Win £10,000 for free with Fantasy5 by picking the best players for Gameweek 29

Sponsored by Fantasy5

There was a winner of the £10,000 Fantasy5 jackpot last week, with ‘Chazzastrip’ turning a free entry and a few clicks of a mouse into a lucrative payday.

All the lucky user had to do was correctly choose five Fantasy players to exceed their assigned points target in the Gameweek just gone – and that’s something you can do for Gameweek 29 by clicking here and entering for free.

Last season, Fantasy5 had one instance of back-to-back winners, so let’s see if history can repeat itself in Gameweek 29!

Image

This is a free-to-play weekly game, where there are various other prizes on offer beyond the whopping jackpot.

Fantasy5 has now migrated over to BoyleSports but the prizes remain as plentiful as ever and it’s still free to enter.

HOW TO PLAY

It’s as simple as this: pick five players from the nominated Gameweek 29 matches below and, if they all exceed their ‘points targets’ (a par score set by Fantasy5 for each asset), you’ll be in the money:

  • Brentford v Burnley
  • Man Utd v Spurs
  • Chelsea v Newcastle
  • West Ham v Aston Villa
  • Arsenal v Leicester

Even if you don’t succeed in getting all five right, Fantasy5’s leaderboard allows you to win prizes beyond the £10k jackpot.

We have selected our own picks for Gameweek 29, which can you can read below.

The deadline for this week’s entries is at 15:00 BST on Saturday 12 March.

You can even set up a mini-league and compete with colleagues, friends and family.

SCOUT’S GAMEWEEK 29 PICKS

Last week brought a higher-than-usual 11 players that successfully exceeded their points target and Gameweek 28 raised that even further to 14. Our picks were two short of joining ‘Chazzastrip’ amongst the jackpot, as Ryan Fraser, Jadon Sancho and Dejan Kulusevski were rightly backed.

First up this time is Burnley’s Connor Roberts (6.5), as it’s hard to back Brentford’s Ivan Toney into more than one goal involvement against Sean Dyche’s side. The Clarets kept four clean sheets from six matches between Gameweeks 23 and 26 but were destroyed by Chelsea in the second half last Saturday. Dyche will be adamant that they get back on track with an ugly win and Roberts has the attacking capabilities to also provide crosses for Wout Weghorst.

The last time Spurs travelled to Man United, it was a 6-1 win where Son Heung-min bagged two goals, an assist and 18 Fantasy Premier League (FPL). Even if he just delivers 50% of that, this weekend’s 7.5 points target will be eclipsed. Reece James would have been Chelsea’s pick against Newcastle United but has had another injury setback, so it now goes to fellow wing-back Marcos Alonso (7.5).

Pictured back in training, Alonso should recover from illness to face the Magpies and provide Thomas Tuchel with attacking width. Whilst at Chelsea, he has two goals and two assists from six appearances against Newcastle.

West Ham host Aston Villa and it is tough to call. Jarrod Bowen (8.5) is an injury doubt, Michail Antonio (6.5) has two league goals from 19 games, whilst Danny Ings (6.5) has never scored against the Hammers. Sticking with Steven Gerrard’s side, both Philippe Coutinho and Jacob Ramsey come with a 7.5 target that likely requires multiple attacking returns. Therefore, box-to-box midfielder John McGinn (6.5) might be the answer.

Finally, the injury to Jamie Vardy has cost him a chance to improve his impressive goal scoring record against Arsenal. Because of the high targets given to Alexandre Lacazette (9.5) and Gabriel Martinelli (9.5), perhaps Bukayo Saka (8.5) is the least bad option. He certainly has the form to justify this, having bagged six goals and three assists from his last ten league matches, including one of each at Watford last Sunday.

HOW DOES FANTASY5 WORK?

Image

Fantasy5 is easy to play as it follows the exact same scoring system as FPL, just without the bonus points.

It’s also the fastest media outlet for live Fantasy points, displaying all player points from the five games in question, as well as the live score and time.

For the more detailed lowdown, head here.

The competition is limited to one entry per person per round and selections must be submitted before kick-off of the first eligible match.

If two or more entrants correctly select five players who all score more than their points target, then the prize pot is split among all winners.

