The Knee Jerk – Gameweek 10

And now it seems that Leroy Sane is Pep’s new favourite. Surely we can’t go on like this, bending to Guardiola’s whims and moving from player to player as he switches his affections?

And yet, as this is typed, Fantasy managers are doing just that, making way for Leroy Sane’s arrival in their squad by selling David Silva and even Raheem Sterling. Just as last week we saw thousands eject Gabriel Jesus to welcome back Sergio Aguero.

As it turned out, that move went unpunished. The Brazilian could not deliver at The Hawthorns on starting ahead of Aguero, failing to even record a single shot on goal in a match that City dominated and registered 15 attempts.

That’s an alarming statistic and one that hardly offers encouragement for his security of start. Jesus’ owners will already be concerned that today’s decision to rest Aguero is further indication that Guardiola’s two main strikers are job sharing.

The midweek teamsheet in Napoli will provide new clues as to the intention for Gameweek 11, when Arsenal visit the Etihad Stadium. Depending on the teamsheet in Italy, Aguero could get the start against the Gunners, as he bids to finally break the club goal scoring record on home turf. That could see Jesus back on the bench. Maybe.

Pep’s rotation across his “five forwards” is clearly in full swing. There’s almost a system; almost a tantalising pattern forming.

Today Bernardo Silva started, while Raheem Sterling was omitted for a second successive Gameweek. However, this time it was Sterling who was the one of the five chosen for the now standard 30-minute cameo. He capitalised on that opportunity. Sterling’s goal – a seventh of the season – issued a reminder that he can work for us, even when handed limited pitch time.

But just three weeks ago, the idea of back-to-back bench roles for Sterling seemed improbable. He had started five successive league matches when available, with Pep smiling on the winger as his favoured “support striker” option.

Now Guardiola’s gaze appears to have shifted to Sane. The German has now started five successive league matches and seven of last eight in all competitions. In those five Gameweeks, he has supplied four goals and five assists and now sits on top of the overall FPL standings.

The case for Sane is strong, but is he really immune to his manager’s selection policy?

These continued attempts to break the code and work out Pep’s next shuffle is tiresome, but perhaps not as futile as the current market trend of moving from one City asset to the next.

Surely we have to commit, accept some frustration and hope we get value from our weapon of choice.

It’s highly debatable if that can be either Aguero or Jesus at this present time. However, one of Sterling or Sane, with Silva the less explosive but more dependable choice, looks the way to go.

Playing for higher stakes could pay off, but Guardiola’s game of roulette appears to be a major distraction for our transfer policy at a time when options like Eden Hazard are edging back into contention.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

Lessons learned from Gameweek 10 so far

Here’s a few to get the discussion started

Free Chip Hit comes at a cost.

Those that played this chip in and invested heavily in Manchester City players in Gameweek 5 and 6 did well. But many of those that took advantage of injury news and fixtures to use it this Gameweek so far have missed out on similar hauls. Sanchez, Morata, Salah, Aguero, Jesus all failed to haul and clean sheets for Arsenal and City failed to materialize.

Does this show that as with other chips – using them outside of doubles and blanks comes with substantial risk. Perhaps the safest and best time to use this chip really will be around the second half season blanks. Using it later could revolutionise our usual double Gameweek strategy – unshackling us from forced moves and hits in reduced fixture Gameweeks.

    Pep rotation revisited

If we are to invest in Man City attackers we have to accept that comes with a risk. Sane once again starts and shines. Aguero and Sterling benched, Jesus and DSilva do little, but at least start.

City may not have broken Fantasy Football, but perhaps they have broken the first rule of Fantasy Football – only pick nailed on players. The rewards can be so great, and their players are capable of hauls even in 30 minutes not 90, that perhaps they are worth it.

Sterling for example showed that for 8m or so he is still worth it even if benched.

However, there is credence in a number of posts over the last week suggesting that midfielders like Sane, Sterling and Silva should be where we focus our attention, rather than on Jesus and Agueo. They are cheaper for a start.

