Have to get Salah this GW. Have two ways and I can't decide. One is Haaland out and Watkins in and the other is Son out and Mitoma in. So hard to choose.

Spent all week harassing all of you regards my 2 FTs. Ive finally made a decision and will stick to it

Mbeumo and Botman to Diaby and Gabriel

Other options were included Mitoma, Tsimikas, Gordon, Palmer, Trippier and even a hit to swap Maddison for Watkins. Finally ended up on Diaby due to the fact that Every villa game I've watched diaby has looked threatening and playing oop... but his stats were poo. So I did some digging

GW8 was diaby playing through an injury and he had his worst performance. So I've removed that game from my checklist. Chelsea away and Liverpool away were tough games and he still popped up in good positions but his overall stats for GW8, Chelsea and Liverpool are poor and have basically given a poor outlook overall
In the remaining 6 games he has clocked up nearly 2.8 XGi. This puts him squarely in the same league as mitoma ie just under 0.5 XGi a game. Considering the next 5 matches + injury behind him and villa and Watkins in form I can see him posting 0.5+ XGI per game. So hopefully I get atleast 3 goal involvments in 5 weeks which along with a CS or 2 and BPs would be a good base return. That coupled with villa fans feedback has cemented it for me.

Side Note that Ive been watching highlights of villa and I'd forgotten how beautiful his offside goal takedown and shot was
