Your chance to turn €2.70 into €100k in FanTeam’s Gameweek 37-38 SCOFF

Sponsored by FanTeam

The 2020/21 finish line is in sight and the long slog is almost over.

FPL mini-leagues may be close to being settled already, while realistic ambitions of overall ranks will replace dreams of a top 1k finish.

But there is still one last chance to salvage a huge cash win from this topsy-turvy Premier League season.

That’s because FanTeam’s Spring Championship of Online Fantasy Football (SCOFF) is getting ever closer.

Running over Gameweeks 37 and 38, the SCOFF has a massive €500,000 prize pool and the manager finishing in first will scoop a life-changing €100,000.

How does SCOFF work ?

Following recent changes to the fixture schedule, the SCOFF will now begin on Wednesday, May 18 and run over Gameweeks 37 and 38.

The two weeks will run independently of one another so entrants will pick two separate teams for each week. Effectively, it’s like being given two back-to-back Free Hit chips in FPL.

How to qualify

The final buy-in is €1,100 (£990) but there are many ways to get involved for much less money.

The large majority of the final entrants will have come from feeder events called ‘satellites’, which will be running until the tournament starts.

Three steps to Scoff

FanTeam have created a three-step system that gives users the chance to qualify for as little as €2.70 (£2.48).

  • Step 1: Start your journey for €2.70 (£2.48) and battle it out to qualify for step 2
  • Step 2: Worth €55 (£49.50), you can either buy in directly or qualify from step 1
  • Step 3: You have made it to the €1,100 (£990) SCOFF!

It’s not just through Fantasy football tournaments that you can qualify, either. Satellites are running in a range of different sports, from NBA to NHL.

If you fancy a more direct route, look out for the direct satellites starting from as low as €11 (£9.90).

All the satellite tournaments can be found in the FanTeam lobby via the below link:

HEAD TO THE FANTEAM LOBBY HERE

Turn €2.70 into €100k

With so many routes to qualify for the SCOFF, there is every chance that FanTeam could see a winner that qualified for as little as €2.70 (£2.48).

Last November, FanTeam user fscottl showed how it can be done by qualifying for the WCOFF for €2 and walking away with a first prize of €30,000.

Got 0.5 ITB. Thoughts on Schmeichel and Rudiger to McCarthy and Magure?

Have Forster who has been promised both doubles but getting McCarthy guarantees a playing keeper for 36 and frees up cash for Maguire.

Why would you get a keeper that definitely blanks for the next two?

I'm removing Schmeichel that doesn't play in 36 and getting a cheaper keeper (McCarthy) who can sit on bench in 35 with Forster playing. Hasenhuttl said Forster plays next 2 (double week) and McCarthy (2 after that) so would mean I'm covered for 35 and 36.

I'm not delighted about selling Schmeichel this week but does have it's benefits of allowing Maguire and covering blank week too.

Because he has the alternative keeper, Forster, who has only been told he'll play the next 2. They obviously just rotate with eachother.

Looks fairly decent if you have nothing pressing with your attackers and can field a full 11 in 36.

Not sure I'd do Rudi -> Maguire for -4 (which it effectively is then if you need a hit the following week). Could definitely work out though, tough call. Even if Maguire scores 4 more points and you break even means you have 1m less cash.

think its a good move - fixes 36 and Rudi could easily get rested in one of the games (much like Maguire)

Thanks. My thinking as I really can't see Rudiger playing twice and even if he does the fixtures are very tough. Can see him playing City then sitting out Arsenal which would be a nightmare.

Slightly at a loss here is Alonso, Vydra > Holgate, Watkins the best transfer this week for my BB?

    Mendy
    Alonso, Shaw, Castagne
    Salah, Son, Jesse, Bruno, Jota
    Kane, Nacho

    (Forster, Vydra, Philips, Dallas)

Unfortunately 0.1 off Coleman at £4.9m. The only other option ive really seen is Ward for Palaces nice fixtures against Shef and Southampton

I was thinking it’s crazy to transfer out son this week but the more I think about 1) only 1 game 2) Leeds better defensively 3) I can just do 1 transfer of him to greenwood who has potentially 3 games then carry over 1 FT next week?

Son+Kane owner myself. Probably dropping son for Greenwood or Rashford, pending tonights lineup/injuries. Easy swap back for 36 as I only have 0.1 value tied in him.

      And i'd rather keep Kane.

I freehit GW36 so no problem with the keeper.

3 days between the games for CP - so if he doesn't play both - can you think of a better option?

You're the 2nd person who said no to double Chelsea attack, but Chelsea haven't secured CL football yet, so I think they'll play a strong team - however, can you think of a suitable replacement for Werner?

JWP decent option but not sexy pick. Maddison option too. Sigurdsson perhaps on pens
Think Mount is the most reliable Chelsea attacker

oof gw36 team is grim already given i have triple leicester, double chelsea def and no keeper.. sacrificng Kane for 1week for funds and need a midfield spot for Bruno (going without 7 weeks ago has been great for rank, but not having him now is suicide)

    Who would you sacrifice;

    a) Maddison (NEW/mun & blank) - can't field full team in 36 so hit or blank
    b) Son (lee & WOL)

    1. Save FT.
    2. Salah -> Fernandes (c).
    3. Son-> Rashford.
    4. Son + Kane -> Fernandes (c) + DCL (-4).

    Martinez.
    Shaw, TAA, Digne.
    Salah, Jota, Greenwood, Son,
    Watkins, Ihaenacho, Kane.
    Steer, Lingard, Dallas, Burn.

Depends on if you'd play that keeper for the future games. If so the -4 could be worth it. Otherwise yeah I wouldn't bother if you think your FT gets you more points elsewhere.

Not sure on the -4 for goalie either.

Would have suggested Rudi + Son -> JWP + TAA myself. Even though I own Greenwood I'm not sure on his starts, he's expected to play tonight. JWP could always become Raphinha later too.

        Otherwise A looks fine.

Hey - once there are less than 6 weeks left we disable 6 game projections and just show season projections.

For the same set of numbers, I always advise using "Rate My Team" and then the "Players" subheading - that will always have the most up to date numbers (unlike Projections) and will always be visible.

Please comment on this WC draft with BB WG37 in mind:

      McCarthy-Forster
      TAA-Digne-Maguire-Holding-Vestergaard
      Salah-Bruno-Jota-Lingard-ASM
      DCL-Nacho-Watkins

      Plan:
      GW36: Nacho+Maguire to Kane+Diop
      GW37: Forster to Meslier

Who is the best referee in the Premier League?

Michael Oliver I think has the best rating. But Mike Dean, who I used to hate, is also pretty good since he knows how to lead games into being interesting with lots of advantages, doesn't let players win fouls easily etc.

        Digne

You have Utd defensive cover with Shaw already plus it removes the headache of gw36.

Thoughts on Alonso, Pereira, Kane & Son to Digne, Greenwood, DCL & Bruno(C) for -8?

Will do Bruno & Nacho to Kane & Gundo in GW36 for -4.

Moves look good in hindsight but uneasy with the -12 over two gws.

Looks good in theory but preplanning that many transfers ain't much fun and lots of hits.

Seems fine to me. With all the fixtures you gain, you've pretty much covered the hits just with appearance points.