Also as has also been discussed – can we really ever trust a City player with the armband?

    Salah is on penalties…for now

There was much discussion that Klopp wasn’t serious when he said Salah was on penalties after his international heroics. Sadly for us owners it looks like he is.

    Richarlison

“But, but Richarlison’s home stats are so poor because he has only played tough teams at Vicarage Road,” they said.

Given he was once again wasteful at home, this time against Stoke (the league’s most travel sick side), are we perhaps seeing a pattern for this magic bean. Wasteful at home – a source of points away.

As was discussed on this week’s Scoutcast, if we are to step aboard the Richarlison bandwagon now is clearly the time (STK eve WHU new)…but is it those road trips where owners should be more hopeful?

Hazard really will always score against Bournemouth

As was shared this week the Belgian has said that he feels the Cherries will always concede to him. Seems he is right. Well, that’s our Gameweek 25 captain sorted.

What key lessons have your learned this week?

Time to ditch Jesus and not Firmino to bring Kane back next week if fit.. Going to run with Sterling & Silva. No point having a 10m player I can’t captain. Might actually trade Firmino out for Lukaku or Morata for this very reason.

Always always always wait until Friday pressers before making trades.

And don’t be too hasty getting rid of good players. Would’ve sold Firmino if Kane wasn’t injured. That would have been a bitter pill. Kolasanic another that’s retuned the faith as did Bailly.

Jesus and Aguero are maybe too expensive for players that you can't really rely on to captain. If one of them gets a long term injury then the other becomes essential but until then...

For me the biggest dilema is front 3. Kane seems to be only heavy weight that is untouchable, with rotation of City strikers plus far from ideal form of Morata and Laca I am considering going heavy in midfield (Hazard, Sane, Silva, Sterling, Salah) and bit lighter at the front Vardy plus Firmino maybe.

For Me I'm looking at Kane and Lukaku from GWK 12 and a cheap third striker. It's clear that there is no third striker gem (even Vardy and Firmino) who can be consistent so I'm tempted by a cheapie like Abraham/Diouf/Hemed even who can be rotated or nick a goal. There are so many midfielders I want currently. I've already started diverting funds from defence to midfield and over the next couple of weeks I'll be doing the same from attack.

Kane (explosive) and Lukaku (consistent) are fantastic Fantasy options and the only two strikers I can say that about.

For the price of Lukaku is a wee bit too much for his returns. From 11.5m plus player I would expect double digit hauls not singular assists.

it's only better if you are bringing multiple players in and out at the right time, and/or getting the captaincy right as well.
for a fire and forget option i would always go with consistency. But Kane is consistently explosive anyhoo!

Dont dispute any of it, but for now you can get same level of consitancy from Jones who is less than half the price of Lukaku.
Once Romelu starts banging them in I might consider him myself but for now Im out.

What do you think about these moves, gents?
          GW11: Monreal > Moreno
GW12: Eriksen, Abraham > RLC, Kaku for a hit

My team will look like this:
          DDG
          Otamendi Jones Moreno
          Salah DSilva Richarlison RLC
          Kane Kaku Morata

          Elliot Tarroll Naughton Long

I've never played with three big hitters upfront. Thoughts? Thanks!

          Kane-Lukaku-Cheapie with Hazard.
          or

Tired of getting Pepped. Sold Sterling, sticked with D.Silva and Jesus ..

          yep. me too.
started moving funds out of defence into mids.(Bavies gone, Kola going).
Going with Lukaku & Abraham over Jesus & Vardy.
Doubling Sane & Sterling. (alongside Salah, Zaha & Richarlison).
Think Abraham is going to give me good flexibilty on formations on a weekly basis.

Build a squad not a first 11. RLC got me an assist and is coming off the bench for aguero.

Very very happy with the ppm of Sterling. He was close to even more points in his 30 minutes. He definitely stays for me.

