Dugout Discussion – Sunday – Part One

Sunday’s four matches get underway with a lunchtime double-header as champions Chelsea host Everton, while West Brom take on Stoke City at The Hawthorns.

Some Fantasy managers will be torn by the Stamford Bridge meeting. The Blues defence are well backed via Fantasy Premier League investment in David Luiz (25.9% ownership) and, of course, Marcos Alonso (18.2% ownership). T

he Spaniard heads into today’s contest off the back of his devastating two goals at Wembley against Spurs, having picked up over 245,000 new owners ahead of Gameweek 3.

However, Everton’s Wayne Rooney has also soared in popularity following back-to-back goals. He claims a 20.4% ownership ahead of the Chelsea clash and is the most popular captain pick on show in the early kick-offs: 93,000 have trusted him with the armband.

Meanwhile, at The Hawthorns, there is no question of the preferred outcome from a Fantasy perspective.

West Bromwich Albion will be seeking a third successive clean sheet against Stoke and boast the Gameweek’s second most popular transfer target in their line-up.

The towering Ahmed Hegazi has picked up over 504,000 new owners ahead of today’s clash and already ranks fourth for transfers in ahead of Gameweek 4 before taking to the pitch.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Omg.. Morata has been the worst player on the pitch. Grabs a goal and an assist in 40 mins..

You must be watching the wrong game. Quality hold up play, getting into good spaces.

no he's been poor...lost the ball almost every time, even on the assist he miscontrolled it...

he lost the ball and it bounced back towards him. it then fell to him again and he tapped it towards fabregas. you must be watching the wrong game.

Sometimes you lose the ball. Proper play to him to stay calm and cool and find Fabs.

i agree he's been clinical, but i just don't think he's had quality hold up play to this point, definitely a good fantasy option

Don't agree. He has picked up a bit, but gets dispossessed a lot, and coming towards the ball with too much speed.

only returns so far from the ever dependable Soton defence double up.

                  Ah.

As someone is saying below, I think squad depth will become and issue once CL starts.

I also don't think Conte has done enough to keep the team mentality strong enough to contend for he title again this year.

My guess is that the trophy will end up in Manchester - probably the blue side.

I know all clubs have to be televised a certain number of times, but certain combinations of teams should be off-limits for TV games. My heart sinks when I see any 2 of Stoke, WBA, Burnley in a TV match, and I suspect you can probably add Brighton, Newcastle, Soton to it this season.