I think he drops out for Castagne and Pereira when fit

But if you want to kick the can down the road, he's fine. Strongly feel you can get better options from another team, though. Leicester defence is permanently in flux

Both are not first choice, but looks like their rivals for position all struggle, Ricardo, Justin, Fofaana and Evans.
If you only want for gw30 it looks like both are safe, but if you plan to bb later thry can pose you a problem.

Plan was to sell Foden to Son but this Bowen uncertainty made me sell him first. I wanted to keep him for 30. But not sure if he will be back and they dont have an easy fix.
Hope that Foden hauls this GW I guess

My final decision on wildcard is between Maddison and Barnes as Leicester player (for GW30)

Given their upcoming midweek Europa match, which is more likely to start GW30?

    1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 3 Years

I'd have concerns over Maddison's regularity of injuries of late, Barnes may still get a rest here and there but he's been playing regularly and is in form so I'd go with him

      1. FPL Emu

        Yeah makes sense I guess.

Maddison is just so explosive. And Barnes may be a bad performance away from the bench.

I’d go Barnes. Just don’t think Maddison can be relied on to stay fit.

An injury free Maddison is two levels above Barnes in Fpl. Keep an eye on strikers, could be a decent option as we now seen Daka start in El, they play Arsenal and then Rennes, Rodgers are hard to read in terms of team selection but it might come clearer after that Rennes game.

Problem with that is people give their opinions biased, Barnes played and scored lately, Maddison injured. If Maddison plays Arsenal, and comes away with Rennes. He is by far the best option. Barnes more dependent on Vardy, while Maddison produces better without, or not just as reliant.

Arsenals fixtures are a while lot better, and while 29 and 30 need not to be that difference between, the games after will probably save you a transfer down the line.

With tc around for Salah i think its a massive risk, all it takes is a stupid Brighton goal to whipe out 8 points.
But if you go for it, i am not agreeing with other here that Vvd out is a problem. As long as Matip and Gomez plays thats enough to keep any team out. Gomez is faster than Vvd, and Matip has been one of the best cb in the league this year. People act like Liverpool gonna play Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams, they're not.

For his owners its a problem, for Liverpool, not a big worry. We got Matip, which in this season has been the best or not far behind, cb in the league and Gomez was part of the best cb partnership in title season. There are some parts of the game you might loose with Dijk, long range pass to Salah, Mane, and his aereal prescence and threath in both boxes.

Since you put Cancelo bench i would pressume you rather want to play Jimenez.
Difficult choice, Everton-Wolves could be a goal fest, both teams are defending like arse atm. City are always in the mix for cs and cancelo grabs a assist thats 12 points. But Palace tend to make trouble for City, i think its because they have those like Zaha, Galla, Oliseh, and a compact cm with both pace and power (koyate, schlupp). Do remember, i am a Liverpool fan so i tend to look for possibilities for City to lose points-).

Yeh, i think those are down to gut feeling, i usually try to visualize how i predict the games, and then decide. The cons with Jimenez is the ceiling, its 8 or 9 at best. I had a page up with live commentary on for that Watford game and it said Podence goal and Jimmy assists, i was in dreamland and went to check my Jimenez score, but nothing hapoened, then i realized, its Jimenez, he does not get goals and assist in same game no matter what.

I think this one is hard to tell. If i take my Liverpool hat off for a while i guess Cancelo ceiling is higher. And the former Norwegian coach Drillo Olsen (the one who made us so good we won vs Brazil in 98) said once that statistically, if a team lets in 4 goals in their last match, they tend to not let in more than 1 in the next.
Leeds and Norwich have been constantly done the opposite this season, but i think Everton has shown lately that they are better home.

Is any of these moves a -8

    A) Livramento to Docherty
    B) Coutinho to Kulu

Have already done: Havertz & James to Saka & Robertson.

Rake hits in isolation. Livra- Doherty, You get one pretty good game for Livra this week, vs Doherty 3 games. Southampton shows sign of nearing the Beach state. Doherty will struggle to play 3 games in short period, but has very good attacking numbers.
Coutinho is 100% nailed, Kulu is pretty much first choice. One game more in 29 and 30. Arguably better fixtures after. VILLA does have a style of play that might be efficient against better teams. I think this one is a bit closer.
Di what you think is best, and look at each hit separately.

Would you? This will let me save FH to 33 and my WC to 31-35. BB36
Cancelo, Bilva, King, Mee > Doherty, Martinelli, Kane, White -12