This gameweek seemed to take the day off. For once i avoided all the scores and watched MOTD and it was painful viewing. Not sure too much can be concluded from this gameweek, with the big teams facing off in GW11 its tempting to save a free and do some proper surgery post international break.

Same old story with Man City, players will rotate in points and starting places. Sane seems favourite to start or you could also say favourite to be benched now. They are a team we just have to assess gameweek by gameweek and for the most part avoid captaining.

The biggest problem at the moment is the lack of strikers, especially the cheaper ones. Just waiting for a bandwagon to get going then I think I will be happy with my team. Problem is noone looks close to being an option that we can be confident in. Anyone got any tips for third strikers with the coming fixtures?

Its a problem for both - but Salah plays for a better team that long term creates far more chances. Richarlison is a young player for a team that will at best finish mid table and may even be dragged into a relegation scrap.

Richarlison and Salah are midfielders but as fantasy assets the comparison ends there.

The difference in price reflects the fact Salah plays in the better team I believe. Like RLC (and Alli/Mahrez in the past) people look at their cost and believe they can't be captain material.

With hindsight the FHC was a failure, not because the blank/dgw are a better time to use it, but because the unlikely scenario of just about every big hitter failing happened. The 'told you so' brigade are making a big assumption that the blank week players they bring in won't also bomb.

      1. Sims
        • 7 Years
        6 years, 7 months ago

even if those players bomb in a blank gameweek youre guaranteed some sort of return becuase youll probably be picking them over players who wont play

this week on the other a lot of FH chip users actually got less than those with their normal teams

Of course, but your argument is still based on hindsight. If the likes of Jesus, Morata, Lacazette, Richarlison and Sanchez(c) had turned up I could have been looking at a three figure haul and it's unlikely you would get anywhere near that in a blank gw. They didn't, but at least I brought in Sane and Moreno and only Jones and Lukaku from my original team did anything

But that is the same for those very same players every single game week and very rarely do we get 100 point game weeks

You can Haul big with a FHC but it is big a gamble with a big upside ... using it in a blank game week is less of a gamble (because you are better off having 11 playing than your original 7 playing) to do better, but the rewards are not so high

It's not the same as a normal week though, on the FHC you bring in 11 players specifically for that week who all have what look like great fixtures and that never happens in a normal gw. I agree with your second point

Was this week really one of those though ? Arsenal against a Swansea team with 5 at the back and conceded just one goal away, Kun always going to be benched, Man U clean sheet chance with the bus parked, injuries to Liverpool and Spurs top guns ? Just didn’t seem the time to press the button with so much doubt around

Yup.It wasn't the chip that failed (or the timing of it) it was the players.Just one of those game weeks where the big names didn't turn up.I was expecting big scores from those that played it.Just unlucky and whose to say the same won't happen when I play mine in the blank week.

The Free Hit Chip value, as Sims has said, is what your new team scores -but also what it scores above your original side.

If you use it during the blanks when your original players are not playing and ordinarily you can only field 7-8 then the risk is reduced.

This week people's original teams outscored their FHC - that can happen when using it outside of a blank.

We've seen season after season that the wildcard, BB and TC chips have been best used around DGWKs....I fully expect the same to apply to the FHC.

The FHC is a great chip - but people who use it outside of a blank gameweek know it's use comes with heightened risk.

The added twist is that people ‘free hit’ to stick a plaster in a dodgy injury ravaged team for a week, rather than carry out the surgery and take 2 or 3 transfers

Ordinarily the transfers also avoid maybe a .2 or .3 TV swing, whereas you have to suck up the TV drop with the Free Hit

            Worth considering

Exactky, and in a big blank game week with the top teams blanking, there are very few decent players like that being traded - just the best of the dross who may score a few goals or get a few clean sheets.

The value of the free hit chip is surely the number of points you get from it, not when you use it. Saving it for a blank gameweek (when likely everyone using it will select a template side) seems not only the dullest option but offers little differential.

