Newcastle United’s players are assessed as we continue with our series of team-by-team refresher articles ahead of the Fantasy Premier League resumption in June.

Looking firstly at data from the six Gameweeks that took place immediately before the suspension of play in March, we will also venture further back in time where relevant to highlight any season-wide trends.

Steve Bruce’s side are not the most glamorous outfit and goals have been very hard to come by in 2019/20, although only five clubs have registered more clean sheets.

Most Fantasy managers who are in the market for a Newcastle player, then, will be gravitating towards the Magpies’ defensive assets.

                Surely pep will want to settle a squad, they haven’t played in a long time

                D Silva is one of the best players in the squad

                A lot of it depends on who has come back to training fit

                But I don’t think we’ll see the rotation like it was mid season

                  Yeah but it's not just the he 30 bubble, Chelsea is a few days after so will want the big hitters for that instead of Burnley.

    Seeing more & more links with Premier League clubs & Nicolo Zaniolo

    This morning it’s Liverpool, I’m pretty sure Spurs & Utd were linked last week... (he’d be a great Pogba replacement)

    By complete fluke I happened to have a Serie A match on about 6-7 months ago (the one where he unfortunately got injured) and he looked a freakishly good central midfielder

    A real all rounder - gigantic unit, good dribbling, tackling, passing etc - the whole package - whoever ends up getting him will have a serious player on their hands - still only 20 too

    Hope he recovers fully from the cruciate injury

      The rejig of my BB resulting from Sterling to Mahrez allowed me to upgrade Cantwell to Mount and Lascelles to Doherty and saves me another 0.2 in TV. I think it's worth it.
