Merry Christmas from Fantasy Football Scout

Everyone at Fantasy Football Scout would like to wish a very happy and healthy Christmas to all our readers and their loved ones.

We hope that you’re enjoying the festivities – at least, as much as a relentless Fantasy Premier League (FPL) schedule allows.

We can’t completely ignore the looming FPL deadline, of course, given that there’s a very swift turnaround between Gameweeks.

And we’ve got more Gameweek 19 articles to come today, from Captain Sensible to Scout Picks.

There’ll be a team news round-up later in the evening, too.

Until then, we’d like to extend a huge thank you for your continued support and patronage of the site throughout 2023.

There’ll be a more prolonged retrospective in the traditional New Year’s message but, from all at Fantasy Football Scout, we wish you a very merry Christmas.

      Happy Christmas mate, I’m having a similar debate between doubling up on spurs defence with Porro and Udogie or playing Gabriel.

      I really think the odds are underestimating West Ham (I am a West Ham fan so maybe biased) because Arsenal’s weakness lately seems to be on zinchenko’s side which is where Kudus and Bowen cause the most problems.

      If you had to choose one I’d say porro x

    Last GW is hard to swalllow.. What a nightmare. Had Gabriel and archer benched who made over 50% og the points my playing team did..

    Now stuck with the below:

    Dubravka
    Gabriel - Zinny - Porro
    Salah - Gordon - Saka - son
    Archer - watkins - Darwin
    (Areola - adingra - tsimi* - lascelles*)

    What to do? Want to keep cash to have a nice route to Haaland next GW. If I have to do that with one transfer it is Watkins->haaland and want to keep watkins as well…

    Chelsea and Man Utd. Two of the highest PL spenders in the last decade and two clubs with managers who are trying to impose their favoured playing style rather than playing to the strengths (however limited) of their players.

      Managers are given transfer funds to buy players who fit their style. Not like they weren't backed in the market. Poch may have had too many new players/injuries to gel immediately but Ten Hag has had enough time to perfect a style but United remain unpredictable.

    Christmas is a great time for gratitude.

    Me? I am grateful to still have my wildcard to play next week. A gift from my past self that didn’t sheep all the content creators in gameweeks 4-8.

    Interesting now creators barely make videos on wildcards for 18/19/20. So jelly of us forward planners. So jelly.

    I will also say that the FFS transfer planner google sheet has been fantastic!