Can't judge it as a failure simply because people failed with it this week, there were some of us who used it in GW7 who had massive success.

Like with all chips, they don't guarantee points, you need the luck to go with it.

Lukaku for Everton in a DGW
Aguero for City last year in a DGW

Two examples of massive TC failures in double weeks.

There's no right or wrong when the element of luck is such a key factor.

The ‘told you so’ brigade are at it because there were several reasons not to use the FH. People used the chip because of Kane, totally ignoring that they had Sterling/Sane, Lukaku, Salah etc. already. These guys on their day will get returns so basically people were getting rid of capable big hitters for new and shinier toys. There was always a significant risk that their real team would outscore/match the FH team.

Now think towards a blank weekend where most of top 6 will be playing in the FA cup. With so many big hitters potentially absent there will be no chance that your real team would outscore/match a FH team, even if it means filling up the FH team with hit and miss players from lower teams.

Can't pick Agüero or Jesus. Said it last week and can see it even more clearly now.

Popular players on here don't always return. Choupo, Richarlison and plenty of others hyped up can blank. The key is not to knee-jerk.

Tammy Abraham starting to look like a quality FPL prospect. Hardly Josh King, but definitely a good option for now.

Keep Lukaku, he didn't look great but he had about 3 or 4 quality chances that on another day could've gone in.

With citeh assets, it’s all about having a bench you trust. I’ve managed to get Atsu in as a fifth mid for the weeks Raheem doesn’t play a minute. It’s been working ok so far

the main lesson i have learned this gw is not to put (c) on any arsenal player they will troll you
plus i did -8 and now need mahrez to return something just to break even plus it will take another -4 to get kane back next week (if fit) but still should have green arrows thanks to sane and kola

I think Aguero not starting is only because of the midweek game unexpectingly going to ET. Pep couldn't see this coming and if City were cruising in that game I am sure he would have taken off Aguero round the 70 min mark and started him against WBA which is not an easy game (which turned out to be the case). Other than that, I think that Aguero will start most games and get enough minutes to be captain material. I am very tempted to captain him against Arsenal. I am very confident he will start and do well . He will 100% be my captain if Kane isn't back for CPL (which I don't think he will).

As for Jesus, he is extremely overpriced. He is basically a 10.6m Sterling or Sane classified as a forward and as much a rotation risk as them. He cannot be compared to Aguero who can win you games on this own. Jesus has done well in FPL terms since coming to EPL but most of his goals are tap-ins. He will only get you returns when the entire team is cruising in a match but he is never going to be the focal point like Aguero.

Sterling isn't worth 8m if he's benched. He won't come off the bench and score every time. If he hadn't scored yesterday, there would've been a meltdown here and we would've seen a different conclusion from you.

And Gameweek 25 captain sorted? LOL. What a pointless statement/plan 😆

Sterling and Sane are worth their price tag. Silva isn't. Sooner or later when the schedule stiffens he will be rotated. He doesn't score goals and would rarely be in the baps with all the other players scoring regularly around him. And he is in a dry run like Mkhi. Those who got him early should be thankful for getting his points. Time to take your profit and look elsewhere.

No, they aren't (Sane owner and captainer). For the reason I just mentioned. Yes, in the long term they may accumulate enough points for their price tags, which makes them good picks in the draft. But in FPL, our psychology is to expect points every week. Like I said, if Sterling hadn't scored yesterday, people would have been selling him. Human psychology.

And no, people are being impatient with Silva. If you look at his stats from the last game, they're even better than Sane's. Now he's still not going to be as explosive as Sane and Sterling, that's a fact. But over time with more minutes, he's going to get you decent points. He's actually been taking more shots since the Chelsea game, so I expect some goals to come.

We don't know if he's going to be rotated, so there's no point in assuming that now. I'm giving him at least 2 more weeks.

