Manchester City players are the talk of the Fantasy Premier League community ahead of Double Gameweek 30+, with good reason.

They face Arsenal and Burnley in the opening round of Project Restart matches.

We are currently recapping every team in the Premier League as FPL prepares to resume later this month, using data from the period just before March’s coronavirus suspension.

While we appreciate that much has changed since then, it still serves to know who went into lockdown in the best form.

We continue that series with a full examination of the Manchester City squad, using Gameweeks 23 and 29 as our selected period as they missed out on Gameweek 28 due to the League Cup final.

            Agreed, need Kun because a 20+ point haul over the DGW would kill my rank. Ill probably ship him out to get Bruno/Son/whoever is on form when i have 2FTs in GW32+.

                Without sacrificing too much id say. Saiss, Dilva (out for bruno/son in 32) and Reina(for 30 and bench GK till the end of the season) are solid picks.

      Leno + Henderson ties up a lot of money on your GK bench unless you make a GK transfer. Then again, you need a playing second keeper for GW31+ if you choose to keep Henderson going forward. Egan/O'Connell + Reina would net you some extra funds over your Targett + Henderson combo, but it comes down to your GW32-38 GK rotation plan: are you planning to play or bench Henderson/Leno?

      DCL is an alternative to Pukki. Mahrez is a DGW punt option instead of Bruno, but needs a transfer to get rid of so Bruno seems better long term unless WC31 or FH30.

        IF Auba fails to impress, can take hit to get Mane for Pool's home game to Villa. But i am thinking about rotation now with Pool after the inevitable title victory.

        It's basically a choice between Auba and Mane then afterwards. Son & Tony looks great as they are talismans so less rotation prone as compared to Mane i guess.

    If you currently have a strong team for the remainder of the season + BB, freehit and wildcard all available, what is the best strategy going forward?

    A. Freehit this GW, and use the chips later
    (no team value losses)
    B. Use unlimited transfers and BB this GW, use wildcard next GW

    I’m starting to think that A is the best one, as BB (with Aston Villa etc players) doesn’t look that tempting...

      You don't need to have AVL players though, many teams have decent fixtures in this round as well as in next few GWs. You can fill your bench with NEW/WAT/SOU/LEI/WOL players.

      I would say A but then there's nit gonna be much opportunity to use BB, plus you want a squad of 15 starters to make the most of it, which you won't necessarily want for other weeks

        How do you know who are going to start this gameweek after a 3 month break? Some managers desicions will be made based on fitness test, and we have no clue about players fitness.

      Started arsenals last 3 premier league games. Arteta seems to rate him more than Laca at the moment. And a little bonus he scored a hatrick the other day against Charlton!!

      Personally: FH now since it's DGW, ignore the FTs available, and BB later. GW34+ looks like a decent BB option to me.

        Once you activate it you can carry on doing transfers until the deadline. After it will go back to the team you had prior to doing any transfers

    Any thoughts about going Jesus instead of Aguero. Understand that aguero starts all the home games and not many away but why do you think that that is? Could be because he needs the fans backing. Can really imagine them starting a game each with aguero most probably be against Arsenal rather than Burnley.

    Correct me if Im wrong...

    If Pool beats Everton, they win the league in DGW30 if City loses one of their two games. Right? 4/6 for City and they mathematically cant win it in 30.
