    Front 8 for now are:

    Saka Foden Son Palmer Barkley
    Solanke Haaland Watkins

    Two questions:

    1. Worth to bring in any doubler for a hit?
2 Who would you bench out the above?

    Thanks

Will use my free transfer for Estupinan to Doughty. It means my defense is: Gabrie Doughty Ake (or Maguire if fit). Could maybe do Ake to Bournemouth defender for a hit but not sure....

I'd wait on Estupinan because there's a chance he may play at the weekend as they have Europa in midweek.

I'm deciding on whether to move Ake or Estu to Doughty myself.

I’m guessing he won’t be a secret when it’s confirmed he’s back! 😉 On a serious note, I expect we’ll know on Thursday - I suspect (hope) he’ll play 30 mins off the bench to get him ready for the showdown with City. Otherwise it’ll be after the international break imo

90 pointer and best week of the season at 270k. That's 13 greens in 15 now, gone up from the depths of 5.5m to just outside a 1.0m..!

Can I still salvage a top 500k do you think? In 18 seasons I've only had one outside 280k.

Is KDB to Son worth a -4? It means I would need to bench Bailey or Palmer.

Torn between FH29 or get to 9 with 2 hits over the next 2 week (-8 total).

Currently have 5 in Arreola Taylor Doughty Son & Watkins, so the question is

    A) Tripps & Hwang > Zabarn & Tavernier (-4) then FH29

    B) GW28 Hwang Haaland > Bowen Morris (-4)
GW 29 Solanke Foden > Toney Maddison (-4) to leave 9 for BGW29

A - Maguire > Doughty (and bench Branthwaite)
    B - Haaland > Morris
    C - Roll and FH in 29

I have currently only Martinez, Watkins and Taylor for GW29, but have 3 FTs to use for it. Better option here?

    A) Use 3 FTs + take 1 hit for -4 and field Martinez, Watkins, Taylor, Son, Toney, Bowen, Maddison. Wildcard GW30/31.

    B) Ignore the gameweek, play FH and use transfers for DGW28 players. WC later before using BB.

Selling Haaland for Morris for -4 sounds like classic DGW madness (it probably is) but, if I’m not using my FH in 29 and considering -4 to get to 11 players, it would make sense to take the hit this week (when Morris has an extra fixture) rather than 29, right?

By no means committed to this move but, if I was to do it, it would make most sense to do it this week? Basically gives Morris an extra game to make up the hit? Will likely use my FT in 29 to bring in another midfielder

I was considering this because Luton is the only team with 3 matches in 2GW's. Don't want to lose value from my midfield players or Watkins/Haaland with WC shortly ahead. Not playing the FH chip next week either. So a Tripper > Luton defender (already have Doughty) releases cash for blank GW transfer whatever that ends up being and gives me an extra player in the blank GW. IT woudl mean benching Van Hecke vs NFO or Andersen vs LUT. I benched Andersen in GW7 and he scored 15pts that week.

That depends on your chip strategy imo...

I'll be FHitting in GW29 so for me it would be a no no, however if you're looking to get through GW28 and GW29 without using a chip then that may be a move for you 🙂

I expect Luton will score against Bournemouth. Sheff United is the best bet for a Bournemouth clean sheet.

Cheers, G! I plan to be behind the couch for at least the next 2 GWs. Since I can't play Raya in GW28, I expect the odds should be higher for an ARS CS.

G: Quickly and badly worded bad joke. As on loan, Raya can't play for Arsenal against his parent club, so I will play Areola and have just one Arsenal defender this week rather than two. Given general bad luck with Arsenal clean sheets, I was expecting a CS more likely this week, when I have fewer points to gain from it. Next time I should just think more and type less when replying... Have a great GW!

Any cherries faithfuls know how long Kelly Is expected to be out for?

Am planning some big moves with maybe a -8... does anyone think I have the order of priority right?

      1. Alvarez to Solanke
      2. Gross to Barkley
      3. Senesi to Kerkez
      4. Haaland to Morris and hold onto the value until after GW30 to swing him back.

      Thoughts? Sane or mental?

Can't find an estimate anywhere, I'm afraid. Closest is this:

Think I'll probably just chance it with Kerkez

What would you do with this team? Very much on the fence with chip strategy. 1 FT and £1.9m ITB. Only one GW28 doubler as it stands.

      A) Walker > Zab. FH29.
      B) Walker + Porro > Zab + Doughty (-4). FH29 but frees up funds for Salah in GW31.
      C) Haaland + Gordon + Walker > Morris + Bowen + Doughty (-8). Will avoid FH in 29 with another -4 (fielding 10) and WC 31.