Silva has never been a goal scorer all his career so slightly improved stats don't really matter. Sane and Sterling are worth it long term if you have a decent bench. They are risky to captain for sure but with Kun, Kane, Lukaku as the main captaincy options in FPL this season, I doubt you'd need to captain them.

There is no such thing as expecting points every week. This is not CL fantasy football with Messi and Ronaldo.

Hope for points every week is what I meant. Guess 'expect' was the wrong word.

Disagree about Silva. And long term sure, but depends on how often they're benched. Sterling has been benched for 2 games in a row now, which is terrible. If it's more of the odd benching in 1 out of 5 games, it's probably worth it, imo.

The fact is that he has a lower likelihood of getting points when he comes on from the bench for lesser minutes.

Good luck losing your mind when he's benched and hoping for the best every week.

If City already are a goal or two up all their attacking subs will continue to have a field day, simply because they will run the opposition into the ground for the first 60-65 minutes, plus them being forced to attack to try and draw level. Sterling could very easily have had a 15 pointer yesterday.

Agreed, but City are in kind of a hot form now. Are they going to keep scoring 3+ goals every game? There is no way they will keep it up for the entire season. When it slows down, you certainly don't want a player coming off the bench for you when there are alternatives in other teams.

I have Sane right now, but I could sell him at any time.

Selling Hazard backfired but got Sane and Salah who I'd rather have in my team and have money to get Laca>Kane FT with 0.3 left. Laca was a flop. Thought about Firmino but hey. Also gut C pick was Sane but plumped for Laca who disappointed. 31(-8) with 4 to play but happy with my 15

Lukaku reminds me of Costa last season very consistent without the hauls (Keep)

Jesus can supply hauls when starts, but for £10.5 I prefer a guaranteed starter
      (Sell)

Kolasinac looks like the premuim Def to own & will only improve even in the tough fixtures he’s got attacking potential...

Desperately need to ship Jesus...in a free scoring Man City side he didn't get a shot off...shocking! And he'll rotate with Aguero now seemingly, so neither are and option.

Kane + Lukaku + cheap 3rd going forwards...Morata seems to be doing a Gabbiadini...not going there now.

Need to get Phil Jones back...never should've shipped him!

God bless Azpi...my only decently performing player currently!

I think recent results are skewing your views Jonty. Over many, many years it's always been the case that you go with nailed on starters. It's all well and good to assume that Sterling will come on every game but that's a big assumption. Aguero didn't. Meanwhile, you have players like Hazard returning. It's also an assumption that Sterling etc will perform every time the come on. And if they don't, the only way to carry players like this is having a RLC on the bench. And for that cash it's never likely they return much more than 2 every week. That's why they are at that price. The price of Aguero and Jesus completely rule them out. Are they really going to out score a Lukaku or Morata over the season when they don't start every game? Despite a few explosive performances, of course not. And you can't assume Richarlison is a dud because of 4 home games, mostly against top teams. His XG is where it is because the shots are being taken and if he is an average player, the delta will be zero over the season. Given he has exceeded XG away that suggests he is not average. Kane also "couldn't" do it at home. Until he did. There is a huge confirmation bias here all the time, a player doesn't score for a few games and then a story is constructed to explain it whilst at the same time ignoring stats that over the course of a season will average out. They always do.

        15
        16 capt switch to Kane

This is why he is good even if he doesn’t start - as long as you have a strong bench and alternative captains.

You can if you have strong bench and a good capt.

So let’s take that out - he’s still got me

            15
            2
            7

            That’s 24 in 3.

You can keep chipping away at it but the fact remains sterling gets pts whether he starts, comes on it doesn’t show up.

I get the argument about having a strong bench reducing the impact of a player who gets rotated a lot...that's just common sense management.

I also accept the argument further below about Sterling playing 2 games out of 3 and scoring 22 is still better than David Silva scoring 7+3+2=12 but playing all 3 games...this is also common sense.

