Pre-Season

Additional Chelsea players handed FPL prices

A whole host of Chelsea players have been added to the Fantasy Premier League price list.

Strikers Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi have both been involved heavily in the Blues’ pre-season campaign and Fantasy managers have been eagerly anticipating their price reveals.

With Olivier Giroud at £7.0m, the price makers at FPL towers have ensured there is no way of comparing Chelsea forwards on cost by bringing both Abraham and Batshuayi in at £7.0m as well.

It is still unclear which of the three centre-forwards is the standout forward for Chelsea thus far so Fantasy managers should keep tracking their minutes on the Pre-season Page.

Meanwhile, FPL have also announced three more Chelsea players in Mason Mount (£6.0m), Kenedy (£5.5m) and Kurt Zouma (£5.0m).

The future of the latter remains up in the air with Everton hoping to bring him back to Goodison Park after an impressive spell in 2018/19.

We recently published a Members’ article on Zouma’s importance to the Toffees which you can READ HERE.

Whether the £5.0m proves a price worth paying may depend on which he club he ends up comitting too.

If he returns to Everton then he will be much more assured of a start than he would be at Stamford Bridge.

Other additions include Aston Villa right-back Frederic Guilbert (£4.5m) and Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster (£4.5m).

Really need a couple of games to assess Chelsea assests. Given everyone is 7m or under it should be easy to get them in if someone emerges.

Potentially for one week only. GW2 is City away and GW3 Son is back.

    Brewster at 4.5.

If he looks like he’s going to start the season he could be a steal but I want Salah, VVD and TAA.

That's the thing. It would be a waste of a precious Liverpool spot. Easier with Greenwood or Nketiah as you're unlikely to want to triple up with their clubs.

Agreed. If he looks like the real deal though and gets a good run of games he’ll be impossible to ignore. Like Sterling a few years ago.

Hi everyone, RMT with Salah, Sterling and Kane:

    Ryan, Button

    Thanks a lot!

I like it. But I'd think about downgrading Digne to Coleman and do Diop and Kelly to 2 rotating 4.5s. Otherwise your going to have no playing subs

I don't think Kelly will play that much - 3rd choice centre-back (possibly 4th, behind Dann) and will probably be behind Ward in the pecking-order at right-back

The Super Cup might help us with that one but I think he's done himself no harm at all in these friendlies so far. Obvious Lamps likes him and I think he's going to be his golden boy. He looks the real deal

The Super Cup is between GWs 1 & 2, so won't help picking a starting team.

I’ll potentially look to downgrade if either of him and Matip look nailed. Could be a good cash cow for any midfielders that hit ford and require a bit of extra cash.

Unlikely against Spurs, but we've got a good run of fixtures after GW1 (esp at home) so I reckon a couple of the Villa DF's offer decent value at 4.5m. The Villa DF valuations expose very poor valuation strategy in the FPL this season though.....they are all priced at 4.5m!

Tielemans > Perez imo until more information about Perez' role. Tielemans guaranteed 90 mins and returns.

Sorry, misunderstood. Thought you were asking for a 5m benchie.
Prob with your Starting XI is the poss of Zouma and Zinkers being rotated. So you do need viable 4.5s to step up.

If Palace were to lose Zaha I think they'd be a candidate for the relegation dogfight. As it stands however, I have it as a five-way-flutter between the three promoted sides, Brighton and Newcastle. Think Hasenhuttl is too good a manager for Southampton to drop.

    18. Sheffield United.
    19. Brighton.
    20. Norwich.

Predicting this, is it then counter-intuitive to consider drafting Ryan as my set-and-forget keeper?

Think exactly the same bottom 2. Between Sheffield United, and Newcastle for the last spot.

Honestly I would say a 5m keeper and coleman will get more points than Ryan and Digne for example.
But it depends who Going to be Burnleys No.1

Those will be the bottom 5 as you say, so yes it's daft to get Ryan. If saints are too good, Gunn is a decent pick. If Burnley will be safe, Pope's value at 4.5.

Anybody going for Maddison? Or are Perez/Tielemans still the favourites round here.

I'm still unsure and probably will be until the season starts. I don't think any them will produce big numbers in the first couple of GW's. Might be best to wait and see.

I found a spare 0.5 this morning and converted Teilemans to Maddy, but then I spent it again.
Basically, Maddy is a better pick, but he's worth 0.25m more than the other 2. There's really nothing in it, value-wise.

I’m also tempted to go with him because of the price point. 7 would allow a switch to any of the other Leicester mids as well as Zaha/FAnderson.

I get what your saying with value though, can see it in all of them.

A 100% if he was nailed. No.10 role at Chelsea for 6m, thatd be cause for a celebration

If nailed, A indeed. By far. The "nailed" part is the issue though.

£65m+ is nothing for a team who are pushing for CL
