Merry Christmas from Fantasy Football Scout

Everyone at Fantasy Football Scout would like to wish a very happy and healthy Christmas to all our readers and their loved ones.

We hope that you’re enjoying the festivities – at least, as much as a relentless Fantasy Premier League (FPL) schedule allows.

We can’t completely ignore the looming FPL deadline, of course, given that there’s a very swift turnaround between Gameweeks.

And we’ve got more Gameweek 19 articles to come today, from Captain Sensible to Scout Picks.

There’ll be a team news round-up later in the evening, too.

Until then, we’d like to extend a huge thank you for your continued support and patronage of the site throughout 2023.

There’ll be a more prolonged retrospective in the traditional New Year’s message but, from all at Fantasy Football Scout, we wish you a very merry Christmas.

    Got 2 FT.... Would like to use one up, and then focus on getting Haaland back in GW 20.... Any tips or strategies to start with?

    Downgrade Saka to Richarlison perhaps?
    As I'll then downgrade Son after to make funds available for Haaland?

        As much as people will be against Saka, I thought moving him to Richarlison is a move I wud do anyway as he wud by my Spurs cover for when Son goes... And then downgrade Son further once I'm ready for Haaland.

      You have little cover for rotation.
      Many will say move Martinelli but I say move Tsimi who will have no use to you in the future.
      Who to go to is the question.
      On a WC changes a few things and news needed on Haaland. In your case you will have money so get Trent IMO.

      If you are wildcarding next week you can be a bit punty and you can sort Tsimikas out next week anyway - hit the button and get him gone immediately to minimise money loss.

      Martinelli to someone would work. I wouldn't necessarily go Saka but he's not a bad shout.

      I'd do Saliba to Trent though.

    Ben White is on 4 yellow.
    If he does not get a YC in 19 then the threshold goes up to 10 bookings starting in the beginning of GW20 right?

    Or does he get suspended if he get a YC either in gw19 OR gw20 ?

      It's based on league games, not GWs. Coincidentally Arsenal 19th league game is on GW19. Man City, Brentford, Luton and Bournemouth have played 1 game less

              Having Salah dilutes the effects of his massive captaincy on your rank

              Maybe spend the FT elsewhere or burn it? Salah to Haaland definitely feels like a GW20 move, not GW19

              Maybe someone in the midfield to Richarlison or a GK switch

          Livramento has to go, and Senesi has cemented himself as the best long-term at that price, but is still being overlooked

          Don't mind doubling up on Villa defence this season, tbh... Especially against the current Man U attack

    Plan was Tsimikas to Gabriel, Saliba to Bratihwait and Solanke to Haaland. Tsimikas fall last night means I am 0.1 out now. Watkins to Haaland and keep double Arsenal defence? Any 4 or 3.9 defenders who play and do well? I am so annoyed with myself I was fannying around yesterday and decided to wait until today before pulling the trigger
