Fantasy Football Scout’s very own Mark Sutherns has been discussing his latest Fantasy Premier League (FPL) team draft with video regular Andy North over on our YouTube channel.

Mark explains his 3-5-2 set-up, premium midfielder choices and omission of Bruno Fernandes (£12.5m).

Andy throws his own selections under the spotlight, explaining his preference for a 3-4-3 and inclusion of Harvey Barnes (£7.0m).

    Need you input guys...would you rather:

    1) Have Ruben dias + benrahma, or a 4.0 def + grealish/foden?

    2) Take a punt on Wilson over Watkins, or no?

    3) Bench Wilson/watkins, Toney or Benrahma for gw1?

      1, Yes to Dias and Benrahma. 2, that’s what I did as soon as Ings arrived, not as convinced by Watkins as I was before. 3) very tough, probably Toney but it’s the riskiest as his ownership is so high if he starts well you’ll be in trouble but if he blanks you’ll be ahead of the pack presuming others in your side score better

    Would you rather start with
    Harrison (no other Leeds attack)
    Benrahma (double with Antonio)
    Can’t stretch to a 6.5, Benrahma has the fixtures and the form/confidence, Harrison more nailed on and avoids a double up

      Maybe get Harrison after gw4...till then Benrahma is a good choice according to me and although Leeds are an attacking team, they have fairly tough fixtures

    £4m defender alert!

    Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers says defender Wesley Fofana will be out until NEXT YEAR with an ankle injury suffered during Wednesday's friendly against Villarreal.

    Rodgers tells BBC Radio Leicester: "He will play in 2022 at some time. Unfortunately the ligament damage is quite bad. He is in great spirits, he wants to stay here in and be around his team-mates.

    "Sometimes players want to go back to their country, but he is staying here. He has an operation on Monday and his recovery will start there."

    On his replacement Daniel Amartey: "Whatever I have asked Daniel Amartey to do he has always done so with great commitment. His attitude is first class and he's very much a team player. He was outstanding."

          And Amartey was solid today, I didn't notice him making any mistakes. Having 4.0 starting Lei def even for short term is simply like putting money itb. There is always risk of GW3 WC anyway, even though GW7 might look better now.

      I think a TAA Shaw 5.0 4.0 4.0 backline is an option to start the season in a 3ATB formation.

      Amartey and Omobam both look set to start the season and will be a good way to free up some funds

          Gundogan without KdB is at least as good option as Mahrez imho. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mahrez dropped soon if he doesn't improve his game. "When in doubt, pick the cheaper option."

      Because if you have 2 keepers, you can only have one outfield player. Brighton might start surprisingly well and you want a 4.5 defender, cheap midfielder and a cheap striker.

      Very very rank today were Watford apparently - just a friendly but given it was Palace (below strength at that) it's as good a form guide as there can be in preseason. Conceded three and every report I've read says that was what they deserved.

      Both Pukki and Toney is too risky for me. Both could drop in value quick. Mahrez not nailed, bench weak. 7.5/10

    Jota, Greenwood, Barnes, Gundogan, Mahrez

    These are most likely short term picks in really deep squads (competition is injured short term or has limited preseason, etc). You probably know they are risky. Starting with none is careful; maybe one for some fun, two at most for high risk...

    But three+? Oh boy. I guess an early wildcard is becoming the template

    And yes, they'll all probably fly off the charts in GWs 1 and 2. I guess that's the problem

    If this catches on as a bandwagon... Being careful can leave one chasing

        Nacho, Daka, 3-5-2 (Rodgers can switch on a dime, and that's actually what won tonight's match), known to be streaky, gets subbed off early, and no brilliant right winger to force Rodgers to stay with wingers and leave Nacho + Daka out of the starting XI consistently

        Not saying he won't play. Just that he will always carry that risk unless major injuries happen

      Yeah i think so, ownership alone is huge. Itll be hard to move up if he rakes in pts like last year and you dont have him.

        The only reason ownership is huge is because he was insane value at 4.5 last season. Just wait till this season's 4.5 keeper steps up and ownership will drop
