The jury is still out on Manchester United’s Fantasy assets going into the new campaign.

The new manager bounce that the club experienced after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment in December gave way to some middling form in the final nine Gameweeks of the season.

Their pre-season results (five wins from six) have been quietly encouraging, at least, with Inter Milan and Spurs among the teams already beaten in July.

This latest Numbers Game piece differs from the usual format as we focus on the impact Solskjaer had on United’s assets in the second half of last season.

The Norwegian first took charge of the Red Devils in Gameweek 18, so we will examine United’s stats before and after the departure of Jose Mourinho.

            I'm rotating Taylor with Guilbert. Dyche organises a defence very well. They were knocked off their stride by EL last year, but Burnley should be decent at the back. Villa rotate well and this wingback sounds quite exciting. I wouldn't start any 4.5 every game.

              Burnley and Villa fixtures rotate very well together. I'm keeping an eye on Guilbert/Elmo for now though. Hopefully it becomes clear soon who the first choice is and they don't get rotated.

      There is no 10 out of 10 😀
      It is very spread out and you will do well for sure. Low risk team, which is a good tactic to start with.

      Me personally, I like taking risks for potential high reward scenarios 🙂

      Kelly and Greenwood's ownership is quite high. At some point they will be dumped by others and you may not have FT to get rid of them in order to keep your team value.

      I will personally have Adams over Ings in my team. Less injury prone & can also play on flanks. Great pre-season with both goals & assists

        I am also thinking of it.

        What makes me Ings over Adams is, he is already proven player for some degree in PL whereas Adams was a championship player. But yeah, Ings could get injured in GW3 and can swap them 🙂

        I don't think Chelsea fixtures are good (mun, LEI, wol, LIV in the first 6 GWs, and Sheff Utd also have a good defence). Barkley may not be on pen as well when Willian returns.

    Starting off with a 352 and my last big decision is the 5th mid.

    Have 6.0 to spend but really don't know what 6.0/5.5 option to go for.

    Barkley and Trossard are the front runners atm. Then there's Robinson, Ceballos, McGinn, Grealish, JWP etc.

    What player in that price bracket are you taking a punt on?

      Would go for Trossard if I had the money. McGinn or Grealish also a good shout (I prefer McGinn and save the 0.5 for upgrades elsewhere - think he and Grealish will have the same output). Robinson and Ceballos may not start.

    Triple Liverpool defense and no Salah or double defence with Salah and no KDB. I am very fond on KDB this season, he seems like a bargain.

    Bottom line:

    KDB Robbo and Dedoncker (on the bench) or

    I’m thinking No city defence with AWB or Zinc/Stones?

    Alternatively, delete KDB, swap for Moura/Martial and put Laporte in?

    Aubameyang or Kane for first 2/3 Gameweeks ?

    Keeping in mind that :
    - Alli is injured, Eriksen is not in best form, Kane usually struggles in August
    - Lacazette might have a minor injury so Auba will probably start in front

      A transfer is worth 4 pts roughly, youll have other concerns too.

        Kane scored 2 last August against Man Utd and Fulham. I'd suggest this voodoo is no longer a problem