      Areola
      Saliba - Gabriel - Walker
      Foden - Saka - Palmer - Son
      Haaland - Watkins - Solanke (C)

      Bench: Dubravka; Gordon, Porro, Konsa.

My strategy is very similar to C. I can't decide whether to go with 9 or take a -4 Foden -> Maddi for GW29 (not sure it's worth losing all the value tied up in Phil for a -knowing my luck- Maddy 2-pointer).

I think the -4 would be worth it in GW29 as you'll also have Maddo for Luton when Foden plays Arsenal in GW30.

How much value do you have tied up in him? I'd lose £0.2m for selling but not particularly bothered about that if I can WC him back in 31.

Yeah, the original plan was to get Maddi with that Luton game in mind too; but after last week I'm wondering if Foden is fixture-proof and a season-keeper. I'd lose 0.3 on him if I sold (assuming he doesn't rise again). My team value is pretty good (just shy of 107) so I can probably absorb that loss no probs. Then as you say WC back in 31. Yeah, the Maddi hit makes sense.

            Thanks.

Please help. to FT or not to FT?!

I can get to 8 players in GW29 with taking -8, but one of those players is Taylor. My planned GW29 team is:

        Areola
        Taylor Doughty
        Son Bowen Maddison
        Toney Watkins

Question is, shall I use the FT chip, or will the above players be enough? I currently have all chips left apart from TC. Thanks!

I think that's the minimum to avoid a Free Hit. Can you not squeeze in a Morris or Barkley? In appearance points alone they'd pay off a hit over 28-29.

Thanks for commenting. My current team is:

              Areola
              Walker Gabriel Trippier
              Saka Foden Odegaard Palmer
              Haaland Toney Watkins:

              Subs: Kellaher, Taylor, Estu, Richarlson

I have 2ft and i planned to do in GW28 Haaland + Rich + Walker to Solanke + Bowen + Doughty for -4.
In GW29 I plan to do Foden + Odegaard to Son + Maddison for -4.

I can't get Morris in, unless i take Solanke out straight after his double. I could get Barkley in for Palmer, but I want to keep Palmer long-term.

The only other option is taking a further -4 for a defender, but not sure who to bring in.

Senesi -> Zabranyi (-4) worth it? (Not FH-ing in GW29 but don't want another GW29 defender).

The alternative is playing Udogie, whom I think will be a 1-2 pointer in GW28. I guess it means Zabranyi needs one clean sheet for it to pay off, but that's realistic given the fixtures.

I could also do Branthwaite - > Zabs on the -unlikely- but slim chance that Senesi makes a miraculous recovery and then I'd have double Bourn defence.

Senesi owners (myself included): you did not miss Bournemouth's clean sheet. They may have kept a clean sheet with him on the pitch, they may have conceded three Senesi OGs, or anything in between.

It's a bit like saying (and this is bafflingly common even in professional sports journalism) "Werner scored in the 85th and 90th minute and he could have had a hat trick if he hadn't missed that chance on 10 minutes." It doesn't work like that. The first outcome in the sequence helps to determine everything else that follows.

I am aware that this is a terrible example because it assumes the existence of a universe where Werner scores two goals in a game XD

I have already taken -4 to bring in Solanke and Smith from Bou - would you still start KDB, foden and Haaland vs Liv or would you do -8 and bring in Son in for KDB?

                  Areola
                  Gabriel - Saliba - Smith
                  Saka - Palmer - KDB - Foden
                  Solanke - Haaland - Watkins
BENCH: Dubravka - Bailey - Porro - Maguire

Or even play any one off the bench instead of KDB, but that just feels dirty...??

I also want Salah GW30 so maybe keep KDB and then swap for Salah in 2 weeks? jeeeez

The template move would be KDB to Son, but despite the fixture I think having that City trio could be a great differential this wek.

A very succinct way of asking a question everyone cares deeply about.

I would take the hit for Son personally. I feel KdB is still a minutes risk and the Manchester derby was the only reason he played all of that game. Besides, it's not a -8 really, it's just another -4.

I'd wait on Estupinan as Brighton play midweek in Europa.
Could start again at the weekend.

                    Bailey based on price,
                    Foden based on fixture.

Personally would bench Palmer out of that lot. Think City v Liverpool and Villa v Spurs will be goalfests

Turner to Neto seems a good move for points gains this week right?

I can’t see many other clean sheets other than Arsenal and maybe West Ham.

What if you have Areola, no point benching him if you see a possible cs
