheets will be even harder to come by.

        I go on form...last night he was given licence to roam and it worked very well. Away at Hammers on that big pitch looks good again and I have cash to burn. Cleanies bar Man City are totally unpredictable so I'd rather have him or a Digne all day.

        - Played Saka (13) over ESR (2) (Had them the other way around on the bench last week in case Saka played LB).
        - Trent (11) was second on my bench, but came into my XI for injured Tierney after his goal and assist.
        - 74pts, with a GR of 4,424
        - Rising 704k places to 646k
        - Rising 2.83m places in 7GWswithout using chips
        - Gained 103pts on my ML leader in 2 GWs (Now only 31pts behind)

      -8 is irrelevent, question is Kane to DCL for a hit or not. Answer depends on who you would field instead and what other transfers you'd block by using next week's FT instead

      Enjoy listening to these Az. Question for you, how come you only use this site to promote blackbox and don't engage more in discussions on here? Is there some sort of agreement with all the scouts to only use twitter as a platform now? Seems really strange to me when so many seem to be on the payroll

    If I've done my maths correctly, there are 524,288 teams left in the FPL Cup. I am one of them. So my chance of drawing Irbox is 524,287 to 1 = 0.0002%.

          Only because I think it will be an open game. Agreed Leeds could win the game but I see goals - hence the Barnes pick. I also like a risk - sometimes it works, other times (like this season) it doesn't!

          I just wanted to mix it up.

          I was going to get a maximised 15 man squad with Salah and Sterling etc and go for it! But I may hold fire - for now!
