Hi guys, like most here, struggling with injury woes. Trent thrown a spanner in the works but blessing in disguise can use him as a cash cow?

Team as it stands now is:

    Areola
    Gabriel - Baldock - Porro
    Son* - Palmer - Saka - Foden
    Archer - Watkins - Solanke
    ____________________________
    Dubravka: Branthwaite: Salah: TAA

    1FT, 4.3 ITB

TAA + Son > Estupinan + Richarlison for a hit?

Then either Archer or Solanke > Haaland the week after?

    Sound plan?
    Any help much appreciated 🙂

Just do the Son > Rich. You have defensive cover in Branth. TAA could be back GW22 and you'll need him again.

    Areola (Dubravka)
    TAA* Saliba Porro (Tsmikas* Taylor)
    Richy Foden Palmer Bowen (Son*)
    Watkins Alvarez Solanke

I did Salah to Bowen but have another FT

Tsimakas, Son > Estupinan, Saka -4 look okay?

Leaves 7.4 ITB to get Haaland next week

      -8pts for me this GW,
Breaks my team massively, but Son, Salah and Bowen need to be moved on.
Rather take the hits now than wait for 4 GW's and have nothing in between.

From the Athletic- looking at month on sidelines

“Bowen, who scored his 14th goal in all competitions during a 1-1 draw against Bristol City, had to be assisted off the field by two members of the physio team, having injured his left ankle.

The 27-year-old is expected to be out for at least one month with the issue, in what will be a blow to manager David Moyes, with Bowen leading the way as West Ham’s top scorer this season.”

            This above ^
I have taken 28pts in hits so far and doing OK.
Also had 174 bench points, which is down to some bad judgement!
Sitting with 10 or 11 players is no fun in this game. Also, if you only have 10 players you are potentially -4 regardless.

Been busy all day so just absorbing the TAA and Bowen news now. That means I have around 40m in players not available for the next 2-3 GW's at least.

      Pick 2 from Foden/Ødegaard/Groß.

Foden has the form but is a rotation risk in the medium term.
Øde has lovely underlying stats but Arsenal are looking toothless.
Groß has good stats and great fixtures, but Brighton blow hot and cold.

Gross is this week or not imo, Ødegaard if you think Arsenal can turn it around, Foden for me is a wait, partly because I see New away, with them having a much better rest, I can see City having trouble with Newcastle high intensity. But I know I'm pretty solumn in that view, most people judge their City assets from Liverpool game.
So I would maybe do Gross and wait til next week to do Foden or maybe Doku pops up and becomes the better pick, if your team can cope this week. That is

It's probably the old gambler's fallacy, but I think Arsenal HAVE to turn a corner soon, right?!

I reckon City are going to do their usual New Year hot streak, and can see Foden being desperate to impress. Of course, I'd rather have KDB, but not until he's playing regularly.

Another option is Jota, but I think Liverpool may struggle with two of their best players out.

Richarlison has hurt me too many times in the past...

      Whom should I sell?

      1. Maguire (4.2), whom I already lost 0.1 on and is projected to fall again soon. However he seems to be close to returning from injury (assuming he gets his place back).
      2. Lascelles (4.1), who's at breakeven, not expected to fall but unlikely to play regularly anymore.

I suppose it has to be Maguire, doesn't it

It's borderline, but TAA is a quick recoverer. Even if fit in time, there is a risk he'll come on as sub vs Chelsea as there is quite a quick turnaround for the Arsenal game, but it's also a possibility, if we put on the positive lenses, that he can be ready for the FA cup game, which then could be the sub app before then starting the next two. He's a hold for me.

Well my current dilemma is Richy away to Manure or Watkins away to Everton

In my mind same chance of a return so take the mid given more points for a goal plus the outside chance for a CS point too.

However there will be another injury in the carling cup or FA cup replays so a moot point

      Help needed.

      Areola
      Estupinan, Porro, Zinchenko*
      Bowen*, Saka, Richarlison, Palmer
      Alvarez, Watkins, Solanke
      (Dubravka, Taylor*, Lascelles, Son*)
      0fts. 12.1itb.

I went early on Salah to Bowen. I've just sold Trent for Estupinan with my 2nd ft on the outside chance Bowen is back. I probably should have fixed Bowen instead in hindsight, and played Taylor.

      A) Bowen to Foden
      B) Son to Foden (lose 0.3)
      C) Roll and hope Bowen is back.

Unfortunately think I'm gonna have to make an early WC, would have to take at minimum a -8 just to field 10/potentially 11.. would you change anything on this WC? Leaves me with 13.7m in the bank for Salah/Taa/Haaland etc.. seems daft but not sure who else I'd pick in those positions, some good differentials too.

        Areola
        Estup - Porro - Saliba
Saka - Foden - Gross - Palmer - Luis Diaz
        Watkins - J Pedro

Why? I don't have any premiums? The only two players over 8m are Watkins and Saka.

I've swapped Diaz out for Richarlison and money in the bank is £14.1m.

People getting upset when their players get injured is one of my favourite parts of fpl

Thinking of holding both Salah and TAA on my bench due to so many players out (which I can transfer out instead).

Tempted by Bowen to Garnacho and Taylor to Estu - then I can still afford Haaland next week with Salah and TAA on bench ready for their returns.

        Thoughts?

Did Salah > Foden start of week before what has become a 0.3m price swing but that should be that. Salah won't drop much more so bench him till his return.
