Leicester City’s squad could provide Fantasy Premier League managers with some powerful differentials in the early part of 2019/20.

Probably because of uninspiring opening fixtures, none of Brendan Rodgers’ players is owned by more than 13.7% ahead of Gameweek 1.

However, there is enough in the underlying statistics from last year to suggest the Foxes could enjoy Rodgers’ first full season at the helm.

    Got to say, the boffins at FPL have done a cracking job on prices this year, I cannot find any obvious mis-pricing. Pretty sure there have always been a few asolute bargains in prior years.

        This is the only one that stands out. His stats are impressive considering Newcastle are about as creative as a crusty jizz flannel. Those numbers are only gonna go up at Leicester with more chances.

        Potential....
        He was lazy last year and scored well, if he works hard could be a great bargain. However he has plenty of competition at that price point.

      Yeah they have been on the ball alright with the pricing this season.

      Maybe some of the transfers might catch em out like if AWB does well at United etc.etc. but that out of their control so you are right they have nailed it.

    Still not budged from this for ages. Although seeing Barkley in so many teams now is making me think twice about my Martial punt. That 1.5 could make a hell of a difference.

    I will probably end up sticking with this team and swapping to Barkley if he’s looking decent. There’s just something in my gut telling me that Martial is going to actually do something this season.

    What do we think...??

        In that price bracket, I’m really not bothered having him in from the start. I don’t want Fraser because I have King and don’t fancy double Bournemouth.
        I think we can all afford one punt in our starting 11s. 😉

        I don’t buy it. PL is a special case closer to a major tournament with a lot of pressure to give penalties from the media and from the years of not having it. Shiny new toy, English refs will play with it a lot like they did in WC and give pens for fun

            I agree, mili not the best as he offers precious little else. Attacking pen takers I am all for but not for paying 7m for a penalty machine, even though he may get more than the others that’s all he gets

      I think that VAR early on especially should be considered, I know the stats from other leagues that people have linked however....I was listening to a podcast saying betting markets had priced in 30% + additional penalties this season. Time will tell I guess.

          Maybe, but you don't have the top 2 point scorers from last season. I didn't see a winning team without one or the other. KDB, Tielemans have both been playing deeper in pre-season, Richarlison I don't think has had a pre-seaosn game at all?!

                Yes cards are a risk. I’m skeptics about Grealish this season though, teams will have the measure of him and I doubt he will be allowed to dictate possession and make those runs like last season

                  I’d look elsewhere than villa for good value personally. Hysteria has gotten too great for them on here for some reason, they lack quality. Wesley and heaton who you have I see doing okay and offer decent value but their mids are a no go imo

                  Ive looked into Grelaish quite in-depth. 6 goals last season all came when Smith was in-charge, was out for 10 weeks, (over the Christmas period) with a fracture - had been playing on it. His pass and dribble success rate is above anyone else in the team. McGinn, yep solid shout but yellow cards and possible playing deeper against better teams. I doubt he'll be within 25 points of Grealish by the end of the season.

            Sterling, Salah, KDB, Robinson, Ibe

            Button, Lundstram, Wesley, Greenwood

            Gives me some kind of bench. Is fun. KDB can be Son from GW3.

            And history tells us premium forwards do not offer the best value. Not expecting hauls from Jota and Wesley but can see them getting goals, and would rather have Sterling, Salah and KDB with a premium backline.

      Deulofeu might be overpriced. He represented great value, in part because he was cheaper.

      I think there are better forwards at that price point.

      Sigurdsson is being slept on. Has always been a great FPL asset and Everton have great fixtures.

      They haven't been scoring lots of goals preseason which would be your only worry. That is with DCL on the end of chances.

      Everton sign Kean and it may be a different story.

        Bilva is two goals away from looking like great value, just as it was last season!

        I'm more confident about KDB. We're literally talking about one of the prem's best midfielders when fit.

        He's looked fit and great in preseason.

      Nah. B Silva is too selfless of a player. If he plays on D Silva's spot I'd consider him, but with only 3 city spots I can't see him being template unless injuries pave the way for him.

      If Liverpool get some clean sheets you will do well, worth the gamble! Like Pulisic and Martial, they should be worth more like 9m IMO