But you can't claim that bench player's points in the score for Sterling...points don't magically transfer onto another player as an argument for them "being value"

Let's do some reductio ad absurdum...

              - I bring in the FPL powerhouse that is Axel Tuanzebe (3.9m non-playing)
              - I play him every week
              - I also have Harry Kane as 1st bench each week
              - every week Harry Kane comes off the bench and I get his points

...so, by your logic, Axel Tuanzebe is matching Harry Kane's point scoring...but for 8.8m less money, making him exceptional value.

Summary...you'd be insane not to get Axel Tuanzebe in...his ppg/ppm is off the charts.

...however, clearly this is nonsense 😆

Sterling is 15+0+7 for you over the last 3 GWs, 7.3ppg

              #logic

              🙂

                I prefer Jonty's argument.

Starting Sterling with RLC on the bench is sensible and realistic - starting Tuanzebe with Kane on the bench is not.

Look again - let’s take that out - still 24 pts over three weeks. I think that’s great for a player that cost 7.9 .

We can go round in circles here but if his owners had ignored him they would be missing out on a player that is delivering pts.

That’s the point - do we need to re evaluate our long held ideas around nailed on ness when City is providing us with players like sterling.

24 points from 3 weeks for his price is fantastic, I agree with that.

My only concern would be that he's been benched for 2 consecutive weeks now. There's little doubt that he's going to start against Napoli. Which means we'll once again be left wondering if he'll start next weekend. Are you okay with him being benched and hoping he'd come on and score yet again?

I don't think Salah is on penalties, I think Coutinho is but didn't play.

I also think we mustn't infer too much about Pep's rotation strategy in amongst these massively important Napoli fixtures. Te same for Pocchetino and Spurs/Real Madrid.

The rotation and resting we're seeing now is unique to the critical fixture congestion they both face at the moment. When it eases up I think their starting 11 will be more stable.

The lesson I learned is not to worry about having to field 11 players. A strong bench is great for the 3 or 4 times a season that you need it. The rest of the time it is just a massive waste of funds.

This week gave you a preview of why you should not use the FHC in a blank week.

Those who used it this week transferred in most of the popular players this week from a smaller pool due to Pep's uncertainty and injuries.

Very few made massive swings because they had pretty much the same teams as people who didn't use the chip but still had the same key players covered.

In a blank week with so few fixtures there will be a smaller template and that's all you'll chose, the swings won't be there, you'll just stay with the pack and it'll be a waste.

Best time to use it IMO is where there a variety of players in form with fixtures to match and the pool is big to chose from, did this myself in GW7 and got a 37 swing out of it, knowing what I know now, I'd do the same again next year and just save the BB and TC for the double weeks.

You may make the same score in GW31 as the others who have saved their FHC for that week.

But you are likely to significantly outscore most of those who have wasted it earlier.

Nothing is certain, but that is the likely probability.

The only thing that's certain is that those with the chip in a blank week won't have exclusivity over a tiny pool of players to someone who don't have the chip.

Hits are only worth a 2 point spend in those weeks so those waiting all year for it will be disappointed at the lack of advantage they thought they were having.

No they are not worth 2 points each.

After your FT you have 7 players, I have 11. To get 11 players you need to make 4 further transfers. That is -16 points. That is not -2 points each.

But I won't try for 11 and neither will most people who have played the game longer than a year.

We see it every year, people panic in weeks like that and load up trying to get 11 starters with 4 or 5 of them 2 point Charlie's, if that's what you want to save your chip for then good luck to you.

I'll take the 37 points gained on my old team in GW7 and be content with that.

Hits are only worth 2 points in a blank week as you are guaranteed 2 back if you pick someone who plays over 60 mins who would have otherwise been a 0, this is all very basic stuff.

You are saving 2 points over having a player not playing a player at all. You are losing 4 points against people who have 11 (i.e. those that are playing FH chip). It is pretty basic stuff.

How has having 11 worked out over the years in weeks with 4 to 6 mediocre teams in it?

                  Good luck with that.

The immediate cost of a hit is 4 points less the amount by which the new player outscores the replaced player.

But hits taken to bring in players specifically for a blank game-week also weaken the squad for subsequent game-weeks, so they in no way compensate for the lack of the chip.

Of course, a few may get lucky and make a better score by playing the chip in an earlier game-week, but they are likely to be in the minority and the odds are against them.

For a fair estimate of the value of the chip, the score in the blank game-week should be compared with the score that would have been obtained in that game-week if no transfers had been made in advance to prepare for it and no hits were taken in order to field a full eleven players.

Very important set of midweek champions league fixtures coming up. They should help with understanding:

    A. Spurs fullbacks for the palace match
    B. Whether Kane will be back for Palace
    C. Who will start for city v Arsenal (I.e. Which two of Kun, Jesus, Sané, Sterling, DSilva, BSilva gets benched for Arsenal)
    D. Whether any midweek injuries throw even more confusion into the mix

Also with a 2 week international break after GW11, that adds even more potential for injuries to impact GW12 onwards. Hold onto those FT's people!

Southampton CS. A Cedric assist would be a bonus.

      Soton clean sheet. Vardy haul.

With a defender on each side, the most turgid, drab 0-0 ever seen tomorrow would be welcome.

1-1 in both games today. As obscure scorers as possible. No assist.

On Monday 1-0 to Newcastle with an og from one of the Burnley defenders. Elliot pen save too

After an absolutely terrible FH chip used week, in actually tempted to save FT with this if Coutinho and Kane return next week, so I have 2 FTs for the international break. Thoughts?

    Elliot
    Alonso | Jones | Davies
    Coutinho | Sterling | Groß | T.Carroll
    Kane | Aguero | Jesus

    Foster | RLC | Mariappa | Tuanzebe

    Thanks

Excited to be running with this front 7 as soon as Kane is fit, maybe it's unjustified hopefulness but I'm certainly optimistic

    Salah Alli Sane Richarlison
    Kane Aguero Abraham

Looks good, can you stretch to Eriksen over Alli Long term?

Unfortunately not unless Kane has a drop of epic proportions. Alli usually matches or outscores Eriksen long term so I'm happy with Alli at a knockdown price tbh. Can see big things for him over Spurs run of fixtures

Alli over Eriksen is an excellent call. No way he justifies 0.4 outlay

Enforced due to budget but I'm happy with it for sure, history tells us they will score similarly with Alli perhaps getting the upper hand due to goals over assists. Fully agree about Eriksen not being able to justify the extra 0.4m outlay.

Try going less exciting/ more dependable by bringing in Lukaku for Kun?

I'll see what goes down gw12 and possibly 13 too with Kun and Kaku, if Kun is playing most prem matches he's a must keep imo and I have doubts over kakus explosiveness, if he proves otherwise and Kun isn't getting enough prem footie to justify the outlay then I'd make the switch gw14

    Elliot
    Bertrand Otamendi Trippier Yoshida
    Salah Sterling Choupo-Moting
    Vardy Kane Lukaku

    Foster Brady Carroll Gamez

    1 FT, 1.1 ITB

I played my FH chip this week and it didn't pay off, now im left with my previous team which I feel needs a bit of surgery... any suggestions??

    Time for the wildcard??

    Thanks

At what will people not consider silva/sterling to sane a waste of a transfer? Sane looks like he'll get double figures every time he plays

Sterling could have had 2 goals and 2 assists last night if his team mates could pass/finish.

Yeah I'm probably thinking more Silva to sane. Sterling also looks like scoring big when he plays.

Surely the free hit chip is much more valuable than triple captain and should be used on a big double gameweek to load up on the big hitters. I get the premise of using it for a blank gameweek but usually the teams here are mid-table and lack big hauls (Joshua king was an exception last season)

And Lukaku. Didn’t he get 2/3 v Bournemouth in the BGW?
